El apartamento se encuentra en un lugar de fácil acceso, seguro y muy tranquilo. Completo y cómodo con todo tal y como en la descripción, todo muy limpio y ordenado; era como sentirse en casa. Y Bitty siempre muy amable y atenta, si llegamos a tener la oportunidad de quedarnos de nuevo, sin duda lo haríamos. ¡Muchas gracias!

We stayed for 10 days and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Initially, we thought the description meant we could see the lake from where we stayed but it is really visible from the garden with a beautiful place to sit. The house is very comfortable and plenty of hot water etc. It felt very homelike, not a typical airbnb and we were very very happy there. Leisa even let us use her big kitchen oven to bake a cake and roast veggies although the one with the Casita was perfectly adequate for most things. Jaibalito is quiet, no doubt about it but there’s an easy hike to Santa Cruz if you want more excitement! Indigo bistro in front of the house is a great place to eat also.

Amabely was so helpful and communicative. The place is as beautiful as the pictures. We enjoyed our stay and it was conveniently located. Morelia received us and was so sweet and helpful. We really got a homie Guatemalan experience. You do need to bring your own towels and higiene products. Other than that, everyone adults and kids loved our stay.

Nuestra estancia fue maravillosa! Charlotte es una excelente host junto a Jovi quien nos apoyó muchísimo y ambas siempre estuvieron muy muy atentas a todo. Súper amables. Detalles como el café en grano, molinillo, té, protector solar, repelente, toallitas húmedas, kit de emergencia, sillas y sombrilla de playa, bolsa de playa, wow… fueron detalles que sobresalen de la media y te hacen sentir como en casa. Todo Super limpio y espacioso. La zona tranquila. Verdaderamente recomendable!! Tuvimos un problema de electricidad y agua durante unas horas (normal por la zona) por un árbol que se cayó por la zona, pero Charlotte siempre estuvo informándonos de noticias al respecto y estuvo muy pendiente. Olvidé mis sandalias y ellas amablemente me están ayudando a recuperarlas. TOP Host!

We had a great stay at Lou's place - he was a great host with as many recommendations as you could want for things to do and places to see. He also rents out kayaks, canoes and mountain bikes - we had a lovely sunset paddle on the lake. There were a family of howler monkeys chilling in the trees right in front of the house a couple of times too, along with the occasional toucan. The room was simple but nice and did the job, as shown on the photos. One thing to note is that the kitchen is Lou's own kitchen and it's quite busy so if you want to use it you'll need to work around whatever he has going on.

Hermoso lugar, a pesar de que llegue noche el anfitrión siempre estuvo pendiente, la casa es súper cómoda, tiene un cuarto con aire acondicionado. El lugar es bastante tranquilo.

What a lovely place! I stayed 4 nights in February, and had a wonderful time, surrounded by all the beautiful sights and sounds of Katy’s garden. Shower was hot and the room very spacious. I also enjoyed the interactions with the students at the language school, and Katy’s dad who took care of lots of the logistics. Seeing people study Spanish in the garden was very motivating. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my stay here, the views were beautiful, and it was close enough to the village to be accessible but far enough away to be peaceful (5-10 min walk to village restaurants and easy access to docks to catch boats to other villages on the lake). The house was very nice and clean, as pictured. Elaine does have several friendly dogs on the premises, so if you aren’t a dog person that’s something to be aware of, but if you like dogs (like me) there’s always a pup around to pet. Elaine was very helpful and friendly, she picked us up in Panachel (a service she offers for a reasonable fee) which made funding the house much easier and remained communicative and helpful throughout our stay. Would stay again!
