Emily and Jon-Michael were great hosts. They provided great guidance on what to expect and answered our questions promptly, both before the trip and while we were there. They also were quick to address minor things that cropped up. The house itself was perfect for our Thankgiving trip, offering a clean, well-stocked kitchen; a big dining room table; lots of places to curl up and relax; and comfy places to sleep. The kids also loved the hot tub! We'd gladly go back.

Mary's home was a perfect "slice of WVa heaven" for our family's quick weekend getaway. Her home was very clean and well stocked. The location was perfect, just 8 minutes from the town of Davis (with grocery store restaurants, and shops) and ~25 minutes from Dolly Sods Wilderness trail we hiked. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed a very cozy stay here in Davis for some skiing. Cameron’s condo was well appointed and in a wonderful location. We appreciated the area recommendations and would absolutely stay here again.

We had a great stay at Forrest’s place. The house was as pictured, clean and free of clutter. We loved the view of the lake, which also had a short walkable trail around it. The house felt very private, although other homes were nearby. It was a short drive to Thomas/Davis downtown as well as hikes in Dolly sods. We would come back!!

Kim’s house is extremely cozy and very well located. It is close to canaan valley resort so it was very convenient for our stay because we were on a ski trip. The house is fully equipped to make the stay really easy and comfortable. I would definetely come back again to kims house. Everything inside the house match oir expectations and we had lots of fun! The bedrooms were really comfortable for s good night rest! 5 stars to kim and her house

We loved our stay at Charlotte’s Web! It sits right beside the Canaan Valley Nat’l Refuge and is within a 5 min drive to Timberline Mountain. We also enjoyed hikes at Blackwater Falls, dinner and coffee in Davis, and had plenty of places to grab items we needed for meals. We felt cozy in the space, and so did our dog Roxie! The hot tub was an added treat. We hope to stay again in the not so distant future!

Patrick was great. Great space and well-appointed. Perfect for our family ski weekend.

The Crooked House is very unique and fun! We enjoyed a both fun and quiet weekend in Davis, and this house added to the charm of the visit!

Friends and family members rented several cabins at Black Bear for a wonderful weekend! Joan’s description warns that AWD is needed at this time of year—and it is. 🤪. Maintenance at Black Bear was extremely responsive when one of our group had difficulty getting out of the resort due to snow/ice. Nice to have the covered back porch to take off snowy wet clothes/boots.

This was our seventh time staying at the black bear resort, and our first at Kimberly’s cabin. This is the first cabin we have stayed in that has two full bathrooms which is so nice with multiple people staying there. It is obvious, as soon as you walk in the door how much thought and effort Kimberly and jay have put into making this cabin a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience for their guests. The furnishings and beds were very comfortable, and we loved the coffee/hot cocoa bar! They provided great information about things to do in the area, including a list of restaurants. It is beautifully decorated with all the amenities needed for our long weekend. Would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to coming again!

Great location. We were in town to hit the last weekend of the ski resorts being open and we were not disappointed!!!! The location was perfect for skiing and everything else to do in the area. The only issue we had was it was a little difficult to find the exact house in the dark. The fact that we could bring our dog was so wonderful. The neighbor is so open and has lots of places to walk the pup. We will be back!

My wife and I needed a trip away from the city for the long holiday weekend where we could enjoy some good activity in peaceful surroundings with our dog. This cozy pedestal cabin in Black Bear Resort was just what we were looking for. Check in was easy by picking up the keys at the resort lodge. The place had everything we needed to a cook a couple nights for ourselves, including the gas grill on the deck. The wall-mounted 4K flatscreen TV with Roku let us relax after three active days out and about in Canaan Valley while we listened to the thunderstorms roll over the mountains each evening. This would certainly be a fine place for folks (especially with kids -- there were two sets of bunk beds in the loft) to use a base for their WV adventures any time of year!

Great place super close to Timberline, Canaan Valley and Whitegrass. Home is clean and comfortable, with a well appointed kitchen and lots of games and entertainment for bad weather.

It’s a nice cosy place with a great view from the deck. You would love the place. It appears to be quite secured as it is inside a resort. Perfect for couple of days for 3 of us. I agree with a rating of 4.8 Location wise also quite ok as it is between Davis and cannon Valley so you can go both ways easily. Restaurants are in Davis 10 minutes away. We always try new places and this is the perfect place to stay in Davis.

Brittany's AirBnB was a great spot for a weekend ski trip to White Grass! The place was spacious and the location couldn't be beat. Check-in/check-out were easy (once we went to the right building--in the dark we mistook a breakfast spot for the office). It would've been nice to have some shampoo and conditioner provided for guests so that we didn't have to bring our own. Otherwise, it was a quiet and cozy space, and we appreciated the wide kitchen/dining area for playing board games and making breakfast!

We really enjoyed staying at this Air BnB, especially since we were permitted to have a dog there. We enjoyed how close it is to Canaan Valley Ski Resort, Blackwater Falls State Park and Davis, WV. The beds were comfortable and accommodations were as expected.

Where to even start? This cabin was the absolute best. We went with a total of 8 adults and 6 children under the age of 5. The cabin was so much more spacious than the photos make it appear, which was a very pleasant surprise. The finished basement is huge and was a great space for the kids. The kitchen was very well equipped and spacious for us to cook meals and snacks. The beds were comfortable and the walls are thick and you can’t hear a lot of outside noise. The location is great - about 10 minutes to Davis and 15 to Thomas and plenty of hiking and other activities. Our Apple Maps didn’t route us to the right place, but G00gle Maps did, just as an FYI. Seriously can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back.

My weekend stay at the lake side house was absolutely amazing! The location was perfect, just a short walk to the lake access with a dock. We spent our days fishing and managed to catch over 20 fish - it was such a fun and relaxing experience. The house itself was cozy and well-equipped, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely love to visit again sometime in the future. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Great home and location on the mountain. Just a short walk to the mid mountain chairlift. Ski in ski out is so convenient. Great view of sunsets from the large windows in the back of the home. Super cozy on the sectional sofa in front of the wood stove.

Was an amazing place to stay at, even though there isn’t really service or wifi. The place is stocked full of board games and movies. The area is beautiful!

The Sunbird Studio apartment was great. It's tucked away in a quiet area and is well-designed inside. The pellet stove is a nice, cozy touch on a chilly evening. The location is a short drive to the Timberline and Canaan Valley State Park ski resorts--I stayed at the apartment so I could enjoy Timberline's final ski/snowboarding weekend of the season. It's equally close to Davis where you can get groceries or eat at the restaurants there. The photos of the place are very accurate. The owners' communication was fantastic, and they were very responsive. They proactively sent detailed instructions, which included great directions to the place, easy check-in information, and detailed information about the placement of the apartment's amenities. I appreciated the owners' hospitality and would definitely stay here again.

This is our third time renting thus house. We love coming back and sharing it with new friends. Alison and her team are great hosts and always make sure we have everything we need - even in the middle of the snowstorm. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful winter stay! The house was inviting and cozy, and as other guests have mentioned well appointed with comfortable beds.

Excellent, clean spot a few blocks from downtown Davis. Will definitely be staying again. Cameron communicated quickly and easily. Highly recommend.
