Emily and Jon-Michael were great hosts. They provided great guidance on what to expect and answered our questions promptly, both before the trip and while we were there. They also were quick to address minor things that cropped up. The house itself was perfect for our Thankgiving trip, offering a clean, well-stocked kitchen; a big dining room table; lots of places to curl up and relax; and comfy places to sleep. The kids also loved the hot tub! We'd gladly go back.

This place is great! Very friendly hosts and peaceful location. I came up with a couple of buddies to try snowboarding and it was a great feeling walking into this cozy home after rolling around in the snow all day. The kitchen has just about anything you’d need to cook as far as pots and pans and utensils as well as some common cooking items like flour and sugar. There is a guitar, it only had 3 strings when we got there but we strang it up and it’s good to go for whoever’s next. Overall I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back when we’re in the area!

We had a great stay at Forrest’s place. The house was as pictured, clean and free of clutter. We loved the view of the lake, which also had a short walkable trail around it. The house felt very private, although other homes were nearby. It was a short drive to Thomas/Davis downtown as well as hikes in Dolly sods. We would come back!!

Nice house in a great location. Close to downtown Davis and activities at Canaan resort. Kid friendly space upstairs. The kitchen has the necessities for cooking and is open to the living room. The host is responsive and was easy to communicate with.

We loved our stay at Charlotte’s Web! It sits right beside the Canaan Valley Nat’l Refuge and is within a 5 min drive to Timberline Mountain. We also enjoyed hikes at Blackwater Falls, dinner and coffee in Davis, and had plenty of places to grab items we needed for meals. We felt cozy in the space, and so did our dog Roxie! The hot tub was an added treat. We hope to stay again in the not so distant future!

Alison and this listing were an absolute life saver when we were in Canaan Valley. We had rented another home through a different host only to arrive to a place with frozen pipes. We were told to find another home. By some miracle this place was available starting the following day. I reached out to Alison and she immediately responded. Even though she had someone else checking out the same day she went above and beyond to get the house turned around and ready for us with minimal notice. What could have been a disaster was immediately salvaged. Alison was so incredibly kind and responsive. The home was perfect for our large group of extended family and we were finally able to completely relax and enjoy a wonderful long weekend together.

Perfect location after a stop at Canaan Valley Park. We loved relaxing by the river in the comfortable chairs. Alison's place was clean and well-stocked. We appreciated the notebook of information and chose to eat at Hellbender Burritos, an easy walk. In addition to recommending Alison's place, we also recommend Hellbender Burritos! Thanks, Alison!

Our stay at Dave and Linna's was wonderful and would go back in a heartbeat. The location is so close to the slopes. They truly have put a special touch into the place as well. The kitchen has everything you need, the bathroom is lovely, and it's very clean. Beautiful touches throughout and thoughtful accessories just in case you might forget a toiletry item or something. Can't wait to make another visit to Timberline and stay here.

Very cozy place with a beautiful view of Black Water River. Walking distance to meander around town. Comfy Bed. Plenty of towels and amenities in the bathroom. Cooked while visiting and easy to keep everything clean. Alison checked in on me while visiting which was much appreciated. They have a booklet providing info on dining and activities. Clear instruction on WiFi as well. Loved the stay and would return anytime in the area.

I really enjoyed Alison’s Airbnb! Everything was nice and clean and it had all the amenities you could possibly want. It’s walking distance to several restaurants in Davis and is a short drive to Thomas which is another nice quaint town. I stayed during mud season so there wasn’t as many restaurants and shops that were open or they closed early but it was still nice. I definitely want to return in the summer and fall!

One of the nicest Airbnb‘s we have ever stayed at. Exceptionally clean and neat. Very short walk to town. Would highly recommend the craft brewery in town, the staff was amazing. Sitting on the balcony, enjoying coffee in the morning and listening to the river was so peaceful, really needed that. Would highly recommend. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars I would give it a 6.

This is a perfect stay for a couple looking to explore the Canaan Valley. Minutes away from the ski locations. Quiet and peaceful. Everything from the hot tub, bed, couches, and shower is designed for comfort and relaxation. The heated floors in the bathroom are extra nice in the wintertime as are the heated mats that run from the back door to the hot tub. The gas fireplace is easy to use, and the kitchen is huge with everything necessary to make meals. The arcade games were an extra bonus. We would definitely stay at this location next time we visit.

The place was perfect for a 3 day weekend with the kids and grandparents to explore everything Canaan Valley has to offer. The creek out back was peaceful and the kids enjoyed exploring the area as well as the hot tub. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and grocery store close by for the things we did need. Rita was responsive and very helpful with any and all questions. Highly recommend.

Very nice place. Peaceful and relaxing. Just what we were looking for on a weekend getaway trip to do trout fishing and enjoying the scenic views of nature and the bright stars at night. House was fully furnished with all supplies in the kitchen, bath and bedding. Grilling out on the pellet stove and setting out by the fire at night was enjoyable. We will stay again sometime on our adventures.

This was a wonderful little cabin in the woods. Definitely need a 4WD/AWD car for the snowy months. Overall wonderful experience with our dogs!

Pansy was so friendly and her property is amazing! This is just the stay my friend and I were looking for - picturesque, quiet, remote, and off grid. I truly felt unplugged! The wind was wild and we watched some snow fall but we stayed toasty inside the cabin! As someone that drives back roads often, the road up to the cabin was fine in my AWD SUV. I would highly recommend this AirBNB! I will be booking again in the future! Thanks for sharing your beautiful property Pansy!

What a perfect mountain getaway! Quiet, peaceful, and a good place to relax! After days of hiking in the Dolly Sods, we enjoyed the hammock and fire pit after! Definitely worth visiting again!

Had a last minute issue due to the cold weather and Cameron went out of his way to take care of us. Very happy with the stay.
