I traveled with my wife, kids (3 & 7), parents and parents in-law. We travelled from Puerto Rico (80°F+ all year long) to Rebecca's house during the last week of December. We loved the house, bathrooms were very clean, as well as the entire house. It is a perfect place to relax and spend quality time with family. The frozen lake was beautiful as well as the surroundings. Location was very reasonable in terms of getting to cross the border to Canada and also to get to Burlington, Stowe and other beautiful places. Thank you Rebecca!

It had everything I needed and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Anne Marie even had a fire going in the fireplace for my arrival. Even though this spot would be ideal in the summer because it's right on the lake, I found it to be very beautiful and comfortable in the dead of winter. It was plenty warm, and easy to get in and out. I couldn't be happier with both the home and the host.

beautiful place right on the river! Lake Champlain and the ferry are a 5-10 minute drive, and you are able to bring your pup with!

This exceptional lake house provided the most welcoming space we could have asked for to celebrate our family and to spend time together. From heated floors on the cool nights to the beautiful piano to the awesome "grown-up-sized" Jenga, we filled our days with settling in together and simply enjoying! We are so grateful for Dina to sharing this wonderful home with us!!

This is a fantastic retreat! Ash and Ryan were very proactive and easy to message with. The house is decorated so beautifully. You can feel the thoughtfulness within every placement of every crystal and decoration. The sauna was superb! My favorite moment was looking out the back of the sauna (and the windows of the house) watching geese fly onto the lake and dive for fish.

Beautiful location, even in the snow storm. Sauna is fantastic, as was fire place. Huge laundry room was a plus. Great hiking within 10 min drive. Couple things to know. The doors to the bathroom and the one bedroom are folding pocket doors (like ones you might find on a closet) and are very acoustically transparent. They are right off of the main living space, so just a thing to be aware of if that is going to be a problem for your group. This is very much a lake house / winter cabin kind of space. It is not pristine. If you have young children, I might not feel comfortable bathing them in the tub, but it was certainly fine for tweens and adults to shower in. But if your expectations are set going in, you'll have a nice stay.

We stayed at Carrie’s place for end of the year. It was a great stay in a beautiful home. The house has all amenities and a perfect place for family vacation. Kitchen was well equipped and the hot tub was clean. The house was safe, great location. Carrie is a very responsible host and we truly enjoyed our stay and would 💯 plan to come back.

My family and I had an amazing time at Kayleigh’s place! The house was gorgeous, super cozy, and spotless. The game room was a total blast, and the views were breathtaking. Kayleigh is such a great host - friendly, helpful, and very attentive. We will be back in the summer!

Mariana was wonderful. She lent us slippers since it was cold outside. She left a lot of provisions for our use so we did not need to buy olive oil, etc. She left clear directions for check out and garbage disposal. The house was very clean and the views from her property were amazing. We had a wonderful time and saw some amazing fossils from the Chazy reef.

Exactly as described in advertisement with the exception of the view from the front balcony and living room -- it is BETTER than described and expected! This a repeat for the future.

My husband and I sold our home in the area and needed a place to stay for a month before we could get into our new home. Aimee was able to host us at the last minute when our plans suddenly changed. She even made an exception for our 2 cats . Her home is lovely with a beautiful view of Lake Champlain. The kitchen is updated and contained everything we could possibly need and more. The bed was very comfortable and the hot tub in the yard felt amazing at the end of the day!!

If you are looking to shut away the world for a few days and live in a beautiful cabin by the lake, this is the spot! We had a fantastic stay right in the lap of nature and had the most incredible view of the lake and a private dock overlooking it!

The house is absolutely beautiful in a beautiful location. It is just a short walk to the lake and the sunrises were amazing! I highly recommend this location. My family and I will gladly stay here again in the summer.

Whitney’s camp was exactly what we were looking for—cozy, peaceful, and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the lake view was stunning. While the water for the kitchen and shower comes from the lake and isn’t drinkable, Whitney provides plenty of bottled water for cooking and drinking. We truly enjoyed our stay!

This is a lovely place with perfect rustic lived-in Vermont vibes. Our trip was for my 35th birthday and the host left a sweet handwritten happy birthday note, bottle of champagne and a few signature Vermont snacks. I felt very well taken care of and would absolutely come back again in a heartbeat. By the way, the neighbors’ dog is a perfect angel and we were happy to share some of our scramble with him when he dropped by to say good morning.

We had a wonderful long weekend and the house was perfect. Clean and spacious while well appointed. We love the neighborhood and the proximity to the walking bridge. Beautiful sunrises from the deck. We will absolutely be back!

Charles was a very good host. The cleaning crew did not show up, but we were notified in advance and it was cleaned personally by his son. The vacuum didn’t work so the floors weren’t clean, but other than that it was a great stay! This location is so charming and is close enough to Burlington to go over for the day/night to explore!

Very nice house right on Lake Champlain! Spacious and clean, matching the listing exactly. Clear communication from the friendly hosts Joel and Caitlin. Excellent location in South Hero. Child and pet friendly (although we had neither). We look forward to staying there again.

Great getaway for my fsamily! Lots of space, big table in the dining room makes it easy to be all together, and beautiful surrounding! The ability to take a wuick drive to Burlington and Stowe then head back to our reatreat was a plus. I will hopefully be staying here again very soon!!

Stay was exactly as expected. Very quiet and peaceful setting. I spent time in that area as a young adult so, I knew what to expect. The only thing we’d say is at that price point, it needs some upgrades. Like a new gas stove and either a coffee press, Keurig, or an ADC. Other than that, the Stay is great!

Anne was the one who took care of us for the weekend, she was super nice and accommodating. Proactive and communicated. She walked us through the house at the beginning to make sure everything was good for our group. The place was massive! So many beds and cool rooms. Walkable to the downtown area or Placid, which was nice we didn’t have to try and get Ubers. Our group had a great time and if we’re back, we will certainly look into this house first.
