Beautiful spot in the Mangroves. Great communication to get us in and make sure we are having a good time. Staff were very helpful. Super clean bedrooms.

Dieses Cottage war die schönste Unterkunft unseres 5 wöchigen Keniaurlaubes. Und in seiner Gesamtheit auch die schönste, die ich jemals auf meinen Reisen bewohnen durfte. Die gesamte Anlage ist weitläufig und sehr geschmackvoll begrünt. Das ergibt ein angenehmes Klima, auch wenn es in Watamu meistens sehr heiß ist. Und es gibt viele gemütliche Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten. Das Personal ist super. Insgesamt ist es noch schöner als auf den Bildern, weil der Flair einfach passt. Leider haben wir aufgrund einer Doppelbuchung eine andere Unterkunft erhalten und diese war direkt neben den Parkplätzen. Einige Tuktuk Fahrer lassen gerne auch mal länger als nötig den Motor laufen - und so kam es zu gelegentlicher Geruchs- und Lärmbelästigung. Insgesamt ist das jedoch zu vernachlässigen und wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder dort einchecken. Auch die ansässige Tauchschule ist sehr zu empfehlen - kompetent und freundlich und die Unterwasserwelt fantastisch. Asante Sana

Alles was dik in orde.Carola was altijd bereikbaar Mado was er tijdens ons verblijf en reageerde meteen als we iets vroegen .Zelfs de laatste nacht voor ons vertrek was hij er om te wachten op de taxi wat we echt appreciëren. Salum zorgde toen ik ziek werd dat er dadelijk een dokter kwam.En wat een service .De dokter heeft voor alles gezorgd zelfs naar onze verzekering gebeld om alles te regelen.Waarvoor hartelijk dank. Enkel het uitvallen van de elektriciteit viel wat tegen .Maar ja dat is Zanzibar.En het wegje naar zee is ook Afrika. Al bij al was het voor ons een heel fijn verblijf.Bedankt

A very quiet place, out of the noisy neighbors of Nairobi, immersed in nature, highly secure, safe to walk ... Great experience!

I stayed at Jürgen's AirBnB for two and a half months, and I really enjoyed my time there! Jürgen is a very friendly and helpful host, the place is located in a calm and secure neighborhood, and is very well equipped for both short- and long-term stays. I will be back for sure!

Such a beautiful and cheerful place. Local workers does the day to day work. They are happy to make a conversation and teach you swahili words. I spent a whole week and enjoyed every day. Takes a little time learning how to best use the daladala transport but this is a great way to meet locals and practice swahili.

Carolynes place was exceptional. It was picturesque , clean and had all amenities as described and more. The views of lake Elementaita are unbelievable. Pictures on airbnb don’t even capture how beautiful it is. I would definitely book again. I didn’t want to leave.

My partner and I have been coming to Uganda for long stays over the last few years, and this was most wonderful and authentic Airbnb experience so far. JPs stylish cabin is nestled inside a community that feels very peaceful, surrounded by nature and with a wonderful view of the Rwenzori mountains. yet you can get to the city of Fort Portal in a 15-20 minute boda or car ride. Meeting JP was also one of the highlights of this stay. He is very warm, friendly and great to chat to. He is very responsive and quickly available. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and pleasant. When we informed JP we would be working remotely in the cabin during our 2 week stay he quickly installed a WiFi router and upgraded the solar electricity installation to accommodate us. Highly recommend booking this place during your visit to Fort Portal for a truly pleasant and unique stay!

Schöner, moderner und geräumiger Bungalow inmitten des Waldes, ein wenig abseits der asphaltierten Straße, man muss unbedingt den Besitzer telefonisch kontaktieren und sich den Weg erklären lassen, denn es gibt kein Schild. Dennoch blieben wir am Ende eine weitere Nacht, weil wir uns so wohl fühlten und man wunderbare Wanderungen vom Haus aus machen kann. Die Landschaft ist sehr schön, hügelig mit Tabakfeldern und Obstplantagen, nebenan wohnen Bauern. Das Haus ist ideal für Selbstversorger: der hilfsbereite Hausmeister kaufte gegen eine lächerliche Gebühr für uns ein und bot an für uns zu kochen. Es gibt auch Mountainbikes.

My stay was relaxing, peaceful with a lovely scenery. It was quiet especially for my me time.. The space is quaint and fited perfectly for me. I will certainly come back.. Thankyou for the wonderful hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay, the cottage was exactly what we needed as a small family. Kitchen had all the necessities and Paulene was super helpful and friendly. Definitely our go-to for future trips to Nairobi.

My friends and I had an amazing stay at Olsotowa House! The property is incredible with plenty of room for 10 guests, a great pool to relax in, fun activities to do (ping pong, foosball, archery, spa day, movie nights), and a wonderful view of the sunset from Ngong Hills. The hosts were very helpful and responsive, the property staff (Dorris, Julius, etc.) were great, and the chef (Martin) prepared delicious meals and snacks for all dietary preferences. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to going back!

Cosy Tiny Living is exactly that, a repurposed container that holds everything you need in a small space, including a reliable Wi-fi connection for those who need to work from home. Catherine and Jay are super responsive, friendly and accommodating hosts who don't hesitate to make an already homely experience even cosier. The friendly neighborhood is lined with local shops and restaurants providing your daily needs. For those looking for more "westernised" goods, Mountain View mall is at a walking distance and you are a short Uber ride away from Westgate Mall. I loved my stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place that feels like home in Nairobi.

Bella’s place was so peaceful and serene. A great place to rest after the bustle of the city. I even spotted a monkey and sniffed a Plumeria tree. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Very quaint A-frame in the middle of a corn field with its own grassy garden, with beautiful views of Kilimanjaro! Very nice gas hob and kitchen sink with adequate crockery. No fridge. Good solar power. Clean outdoor bathroom with western toilet and cold water tap with basin and cup for showers (ie. boil some water to make a nice warm basin shower). Lee was super helpful, got us connected to a ranger at one of the conservancies near Amboseli, and we had a great time game driving just outside the park. They are continuing to upgrade the site and I'm sure it will continue to get better and better.

I was needed of a quiet-get away from NBO, when I get to this retreat, I couldn’t ask for more. Jacqueline, the host has been responsive and attentive to your questions and needs. She also has her full team including Arnold, and the caretaker on ground, Simon who will make sure you’re taken care of. The cabin is so cute, lovely, clean and environmental friendly. Not only you will reconnect to the beautiful nature but you will reconnect with your soul through the cold fresh-clean air, the sounds of nature and warm charcoals provided. The morning coffee is my favorite moment, so does a small walk to the stream just by the house. If you like outdoor & camping you’ll know what to prepare. Not about sleeping in a tent (as beds are provided & hot-shower) but more of the self-catering preparation and personal warm-clothes. If you are short on things, there’s Jamaa supermarket 15 mins drive-away to Ol Kalou town. So, take off your shoes, enjoy & feel the green yard! It’s one beautiful one.

Ol Losowan proved to be a very peaceful place to spend our final few days in Kenya before flying back to the U. K. Within walking distance of the Giraffe Centre, we took in that experience and then cooled off in the beautiful saline pool and read beneath the trees and umbrellas. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds made for restful nights, and we made the most of the kitchen and bbq facilities to prepare most of our meals on site to the sound of the tree hyraxes and bush babies. Thank you for hosting us Julie and your team. Our only disappointment was that we never got to meet you in person!
