This is our second time staying here and it’s Absolutely beautiful and Pennie is the best. Walkable to everything in downtown Granbury with an awesome trail through the park. The room is always pristine and clean. And Pennie always has the best recommendations and Scones! We can’t wait to come back and stay every year. One of our favorite getaways.

We loved it all … the cozy A-frame bungalow, the peaceful outdoors, the wildlife (especially the sassy squirrels and the honking Canadian geese), the snacks, the filtered water, the decor, the labels throughout the house, the neighborhood, the canal, the hosts and their excellent communication, the country vibe yet close to the city … everything! We’ll be back!

This place was absolutely perfect! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal—close to lake, grocery stores and more. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, providing great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. We truly felt at home and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this listing to anyone visiting Granbury.

We had to find a place last minute to bring scammed on another site. Antonio and Rebecca were amazing and were able to get us in to this property without any problems, even though we had a group and pets. We will definitely keep this property saved and possibly use it again! Would definitely recommend this property!!

This is a beautiful Log cabin home, tastefully decorated in a western theme. All the upstairs is devoted to the Airbnb guests but they were totally fine for us to use the downstairs living areas & kitchen as well. Everything looked like the pictures we had seen & even better. They have a TV sitting area between the bedrooms upstairs that had a small refrigerator with yummy homemade goodies waiting inside…a Keurig for making coffee upstairs, and also tea available for non-coffee drinkers. The hosts are the sweetest people (very much enjoyed visiting with them), and they made the most wonderful breakfast with German pancakes, eggs & bacon! It was all excellent, & we can highly recommend to all who go visit the wonderful town of Granbury.

My husband and I spent one night in the Captains suite, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, the bed was comfy, and everything was spotless. The house is very conveniently located, and we were able to walk to and from the square. I would definitely stay here again.

The history of this stay added to the charm as the host provided details about her home. I loved having coffee on the screened in porch.

If I could rate the experience higher than 5 stars, I would! First of all, Helen, the host, was incredibly communicative, helpful, friendly, accommodating, and an overall superb host. She was very responsive via text, and even made sure we had all that we needed and were happy the following morning. The house was so cute. It was old and quirky, in a very good way! There were books everywhere, games, cozy, and the beds were super comfortable. We had everything that we needed to be comfortable- plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets, shower supplies, coffee, and even robes! And, all the things needed to start a fire to relax by in the evening. I was so pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail. The property is indescribable. It’s perfect if you have kids, but would even be great for an adult getaway. The animals were so cute and friendly, and it is obvious they are well taken care of. The river and proximate to downtown were amazing. We will be back! I highly recommend!

The Vintage Spartan was even more quiet & peaceful than expected. The trailers are secluded away on the back of the property. Each seperated by about 30 yards worth of serene woods. Ours was the next to the last. We enjoyed eating our meals outside on the picnic table and the boys spotted several deer. The back side of the property included a gorgeous little chapel and a handful of trails to explore. On our last evening we explored the front campground areas. The petting zoo was a hit with my 6 year old. There were several fire pits available, fully stocked with s’mores sticks & firewood. Tetherball. Horseshoes. We practiced our dummy roping & got to add our names to the barn doors guest list. Everything was picturesque and it was hard to believe we were right in the middle of town!
