This is an amazing property ! Be prepared if you want to capture northern lights, because Reikiavik area gets cloudy most of the time and other areas do not as there is more wind. As for the cabin everything worked as published even the jacuzzi. The cabin was warm and welcoming. There were even two espresso capsules that even the nicest resorts forget to put them on. If you want to have relaxing nights in the suburbs consider this place for sure

Wir, meine Mom und ich, haben fünf Nächte in dieser Unterkunft verbracht. Wir haben uns gleich super wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft war genau wie auf den Bildern, super bequme betten, tolle Dusche, die Lage ist super ruhig und wir konnten an fast allen Abenden Polarlichter sehen :) Am schönsten war es einfach gemütlich auf den Sofas zu liegen und die unglaublich schöne Aussicht zu genießen! Von der Unterkunft haben wir entspannt die Insel Snearfellsness und noch einige weitere Orte erkundet. Wir hatten wirklich eine tolle Zeit :)

Set outside the township, this tranquil sryting is perfect for some R&R. Seclusion and privacy are in big supply. The home is just as the photos show. All the amenities you need for your stay. It's easy to just unwind and forget all the stress in your life here. This is ideal for low key actions, but still close enough to big adventure and local shopping.

It was my 3rd visit in this cabin and I certainly hope it wasn't the last. As always everything was great - the cabin was spotless, the check-in couldn't be smoother, all the utilities were there and, most importanly, the hot tub was ready to use :) Speaking of the hot tub - it's covered from the wind by a wooden screen, but it's open from the North side, making it perfect for watching the aurora in winter. The location makes it a perfect base for exploring southern Iceland. Highly recommended!

Das Häuschen war super. Es ist super ruhig gelegen, man fühlt sich sehr abgelegen, obwohl ein paar Häuser drumherum sind und man in paar Fabriken drumherum hat (man sieht nur die Lichter, es ist nichts zu hören oder zu riechen). Wir konnten sogar in zwei Nächten Polarlichter sehen, das war unser absolutes Highlight. Der Ausblick auf den Fjord war auch jeden Tag wieder atemberaubend. Die Ausstattung war perfekt, es fehlte an nichts. Wir konnten sogar den Whirlpool benutzen. Wenn man sehr empfindlich bei Geräuschen ist, sollte man ggf. Oropax mitnehmen (der Wind kann sehr laut werden). Das Häuschen war der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für Roadtrips in den Süden, nach Reykjavik und in den Westen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Wonderful place to stay. Much bigger than we expected. We were far enough away from city lights to see the Northern Lights every night. It had everything we needed and the host was extremely accommodating.

Unser Aufenthalt in der kleinen Wohnung in Reykjavik war sehr schön. Die Lage ist super und total zentral. Die Wohnung hat alles was man für ein paar Tage in der Hauptstadt benötigt und wir fühlten uns direkt wie zu Hause.

Johanna & her sisters were great hosts & the log cabin is really amazing! We received very detailed information how to find & check-in & also some helpful information regarding the area (supermarkets, rental cars etc.). So, we felt like home just when we arrived. The cabin is equipped with really everything you need, e.g. the fireplace & the clothes horse were very helpul when coming back from hiking on a stormy & rainy day. Worth mentioning is also the hot tub from which you can look towards the river. Overall, we can absolutely recommend the log cabin & we will definitely come back. Selfoss (grocery), the Golden Circle, Thingvellir & Reykjavik are within a max. 1.5 hour drive.

Provided a very nice stay for an employee I had staying overnight when we were in a pinch for hotels. Was great hospitality.
