Place was exactly as advertised and host helped with recommendations, and was responsive to any questions / issues. Lovely place to stay near several great hikes!

Everything was wonderful. Great communication, very clean, felt very safe. Climate was very comfortable. Our host gave us a list of things to do and explore, places to eat, we felt right at home. I felt like we underpaid for the space. We had a great time.

This cabin was perfect for our small family. The boys LOVED the hot tub and the creek. We found the sound of the creek so peaceful. We wish the fire ban wasn’t in place because we love a good fire at night, but we found plenty of other activities to do instead. We had a wonderful stay.

This home was a great value for the space. The location was a nice, remote hideaway in the mountains but still close enough to hiking trails & Cherokee. It made for a nice getaway. We also had everything we needed to cook every meal, including seasoning & cookware.

My family had a great stopover at Jason’s place. It was set up so well for a family (we have 4 kids) and everything was clean and just as described. Jason was quick to communicate the few times we needed to reach out, and should we ever find ourselves in that part of NC we would love to stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! Lake Nantahala is absolutely beautiful and the cabin was wonderful for a quick getaway. The porch overlooking the lake is perfect for enjoying the fresh air and while the walk down to the lake is steep the steps and pathway made it really easy. The space was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our favorite part of cabin was sitting on the dock in the adirondack chairs! Would definitely recommend if looking in this area!

This is a really nice little efficency cabin just right for 2 people and 2 small dogs. We felt right at home and really enjoyed our stay. Its close enough to make everything accessible and far enough to have a nice view and in a quiet area. Thanks Christie, we hope to stay with you again.

Omg, this may be one of the best stays I have ever had. I took a solo relaxing trip and Ms Joy eased my anxiety. She answered whatever question I had, no matter the time or day. Her home was so beautiful, relaxing, peaceful, and accommodating. She also supplied other necessities you may have needed, in case you left it at home. I cannot wait til I can return.

Exactly what we were looking for in every aspect. Everything was perfect. Our dog had a great time. Definitely coming back.

This lovely cottage was so amazing. We loved being there for the weekend and wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to return in the future. The kitchen had everything you need for a getaway. The linens were all comfy and great. It was so nice to be welcomed by their sweet dogs and we enjoyed visiting the chickens. It rained while we were there and loved hearing the rain on the metal roof. Claira, Andy and their children were so kind.

Definitely stay here if you get the chance. The home was very secluded from everything but nature. We enjoyed our stay at the house so much. We rented the house to take our children and grand children to the Polar Express, but honestly after the ride on Friday night we came back to the house and rested, and enjoyed each other’s company. Like I said it is cozy, spacious and has all of the amenities that you need. Also, the Alarka Creek runs behind the house and it was beautiful sounding. We didn’t venture down to the creek because it was just too cold. I would love to go back during the summer, take groceries and just forget about the “real world” for a while. In this serene and peaceful home it could be done.

Nice, clean, peaceful, private, relaxing, and as described, except for internet. I did log onto the house wifi. The wifi was not connected to the internet. I had less than one bar of cell service. There was a wired land line phone on the wall, which had no dial tone. There were many notes with help phone numbers, but no way to call. Because I was seeking a quiet retreat, I did not mind this.

Was a wonderful stay at the cabin. Hosts had the place perfectly set up for a visit, and we had a fantastic time, absolutely beautiful cabin and area. Only notes to future renters, be prepared for no cell service and potential wifi/power loss. First two days we were good but lost power one night due to Hurricane Helen. Didn't cause any big problems, we were perfectly comfortable and safe but check the weather before you go and if it looks a bit iffy make sure to get some non perishables when shopping. We had a fantastic time, thank you!

This cozy, beautiful spot is a treasure! Kim was very attentive to details in creating a space that is welcoming and feels like home. The kitchen was well equipped, decor blends modern and mountain cottage. Plenty to entertain at the house or nearby. The description helped us know how to best plan our visit to the area and there were great tips and maps at the house too. Beautiful scenery and a great place to enjoy birds, fall foliage, hiking and much more. So thankful for a great getaway!
