Was an amazing stay for me and my friends! We enjoyed the scenes from the back door! Super convenient location right on embden pond legit the pond is 30 steps away from the back door! We will for sure be back in the summer time with our boat! The host was amazing and super flexible with check in and check out times really making sure we got the full enjoyment and the house instructions are super easy! Only thing I wish was different was maybe a tv somewheres just to enjoy movie with family at night or catching some news with morning coffee or those really cold days ice fishing where you just want to watch traps from the door with movie playing for the kids just helps put that background noise in a house something much needed I feel.. thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us and look forward to coming back!

My cousin and I spent a week at holly's house. We made our day trips from there. All the sights were easily and quickly accessible by car from there. Whether in the north, south, east or west of Maine. We enjoyed spending our evenings in a fully equipped house. From check-in to check-out, everything was uncomplicated. We really enjoyed our time there.

Marks place made our trip to visit family very comfortable and convenient to visit in the middle of winter. Very cozy and inviting and Mark was very attentive to ensuring our check-in and stay was great. If your looking for a great stay in Skowhegan with plenty of space and accommodation look no further.

Went here last year, had a great time. It did not disappoint this year. Plenty of sleeping room for our party of fishermen, the two jack and Jill bathrooms were a must for eight guys on a fishing trip. Area is nicely divided inside so some guys could take a snooze while others were awake. This place is exactly as advertised, meant for groups out fishing or on the trails as a place to hang your hat for the weekend. Nicole is a great host, even let us park early there so we could get some fishing in before check in. Look, you are not spending the weekend inside at this place, you are out in nature, coming in for dinner and bedtime, and for our group of guys that’s exactly what we needed. If you are out on the hard water or sledding the trails, this is a comfy and surprisingly spacious stopover point. The host is top notch, will absolutely use this spot again next time we fish schoodic for the weekend!

For our family vacation this was perfect. The kids can sled right on the property. Jay has lights along the trail for night sledding as well. We tried ice fishing for the first time and had fun with that. Our mission was for snowmobiling though, and this is a good starting point. Ride directly from the cabin without any hassles. Jay is a fantastic host. He happened to be staying at The Boathouse (next to The Bunkhouse) for a few days for his kids' school vacation, and he could not have been any friendlier. We are already looking forward to next year. The Bunkhouse is not the fanciest cabin on the lake, nor is it intended to be. It is designed for sleeping a good crowd of people who are motivated around outdoor activities. The wood stove makes returning to the cabin that much more enjoyable. The view of the lake and mountains is hard to beat, considering the tall pines surrounding the area. Overall, this was a great experience, and we would return again without thinking about it.

Was everything the posting said, pictures were exactly right. Beautiful area. Crystal clear lake, beautiful kayaking, walking trails to beach. Easy walk even for a two yr old. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kayla was an excellent host. Very responsive to any questions or needs. Had an issue with shower that was addressed and fixed same day. I can’t say enough about how nice this was. Thank you again for having us

Charming little cottage on the lake! Had a lot of fun, easy to get to town and the lake was serene and peaceful. Great place to stay!

The cabin was cozy, clean and peaceful. It was easy to find. The surrounding area is beautiful. Sitting on the dock in the mornings to have coffee was absolutely perfect. Will definitely be going back in warmer weather!

Nice and cozy place right down the street from boat launch and snowmobile trails. Plenty of parking space available for trucks and trailers
