Lovely traditional Costa Rica home! Well equipped, peaceful, beautiful surroundings, Helena was very helpful in recommending activities for us and helping organize a rental car. Felt right at home.

We had a fantastic stay at this beach house in Costa Rica. The home was beautifully designed, clean, and thoughtfully appointed — everything felt comfortable and well-maintained. What truly made this experience stand out was the incredible support from the hosts. They went above and beyond, helping us plan our entire trip, from local recommendations to coordinating activities and transportation. Their help made everything easy and stress-free. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-supported getaway in Costa Rica.

Our stay at Elisabeth and Michael's home was fantastic! We felt as though we had stepped back in time to the early 1900's. They have done an amazing job restoring the place while retaining the original character. Their home is truly a work of art. While there are a few modern conveniences one might find missing, we had everything we needed, were very comfortable and felt completely at home. Michael's breakfast was wonderful and he was always ready to help in every way possible. Our conversations with our hosts were captivating and one of the hi lights of our time in Costa Rica! It is quite apparent that Elisabeth and Michael love Puntarenas and Costa Rica. That affection is quite contagious and we found ourselves more in love with their country having visited with them in their home for a few days and would definitely stay with them again.

Bret’s property and house are beautiful and meticulously maintained, like a real life Shangri La. He is running a very low key and small zip line, night tour and horseback riding business on the property. All of that happens very separate from the house and we never even heard anything. Bret was staying next door in the Casita, but he told us he is only there part time and goes back and forth to the US. Bret was an amazing host, showing us around the property and feeding us all kinds of delicious exotic fruit including fresh cacao and some kind of fruit I had never seen or heard of before. He even showed us his 1 year old baby foal and mama. The house is great, with 2 bedrooms upstairs (1 full and 2 twins) and 2 down stairs ( 1 queen and 1 bunk bed). The bunk bed is in a room that has a separate entry via an outside hallway. We saw toucans galore as well as a million hummingbirds. I guess we just missed the resident sloth. My only complaint is that the queen mattress was quite musty.

The place was amazing. A perfect place to be surrounded by nature. We saw toucans every day and lots of other birds. The windows around the house made you feel connected to the outdoors even when inside the house. The star-filled sky at night away from city light pollution was awesome. The spacious porch offered a great view of Lake Arenal. We loved having breakfast around the table on the porch or just relaxing on the couches on the porch. It’s a drivable one hour trip to La Fortuna and the various attractions there. The small little touches such as towels on the bed folded into various shapes showed attention to detail in providing a welcoming experience for guests on arrival. All in all, I highly recommend the place.

Ana and her family were very welcoming and made us feel at home. They invited us to a family meal on Ana's birthday, and even took us on a tour of their farm where we saw their animals and even went horseback riding! Whenever we had questions, Ana was quick to respond, and would go out of her way to find an answer for us. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

This is a great house sitting in a gated resort area. It’s right on the main road to Playa Hermosa, but it’s still very quiet. The views from the deck are amazing! We really enjoyed watching the sunset over the ocean. The house was stocked with everything we needed, and the beds are super comfy. The resort offers shuttles down to the beach. The beach is beautiful, the water is warm and it was very quiet.

Great place, clean and comfortable. Esteban was a friendly and helpful host. Even had some eggs in the kitchen, which was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again!

The place is situated next to a block of condos. You have C access to the lively pool which is a major bonus. Not huge but didn’t need to be and was described as such anyway. Kitchen has what I needed and the bath room was neat and clean. Tv worked and I got my prime up on it. Was cheaper to rent this place than a whole lot of on offer elsewhere. Thoroughly recommend for solo traveller, or a cosy couple.

We loved the place and enjoyed our stay! Mark was very friendly and helpful; he even helped us get our car out of the mud when we got stuck 😊

Greetings, I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. We loved the views of the lake and mountains. The view from the living room is a constant reminder of the incredible natural beauty of Arenal. We enjoyed how the morning light fills the house, especially the main bedroom. We cooked almost every day. Great stove and a well equipped kitchen was a plus and saved us a lot of money. The house is cozy with great views. The grounds are beautiful and enhance the surrounding natural beauty. We really enjoyed the quiet comfort of the house and the environment you have created. Our stay was wonderful! The villa is beautifully renovated and well equipped. The host was responsive and attentive. Absolutely recommend staying here. We’ve been visiting Hacienda Pinilla for 4 years and this is our favorite area, it’s quiet and has access to Bonita beach which is beautiful!

What a great location and atmosphere and the Studio and garden is perfect with all necesities for a true beachfront vacation .. Definitely one of our best stays in Costa Rica. Sonny and Rita are the nicest most welcoming people! We will be back again as their Airbnb is a mew destination for us!!

Volveríamos sin pensarlo , la casa tiene todas las comodidades para sentirte en casa , la cocina muy bien equipada , la regalía del café fue increíble 😊, la cocina cuenta con sal , pimienta , aceite , toallas desechables, todo eso hace que quieras volver , las habitaciones súper cómodas. los encargados siempre al pendiente , muy amables en todo momento, . Al llegar vimos venados al frente de nuestra casa , la reserva tiene mucho por ver y hacer . El tiempo no te alcanzará 😆

Teako House was a really great stay, incredible value for the money, and a truly local experience in a real tico neighborhood that is located in a lush peaceful valley. The apartment was simple but surprisingly spacious and upgrades have been made since these pictures so I found things a bit more spruced up than I expected! From the little terrace you can see the surrounding teak farm and watch the clouds roll by (literally, you're in a cloud forest sometimes!). And the host Juan Carlos is a super nice local surfer and business owner who is stoked to offer up recommendations, etc. if you want them. I had to get some work done during my stay so I particularly appreciated the fast wifi and gorgeous relaxing nature view from the dining table that I used as my desk.

Nous avons bien aimé notre passage à la maison Katira. La maison est sobre et très grande et offre un excellent lieu pour se déposer entre les diverses activités proposées dans la région. À 15 minutes de l'entrée du parc Tenorio et Roi Celeste. La galerie extérieure donne sur une petite ferme et la nature environnante. Des singes sont venus dans les arbres sur le terrain tout près de la maison ! Un grand merci!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei Sandra. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig inmitten der Natur. Alles war sehr sauber. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet.
