Great location in a neat little community. Overall, the house is homey feeling and has everything you need to make feel right at home.

A large group of freinds and I take a cabin trip every year and it can be hard to find a good space to accommodate us. "Cabin" does not do this place justice; it is a beautiful property with every possible amenity right on the Mississippi River, with plenty to do and everything necessary to enjoy a good time with good people.

Our family had a wonderful trip. The hosts were kind and accommodating, the house had everything we needed to stay in and relax, and the view was serenely beautiful. We loved that the deck was fully enclosed so that we could bring our young toddler out without worrying too much. It was a very comfortable, pleasant stay and we’d definitely stay again.

This place was perfect for getting a large group of friends together. There was a bed and dining room seating for everyone and we got plenty of use out of the firepit and even the water slide even though it was chilly. The location is great, right on the Mississippi and only an hour from Dubuque and Prairie Du Chen. Cassville, just a short jaunt down the road, has all the basics you could need and the state park nearby has awesome views from the bluffs. On top of all that Jennifer was a wonderful host. She was quick to respond, accommodating, and has bunches of recommendations for the area. Overall it was great stay.

We had a great stay, everything was as described. If we had any concerns, questions or problems I messaged Sara and within a couple minutes had a response. Beautiful well kept house with so much history and amazing woodwork! We all look forward to staying there again next year!

Spacious accommodations in a beautiful wooded area near the river. The third floor game and movie room was the perfect hangout with comfortable seating and beautiful views. First floor kitchen and eating area was plenty large to accommodate our whole family without being crowded. And the Christmas decor and holiday dishes were perfect for our family Christmas! The house was fully stocked with dishes, cookware, games, movies, bedding, towels, and plenty of parking. We will definitely be back!

Very comfortable and homey accommodations. Firepit is a huge enjoyment. Tiernie is amazing with communications. Highly recommend Tiernie and her get away.

We enjoyed our stay at William and Erva's place very much. A truly relaxing and peaceful getaway, with an amazing view of the Kickapoo Valley. We were looking to stay somewhere quiet with our little family of four after the busy holiday and we were not disappointed. From the fireplaces, the comfy beds, the views, and the amenities offered, we were able to relax, unplug, and just enjoy our time together. The pool and ping pong tables offered some fun entertainment, as well as some competitive games of Chess, and we appreciated the exercise equipment as well. Craig, the house manager, was very responsive and even accommodated us checking in early. We'd love to stay again in the Spring, Summer, or Fall when we could enjoy more time on the large deck taking in the view. Thank you for sharing this beautiful property with the thoughtful intentions of offering a truly relaxing and comfortable space to unwind and slow down.

This is our second time staying here, works out perfect for us to stay while visiting family, and its pet friendly so we can bring our dog, its right on the river, great views and we can walk practically everywhere. Has become our go-to when visiting.

Mandi’s place was ideal for a peaceful, quiet get away. We loved sitting on their deck watching the eagles, pelicans and barges go by. There were various places to hike nearby as much or as little as we wanted. We chose Effigy Mound National Monument one day and Pikes Peak State Park the other and both were well worth the time spent. We went to the pub - restaurant literally across the street for a lunch and sat on their deck enjoying the river scenes. The kitchen was equipped with anything we needed for meals at t home. The bed was comfy and we slept great! We reserved this gem again before leaving!

The picture does not do this room justice. Ann and Tom were so nice and such gracious hosts. And the room was wonderful. It had a great work area, a remote fireplace, and a very comfortable bed. And Ann and Tom have the sweetest dog! We felt at home right away, and they made by hubby's first stay in an AirBnB an excellent experience. We would definitely recommend these hosts and their lodgings to single travelers or a couple wanting a comfortable room and a great price!
