Great Barrier Island : locations de vacances avec cheminée

We had a great time with 3 couples. Lots of room and a bathroom each. The weather was a bit dicey on the day we were supposed to check in, it was no trouble to arrive a day early to beat the rough seas. This home is best accessed with a boat (although you can walk to it at half to low tide) and has a great jetty and additional mooring. Good proximity to Port Fitzroy with food and fuel available, although 91 was $4/ litre. Thanks for letting us stay Rod, you have a beautiful spot in paradise!!

A beautiful spot on a beautiful island. Although I explored the island and did a bunch of activities, I also just sat around for hours to enjoy the view and watch the stars. Hilde is a wonderful host and gave me many recommendations, and saved me by lending me a cap for my hikes in the sun.

We highly recommend staying here. Next time I will stay much, much longer. Roomy, yet private bedroom areas. This ticks all the boxes and a five star experience.

Mike is a fabulous host. The accommodation was perfect with no issues at all. Took our booking on the last minute and got the place ready in no minute. Can highly recommend this spot!!

The house is very comfortable and has everything you need for a beach holiday. We loved the location because of its proximity to the beach and Claris. We would definitely recommend this house although we did think it was a little expensive. Loretta was very easy to deal with.

We absolutely loved this beautiful historic home and immediately felt relaxed and comfortable. The staff were extremely discreet but available if sought out. We were impressed with the access to chickens and consequent fresh eggs, and small vegetable garden. On arrival the home had every set of French doors thrown open. It was airy inviting and thoroughly enjoyed throughout our stay. The Fitzroy Port area is a little remote from the busier Southern part of the Island but with a rental vehicle this was not a problem,. and there are a number of walks available within the area to not require a vehicle should one use not to hire one. Food is expensive on Great Barrier and it is recommended to stock up and take supplies in a chilli bin with you. There is a store on the Fitzroy wharf which is well stocked however, should you run out of your supplies. The property also has a jetty of its own and can be booked and used to moor your boat should you arrive by sea.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Alles was wir brauchten war vorhanden. Ball war immer für uns erreichbar. Bei kurzen technischen Problemen war sofort jemand da, um die zu beheben. Besonders gefreut habe ich mich über die guten Matratzen im Bett. Das war himmlisch. Ich würde diese Unterkunft immer wieder buchen.
