Williams place was clean and tidy. The place worked well for me and my friend. The kitchen is well equipped. The place is secure and accessible. As a young student this place was nicer than a hostel. The neighborhood has a grocery store and a bar. Overall my friend and I enjoyed this place and the pool. Thank you William!

I had a great stay at the Surf Shack. The location was fantastic -- super close to the beach and shops and restaurants, but also felt private and quiet. The outdoor swing was a lovely place to hang out, as was the daybed inside. I would definitely reserve again!

A lovely location and a super nice host. Jessica met us on arrival, chatted over making us coffee, got to know us. The house was spacious and very comfortable, a good kitchen dining area and lovely patio. We saw howler monkeys close up and toucans in the garden. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The home is tucked into the mountain. We were greeted by Williams' huge smile and made us feel welcomed. The porch overlooks the valley. The view is incredible. The family is precious. Our daughter loved playing with their children. The family has a coffee farm that you can walk a trail to view. We lived sitting on the porch, listening to thr birds and immersing ourselves in nature. Our last morning- a rainbow was in the valley. The family is helpful and kind. We would be thrilled to stay here again if we make it back to Monteverde. (Their coffee is pretty amazing too)

Jose’s bungalows are a little slice of heaven! We were far enough from the city that the nights felt private and quiet but close enough that we were easily able to walk to town or catch a quick Uber. The sweetest surprise was Luna, Jose’s gorgeous dog, who greeted us at the gate every time we returned and loved to hang out with us by the pool. Would absolutely recommend this place to others!

Los Pargos/Playa Negra is a remote beach, great for walking and beach combing. Sparsely populated, but very friendly surroundings and people. Take water! There is a beach-side restaurant for simple food/refreshment, but mostly it's just surfers, walkers, and folks sitting in the shade of palm trees and cooling off in the waves. There is a small grocery store and several nice places to eat along the road to the beach. A place for serenity and nature lovers, not partiers and night-life seekers. Mathieu replies quite quickly to texts and questions.

Rodrigo was an excellent host. The place is kind of quirky, but we ended up really liking it. The property is private and has a lot of space. It's about a 7 minute drive to the Playa Avellanas beach. It has a great Bar/restaurant within walking distance. Just a couple minutes away. Rodrigo was very accommodating. The place worked well for my family of 5. I would definitely stay here again. Just realize that the place is not exactly where it shows up on the map for Airbnb. You will need to get the directions from Rodrigo. It's not as close to the beach as it appears on the Airbnb map. But again, it's only about a seven minute drive.

Teresita and Eli went above and beyond. We were a group of 14 and rented out all their cabanas. As you can imagine we had lots of questions. They took the time to recommend activities and even booked on our behalf. Also, all of their food recommendations were great. The cabanas were beautiful and had everything we needed.

I had an incredible stay at Joe’s place! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, and the space itself was spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Joe is a fantastic host—super responsive, friendly, and always happy to help with any questions or recommendations. The location was ideal—just a short walk to the beach and great bars, yet tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. One of the highlights of the stay was the private “rooftop”, which offered a great spot to relax.. As someone who needed to get a bit of work done during my trip, I really appreciated the little desk setup. It was comfortable, and the fast internet made working remotely very easy. I can’t recommend Joe’s place highly enough and would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks again, Joe, for such a wonderful experience!

Eine wirklich traumhafte Lage, mit traumhaftem Blick- vor allem zum Sonnenuntergang. Auch die Ausstattung und der kleine Vorgarten ist sehr gemütlich. Wenn man nicht gerade einen normalen PKW sondern etwas stabileres fährt, sind die letzten 3km zur Unterkunft auch deutlich entspannter. Der Weg lohnt sich aber so oder so.

So quaint and quiet. Very short distance from so many types of food and drink. We stayed here on our way to la fortuna. I had one of the best nights of sleep in week in that bed! It’s a tiny bit tricky to find. But Google maps takes you to the right spot and the hosts directed and helped us get right in! Many butterflies and birds around!!

Massimo ist ein herzlicher Gastgeber. Er hat sich immer Zeit genommen und auch schon vorab viele Fragen klären können. Das kleine Haus, in dem wir nächtigten, liegt mitten im Dschungel und hat sich alles, was man braucht. Es war ordentlich und man konnte sogar warm duschen! Ein schöner Ort, um Ruhe und Natur zu genießen 😌 vielen Dank für die schönen Tage!!

We had an incredible time at Jeffry’s home! It was one of the best airbnbs we have ever stayed at!! Jeffry left marshmallows for us to roast which was such a nice touch. The bed was extremely comfortable, shower was clean and felt luxurious. His place truly felt like an oasis and we wished we could have stayed longer!!!

Marie fut une hôte géniale, pleine de conseils et d’attention. Son logement est très propre, rempli de toutes les commodités, avec une belle grande douche extérieure, un bel espace cuisine extérieur et un espace balcon pour la lecture avec hamac et séchoir à linge. Marie a pensé à tout.L’environnement est très calme. Toutefois, pour nous qui n’avions pas de voiture, un peu trop isolé.20 minutes de marche de l’épicerie, 45 minutes de marche de la Playa Conchal sous le soleil de 32 degrés! Ouf! Il y a aussi un bus de la ville possible pour se rendre à Playa Flamingo à 25 minutes de marche. Si vous avez une auto, ce problème ne se pose pas.

Un lieu de rêve! Une vue à couper le souffle, un coucher de soleil 5 étoiles. Les hôtes n’étaient pas présents et nous ont laissé utiliser leur piscine qui est à une super de température et avec une très belle vue. Le lit était super confortable. La douche a beaucoup de pression et l’eau est chaude. La cuisine a toutes les commodité. L’hôte est très réceptif et les indications sont claires pour trouver l’emplacement, nous avons trouvé sans aucun problème. La ville de Marbella et les environs sont très typique c’est le fun pour bien connaître Les costaricains. Bref, ce fut notre meilleur séjour. N’hésitez pas à réserver. De notre côté, nous y retournerons l’année prochaine! Que du positif 😊

A nice oasis in quiet Pelada, with a cool dipping pool in the middle of the two cabanas to share. We were lucky that we knew the other couple in cabana 2 but they were private enough that I don’t think it would have mattered if we didn’t. Close to Sunrise coffee which is great breakfast. We bought coffee and fresh fruit from the market and made breakfast smoothies every day while there. Highly recommend renting a golf cart or ATV to get around as, while the beach and Pelada restaurants are walkable, you will want the broader range to get to Guiones or old town Nosara. Place was modern and clean.

Absolutely breathtaking!! Thank you for providing the most beautiful abode tucked inside the jungle. This place truly embodies the Pura Vida life of which is Costa Rica. This home is built within, and among its surroundings. It’s almost as if it grew out of the foliage. We rented a quad of which helped us to get to places such as the grocery store for a larger shop. But if only on foot, you can walk anywhere you need to. We cooked all of our meals with the exception of a few lunches at home. This place had everything you need to both cook and store leftovers. Everything single thing was well thought out within this space. My boyfriend and I went down for surf, yoga and soul restoration trip and this place served as a major part of the restoration for us! This place has a fully equipped kitchen, all up to date appliances. It is incredibly peaceful throughout the entire day! When we return next year, we will definitely being staying here! Tony was so friendly, responsive, and helpful. The cabin was beautiful and it was so fun waking up and watching monkeys from the property in the morning!

Mathi's place is gorgeous! If you're looking for a peaceful trip, this is your place! When you walk up the hill to get to the space, you feel a sensation of openness, surrounded by beautiful nature. When you arrive, you're greeted by beautiful views in a gorgeous, spacious, private and luminous wooden cabin that blends perfectly with the nature. I totally recommend this place to anyone that loves nature and to disconnected from the city and your routines in order to reconnect with yourself. Thanks for absolutely everything Mathi! 🙏
