We absolutely LOVED staying at Ben & Courtenay’s place. The location is breathtaking and close to so many things. We ended up getting in much later than we expected (flight delays), and they accommodated. The house has everything you need and then some! Definitely pick up food before heading there, the local store can be hit or miss and little pricey.

The house was perfect for our family of eleven. Morning walks to the beach, swimming in the pool, and the sounds of the tropical birds were very enjoyable for someone from Texas. A visit to Korunda Village, Baron Falls, Four Mile Beach, and snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef were easily accessible and enjoyed by all. I would recommend this beautiful home to anybody for a wonderful holiday!

Excellent location, beautiful house , modern interior with all the rainforest charm . Gardens are absolutely stunning , so relaxing this was a great find for a family of 6 people in Cape Tribulation. Great communication with host.

We had a beautiful two days at Mary’s place. It’s an absolutely stunning location, so peaceful and serene. Mary has thought of everything to make sure your stay is relaxing and wonderful. The outdoor kitchen is excellent, and we loved the outdoor living - we spent almost all our time out there on the deck snuggled on the couch or sitting on the grass! We fed the horses and chickens, enjoyed the view, and the lovely food provided by Mary when we arrived, and the peace and quiet. Mary and Lili are wonderful hosts, very kind and friendly, but also mindful of guest privacy. We were lucky enough to have cuddles with Diesel and Molly the dogs! There’s excellent walking trails and parks around the area, and the evenings are stunning looking at the mountains and listening to the animals. The beds are super comfy and the shower is excellent. It was just what we needed to unwind and relax before heading home. We will definitely be back to Mary’s place next time we come to Cairns!

Hibiscus Cottage was a great base for our stay in the Cape Tribulation region, north of the Daintree River. The property is very peaceful and private with beautiful trees and gardens around the house and tropical rainforest all around. Lots of bird song. The cottage is very comfortable and has all the amenities you need. The tropical fruit breakfast provided at Epiphyte B&B was enjoyable and a great way to connect with some fellow travellers each morning. The cottage is in a great location - close to Cow Bay, good restaurants nearby for dinner and a spectacular drive up to Cape Tribulation. Matt was very informative and provided us with great ideas to enjoy our time in the region including forest walks, beach walks, creeks, tours and local restaurants and cafes. Altogether, a great stay in a beautiful and unique region of Australia.

Beau was great, she met us when we arrived and very helpful in showing us around the property and amenities. The kids really enjoyed themselves fishing/swimming/kayaking, they only caught a couple of catfish that went back but they had fun, didn't catch any Yabbies though, it was good to see them off their devices and having fun in the old fashion way.

We had a truly wonderful experience! Anita was an excellent host who accommodated our group at very short notice when our other accommodation fell through the day before. The house was just stunning! There were gorgeous views from every window, and the kitchen and living rooms very well appointed. We loved the fireplace in particular. Bedrooms were lush with gorgeous linen. Anita was very flexible, offering us early check-in and late check-out. If you are looking for a secluded getaway in a beautiful home within a stunning natural environment, then you should book here!

Loved the setting this property was in, very peaceful and remote. Nice to have interaction with the farm animals and enjoyed the use of the table tennis table! Our dog loved the freedom and outdoor space. If you want to get back to nature I would recommend this property.

This place was like being a million miles away. It was so peaceful & quiet. It was lovely & cool - such a nice break away from the heat in Cairns. Loved hearing the birds of a morning & seeing the kangaroos just grazing. The barn had everything we needed which was perfect. Helen’s homemade marmalade was amazing. lt’s great to stay somewhere we can take our dog also - he loved it! Can’t wait to come back to this bit of paradise again one day. In 5 words - YOU MUST BOOK THIS PLACE! Raeleen and Peter were very friendly and more than happy to help us with recommendations in Longreach, as well as showing us around their place, sharing the history of the property and introducing us to their goats. The accommodation was as described and very comfortable. The sunrise/sunset and peaceful surroundings are magical- truly an incredible experience all round. The accomodation had all we needed for a peaceful, relaxing holiday, with both WIFI and aircon working well. Bed was extremely comfortable. The drive into Longreach took about 45 mins and a 4WD to navigate the driveway would be preferable - however Raelene did offer to pick us up in her buggy if we needed a hand. Peter, the co-host, was also very friendly and we loved hearing about his charity work with Outback Futures. We can't wait to come back! To any future guests, this property is a 'must-do'. Raelene and Peter went above and beyond and truly made us feel special!

My friends and I look for somewhere just to spend a few days together every year. Carol's place was fabulous. Quiet, beautiful surrounds with a pool and a spa to enjoy the time we were there. The drive to Airlie is just a short one. The cupboards were well stocked with all those little things you don't normally carry with you. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing getaway. If you're looking for places to visit while visiting, there are many options from beaches and off coast island to little towns, all within easy reach. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be lining up for another visit.

Beautiful self contained unit in a quiet area.

Location was magic! The boat ramp was just at the bottom of the hill right in front, so perfect for launching the ski boat. Fantastic new kitchen and very functional and easy to use appliances. Not stocked with the essentials so we did have to buy everything required for large cook ups. Our 11 guests stayed in comfort and was perfect for large families. Great outdoor area with a massive table and chairs for large family meals. Also lounge had plenty of room for people to relax inside. Heaps of room for cars and boats with easy access. Enjoyed our break to Tinaroo 🚤👌🏼

Great place to stay with a short walk to the Palm Cove central area with resturants and cafes. Pool was quiet and friendly people around. Bed was super comfortable and everything was clean. Air con worked well in the heat.

Such a special find if you’re looking for the simplicity or camping, peace and beauty of the rainforest. Yurts were well equipped and the meals available were delicious! Beautiful pristine area to explore and daily suggestions were super helpful! My husband and son did the night walk offered and loved learning more about the wildlife. Waking up to Cassowary’s roaming is next level and hope to return one day ~

Eve’s place was the perfect space to enjoy the tranquility of Lake Tinaroo we only wish we could’ve stayed longer! The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfy and the views were out of this world. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, thanks for sharing your beautiful space with us!

Superbe logement au calme, au milieu de nulle part. Tout ce qu’il faut pour vivre dans le studio, bien aménagé et de qualité. Toilette, salle de bain séparés. Une super piscine et coin bar pour prendre du bon temps. Le plus du séjour : Dave et Leanne sont un couple très très gentils, accueillants et bienveillants. Une belle rencontre ! Ils nous ont même emmené avec eux pour voir un rodéo lors de l’Australia Day. Séjour inoubliable. Et nous reviendrons avec le plus grand plaisir

Absolutely perfect. Based on the reviews here we couldn’t wait for our stay, and even then it exceeded expectations. The bed is incredibly comfortable, the little cottage is well stocked for cooking and the little laundry was a bonus. We fell asleep on the verandah more than once watching the rain or listening to the birds. The pool was refreshing. As others have said, the only negative was that we didn’t stay longer. Absolutely wonderful place. Thank you Debbie and Sam for having us. We really hope to be back some day.
