We had a lovely stay in Zaanse Schans at Tine's place. It was easy to find with her helpful instructions and even though not all the bikes worked right away, Tine fixed them all right then and there! Despite us not realizing check out was at 11am, she was super understanding when we left around 11:45am after one last bike ride to the windmills, which are 5 minutes away. Beautiful place, wonderful amenities and appliances, and comfortable beds!

We had the most wonderful stay in this charming cabin nestled on the property of a windmill in Alkmaar. From the moment we arrived, our hosts Kelly and Han made us feel completely at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect—so kind, welcoming, and full of great local tips. The cabin itself is a dream—coziness taken to the next level. Every detail was thoughtfully put together, and it was the perfect place to unwind to relax. Waking up next to a windmill felt like something out of a fairytale. Alkmaar itself is a beautiful village full of history, with adorable shops and restaurants to explore. The charming canals add to the magical atmosphere, and it’s easy to hop on a train to Amsterdam for a day trip. We’re already dreaming of our return and feel so lucky to have made such lovely new friends in Kelly and Han. Highly recommend this magical spot to anyone visiting The Netherlands!

We stayed with Jan and Corrie for 4 nights. The house was everything, and more, that we hoped for. Corrie’s hosting qualities are second to none. We arrived to be personally greeted and presented with goodies. Our bathrooms were checked daily and towels replenished, along with kitchen towels and bins. The house is in a beautiful location with excellent cycling routes from the doorstep. Jan devised routes specifically for us, after asking what we were interested in seeing. I cannot rate this place highly enough - excellent. Thank you.

The farm was beautiful. in an ideal place, set within a short walk of the local village. There was an excellent local bistro and the entire area was green and lush. We came to see Kerkenheuf, which was 23 minutes drive, far enough for us not to get tied up in all the traffic. Neither Kerkenheuf or Gerards farm dissapointed

Beste Ageeth, we hebben het ook al persoonlijk verteld, maar wat een fantastische plek hebben jullie. Helemaal in ‘boeren-rood-wit-geblokt’ thema. Van de kussentjes tot de theedoeken. Een fijne veranda waar we tot laat buiten hebben gezeten. Ontzettend ontspannend zo in de boomgaard. Je komt echt tot rust. Ook het ontbijt was heerlijk. Dus vanuit ons zeker een aanrader! Frank en Celia zijn heel gastvrij en geven je goede tips over de bezigheden of eetgelegenheden in de buurt. Het huisje is netjes, stijlvol ingericht en rustig gelegen in een doodlopende straat. Aan alles is gedacht, je zal niks te kort komen. Ook de omgeving leent zich uitstekend voor fiets of wandeltochten. Wij waren er een lang weekend en hebben er enorm van genoten, echt een aanrader! This caravan has everything needed for a short stay. It’s in a tranquil spot. Sitting outside was so lovely and peaceful in the sun, even in early April. We arrived later than we planned due to delays en route, but having sent a message, we were met and shown around by Michel. He asked what we planned to do while there and Esther sent us helpful tips for our plans. We thoroughly recommend this place. Some form of your own transport is definitely an advantage.

I had an amazing time at the cabin. I am a florist and I came from the USA for the flowers and to learn as much as I could about them, the farming, the flower auctions & the marketing and advertising while I was here. I was traveling solo and her cabin is a perfect location for it all and I felt safe there through out my stay. I also loved the fact that I had the quiet woods and farmland surrounding me but could also be at the beach in a blink of an eye! She was an amazing host with the biggest heart and wonderful recommendations. I so wish to come back one day with my daughter. The cabin and The Netherlands have my heart now! :) Thank you for an amazing trip. P.s.- If you plan to stay here, maybe bring a flashlight because the trail in the woods to the cabin can get a little dark at night! ;)

This house is lovely and magical, fully equipped with everything that’s needed to feel there like home. It’s located in a peaceful neighborhood and close to the nature. We really enjoyed the stay, especially the terrace! It’s definitely worth recommending.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en famille avec nos 3 enfants (3 à 11 ans) dans le charmant logement de Leonel. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la cour intérieure. Nous avons pris le train pour aller à Amsterdam au départ de Castricum, cela se fait facilement. La mer n'est pas loin non plus si vous voulez profiter du sable fin et des dunes.

Prachtige lokatie, vlakbij de maas, mooi polder en dijkgebied. Niet een supermarkt in de buurt maar daar hadden we rekening mee gehouden en zelf thuis al even van alles gehaald. Huis is een van de weinigem in de regio, althans die ik kon vinden, met 3 aparte slaapkamers, met 3 vrienden wel zo prettig. Goed verzorgd alles binnen en buiten en erg schoon. Ruime slaapkamers en prima douche, wc en keuken. Fijne banken om te zitten en bij te kletsen, we hadden ook nogal geluk met het weer dus ook lekker buiten op het terrasje gezeten. Josette reageerde snel en was bijzonder vriendelijk, dus helemaal goed!

From the moment we booked our host Irma was helpful and answered all queries. The house was as described and exactly what we hoped for. We had easy instructions to follow and she was there to meet us with little gifts of local bread and bits. She helped us with places to go and even took us on a lovely walk around the town and along the canal to see a beautiful sunset. The house whilst in a beautiful, peaceful location was close for us to visit all the towns we planned to including Gouda, Delft, Kijkduin and seeing the tulips. We had a lovely holiday which was made even better by having such a wonderful host.

We had a brilliant stay and especially loved sitting on the deck in the sunshine watching the ducks, swans and lambs - such a relaxing place to be! We very much appreciated the goodies that were left for us. The house was very cosy and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We used the bikes to venture out into the countryside - it is a beautiful area for cycling. We also took a trip on Marco’s electric boat which we really enjoyed. The village is peaceful and it is easy to get to Amsterdam - the bus stop is just opposite the house. Marco was an excellent host - great communication before and during our stay and he was very friendly and always happy to help. Thank you to Marco and his family - we had a very happy holiday!

Fijn verblijf gehad in de Bohemian Farmhouse van Arrad. De manier waarop de woning is ingericht is inspirerend. Verder is het lekker rustig en de tuin nodigt uit om in te loungen en een thee'tje drinken. Aanrader!

Mandana and Maurits were great hosts, very nice and helpfull! The house is great for a family, with a very well equiped kitchen, large living room and a nice jacuzzi in the garden. Everything was clean, and the location is great. 10 out of 10 recomended!

Die Unterkunft ist perfekt für die Erkundung von Amsterdam, Leiden, Den Haag und Rotterdam. Sie ist superschön gelegen und perfekt für 4 Personen ausgestattet. Wir waren als 4köpfige Familie dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Annemarie ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, die sehr aufmerksam ist und unseren Aufenthalt zu einem tollen Erlebnis gemacht hat. Vielen Dank!

We had such a gorgeous night out of the city in Joyce’s tiny house. The location is gorgeous with nature all around, perfect for long walks to explore the area. We got the train to Almere and then cycled from there which was a lovely half hour cycle along the river. The house itself is perfect, everything was clean and well thought-out, making the stay easy and comfortable with everything you could need! One of the highlights is of course the private sauna and hot tub which feels like such a treat!

 Joyce was a perfect host, she and her son live on the property and make sure to give you privacy, but are of course on hand for anything you need. 

 Would definitely recommend for an escape from the city.
