I've stayed at quite a few cabins the last ten years or so and this one was by far the most scenic. It's located atop a hill, feels very private. Love the little chicken and goat farm at the bottom. We saw a lot of deer passing through the property all day. Wild turkeys. We're birders from Ohio and got to appreciate the many different species from the front porch. You can see the mountain range from the kitchen table. Plenty of towels provided, full size fridge and freezer, large yard. Basketball court, and so forth. Two and a half bath, two full size beds and a bunk bed. Two couches. There's no lack of room. Had an issue with the hot tub but Patrick was quick to help me resolve it and was able to enjoy it on our trip. Looking forward to returning if it's available next time.

My wife and I needed a trip away from the city for the long holiday weekend where we could enjoy some good activity in peaceful surroundings with our dog. This cozy pedestal cabin in Black Bear Resort was just what we were looking for. Check in was easy by picking up the keys at the resort lodge. The place had everything we needed to a cook a couple nights for ourselves, including the gas grill on the deck. The wall-mounted 4K flatscreen TV with Roku let us relax after three active days out and about in Canaan Valley while we listened to the thunderstorms roll over the mountains each evening. This would certainly be a fine place for folks (especially with kids -- there were two sets of bunk beds in the loft) to use a base for their WV adventures any time of year!

This rental was absolutely great! The host was super sweet and extremely flexible with checking in and out, which meet our needs! Lots to do for our kids, beautiful scenery, and very well kept. Highly recommend and would like to come back again!

Place was rally nice and literally directly next to the lift which was awesome. Also the hot tub was great, super spacious and perfect after a long day on slopes. Overall had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed at the cabin for my fiancé’s birthday weekend and had a great time! Not only was Sarah incredibly responsive and kind, but the house was exactly what we were looking for! Relaxing, comfortable, and lots of great hiking spots nearby. We’re already discussing future stays here!

Fantastic stay - the house was incredible, great location, and right by Timberline mountain. The amenities were great, and we enjoyed using the hot-tub which was clean and warm. There were many nice additional touches, such as the toiletries including toothbrushes, soaps, etc., and games. The cabin was spacious and had great heating. Darien, the host, was very flexible and responsive. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing, peaceful getaway!

We loved our stay at Wildest Dreams. Melissa and Jim were so helpful and responsive. The house was very well appointed. We felt right at home, and had everything we needed to prepare three meals each day for our party of eight. Plenty of beds and space to spread out. Location is great—just a few minutes drive from Timberline Mountain. We would definitely stay again!

This cabin was a great choice for accommodating a large group of people. The cabin is huge and there was space for 16 people where we didn’t feel we were on top of each other. We also had plenty of parking. The cabin is older and with older cabins comes lack of insulation so you can hear everything through the walls, floors, and ceilings. Beware of nails and hooks in the walls that may catch you off guard. The cabin was very well stocked in every single room and in every way possible. If you aren’t use to the mountains, the driveway can be a little concerning but just go slow and you’ll be fine. The larger dining room table was nice to sit down together and enjoy meals. The huge table outside was also a nice addition where we could all sit and enjoy the evening. The view is gorgeous and it was extremely peaceful. The host was very friendly and very responsive to any questions. Thank you to the host for sharing this property! My group would definitely book this property again!

Friends and family members rented several cabins at Black Bear for a wonderful weekend! Joan’s description warns that AWD is needed at this time of year—and it is. 🤪. Maintenance at Black Bear was extremely responsive when one of our group had difficulty getting out of the resort due to snow/ice. Nice to have the covered back porch to take off snowy wet clothes/boots.

We loved staying at this cabin! The hosts were super responsive and super friendly. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed walking around in the snow. The cabin was super cozy and clean, we loved the wall decorations and art. The kitchen was great and had nearly everything we needed. There is no regular oven but the large toaster oven worked perfectly for a small tart. Would definitely stay here again!

We had such a wonderful stay in Davis, WV and at Efi's place! There's a stream adjacent to the property that was so peaceful with deer at it all times of the day. Cabin is great- has everything you need! Close to shopping and dining which is great as well!! Can't wait to return.

What a perfect mountain getaway! Quiet, peaceful, and a good place to relax! After days of hiking in the Dolly Sods, we enjoyed the hammock and fire pit after! Definitely worth visiting again!

My daughter and I had a great time staying at Cameron’s place. We were lucky to get there just before a significant snow fall and found the place to be a great place to enjoy the snow and nearby winter activities. Fire place was all ready with kindling and dry wood for fires after a day in the snow.. the house was easy to find, well equipped, clean and comfortable .. Cameron left great instructions and checked in by airbnb / text message to make sure we didn’t have any concerns .. location was very close to white grass, Canaan Valley ski as well as the restaurants and shops in Davis and black water falls.. thank you !

An excellent stay. Clean, spacious for two families, and close to lots of things in Davis and Thomas. Would highly recommend.

What an amazing cabin! Charming, cozy and clean, with everything you could want in a cabin rental. A well- stocked kitchen, fireplace, Roku TV, coffee, cocoa and tea bar, and the spa room! Kimberly responded immediately every time I contacted her, and I absolutely loved that she left clear, easy to follow instructions, and also lots of recommendations for nearby food and activities. We are already planning our next trip to Davis and hope to be able to stay at Kim and Jay's cozy cabin.

We loved the remote beauty. the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. An overall great experience!

We enjoyed a quiet and snowy three night stay in Dry Fork. The community is very quiet in the winters and the seclusion made for a nice retreat. We spent time hiking Red Creek and visiting nearby Davis WV. Our primary purpose was being close to Dolly Sods. Rich is a top notch communicator and the cabin was well equipped with everything for a comfortable stay. Everything was in great condition, clean, and well taken care of. The kitchen is large with a full-size dining table, full fridge and lots of counter space. We cooked all three nights and found everything we needed. We were also grateful for the dog run in the backyard. I have several groups of friends who spend days and weeks in the area at a time and I will be recommending this cabin to them for sure.

The place is small but cozy, with two separate sleeping areas, making it ideal for a comfortable stay. We visited during some very cold days, and it stayed warm and inviting throughout our visit.

We had a great family ski vacation. The house was a perfect layout for three couples and one child. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well equipped. We were pleased with the cleanliness when we arrived. We would definitely rent this house if we decide to vacation in Davis again.

Pansy was so friendly and her property is amazing! This is just the stay my friend and I were looking for - picturesque, quiet, remote, and off grid. I truly felt unplugged! The wind was wild and we watched some snow fall but we stayed toasty inside the cabin! As someone that drives back roads often, the road up to the cabin was fine in my AWD SUV. I would highly recommend this AirBNB! I will be booking again in the future! Thanks for sharing your beautiful property Pansy!
