We had a wonderful stay at the forager house! Exactly as pictured in the listing - no frills, but very comfy and met our needs for our trip. We loved going down to the water at low tide to look for creatures and watching for otters in the mornings. We used it as our access point to Olympic National Park and it was perfect!

Nice house, accurately described, great location! One thing the description doesn't mention is that there are DINOSAURS (made out of driftwood) along the beach, which was a super cool surprise. One thing to note is that the house is close to the refinery, so there are lights at night and some smells, although low tide accounts for some of that and can't be avoided.

We had a wonderful but too short of a stay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Brian's again and hope to be able to do so again. The view was wonderful and the place was very warm and inviting.

Such a lovely house. Peaceful and quiet right by the water. Beautiful, comfortable living space. Host was readily available for quick questions. We saw Orca’s and humpback whales off the deck! As well as loads of harbor seals swimming by. Really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed staying at Dawn's place. Very peaceful and serene seaside location. We enjoyed a walk along the rocky beach and using the telescope to watch the seagulls play in the water. The fireplace was warm and cozy during cooler, cloudy days. Lovely place!

Gorgeous views! Private beach to enjoy Clean hot tub Well appointed kitchen with everything you would need to cook meals. Just bring food! I like to know as much as possible about the layout of a home so hope this helps: The master bedroom has a king bed and is big and lovely with a full bathroom. Above that room is a loft with a full bed and a twin bed. Great space for young adults (closest bathroom is across the house and it is a powder room) The other side of the house has two bedrooms. One with a queen and a futon, the other with a queen and a twin. Those rooms do not have a ton of extra space. The kitchen is nicely remodeled and easy to use. The staircases are a little steep, fine for the younger travelers but did not feel comfortable with grandparents tackling them. Very comfortable beds! The living area has large windows to enjoy the view! We absolutely loved our time there and wanted to stay longer!

This was a beautiful place to stay. The dining area was so nice and the living area was very comfy and very home feeling. Everything was clean up in arrival and the rooms were very nice! check in was easy and check out was just as easy! I would definitely book here again!!

Tim and Patti were great hosts. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return when next on Mayne Island. The space was clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and peaceful. We were wowed by the great views and appreciated being so close to the trails. Thank you for such a relaxing long weekend!

we come back time and again because this is such a great location. we visit often to the area with much of out family in Whatcom county and this rental is near by them

Peaceful place to stay a couple of days for sure. The cottage was cute, well furnished and decorated with some nice touches. This place will have you feeling right at home very quickly. I would stay here again.

It truly is such a magical place. The cabin was so cozy and we definitely spent a lot of time on the lake. This was our second time here, and we hope it’s not the last!

If you want a sweet little respite away from the rest of the world, this is an excellent spot. Cottage was squeaky clean and had gorgeous views of both water and mountains. The market was super helpful, and they have a great selection of VHS tapes and DVDs available to borrow for a blast from the past. Truly one of my favorite stays I’ve ever had.

It’s rare to find a place that’s both in a stunning location and feels like home. You’ll come for the breathtaking sea view from every room and the beautiful beach just steps away—but you’ll want to return for the comfort and thoughtful touches. The house is cozy and full of character, and incredibly well-equipped: a ready-to-use BBQ, a projector for cozy movie nights, and games that kept the kids entertained. They especially loved the rocking chair! Every detail made our stay relaxing, easy, and memorable.

We loved staying at this beautiful lakefront cottage! There was so much space and we had everything we needed. The place was very clean and neat. Belinda was friendly and responsive and she even suggested local things to see. We would definitely stay here again.

The cabin of your childhood dreams…sit back, relax, enjoy the lake and connect with family/friends. North Lake has fabulous swimming and almost no bugs. The cabin has a lovely view and lots of different areas to sleep. Lynne was a great host, very attentive and communicative. We had a lovely time, thanks Lynne.

Gil and Sue made us feel so welcome during our winter stay. The cabin was beautiful, cozy, and had everything you needed to relax inside and watch a movie, cook a big meal, or stay in bed and look up at the stars. Every morning we would make a coffee and go sit on the beach and watch the eagles and sea lions, it was extremely peaceful for the two of us and our dog. There are kayaks to use but we weren’t brave enough to use them in December. You’re walking distance to many trails and the general store is open everyday and well stocked. The bedroom loft is phenomenal, definitely a highlight, just keep in mind like any loft it’s up a slightly narrow spiral staircase but Gil and Sue have put automatic lights in for when you need to go up and down in the middle of the night which was great. We can’t wait to come back for another relaxing stay here!

I can't recommend Darrell and Carlene's cabin enough! My partner and I took our 1.5 year old and it was the perfect getaway. The cabin was cozy and peaceful and the views are unbeatable. Plenty of activities to enjoy without leaving the property, but close to many more as well. We can't wait to visit again!

This is a gorgeous spot! We enjoyed the spectacular view and the comfortable home. Watching sea lions from the house was icing on the cake!

Book this gem. Reason #1: When one of our dogs died prior to our stay, Kylie didnt have to give us our dog fee back but she did. Choose this place because this host is a decent and altruistic human being. And it's always reassuring to book a BnB run by a host who won't be trying to extract every penny she can. This host will have your back if problems develop. Reason #2: The lake location is beyond amazing-- plus you have acess to kayaks. This place is idyllic and beautiful, not to be missed.

We had a wonderful stay in Harrison's house. It is equipped and prepared to an extremely high standard. I have rarely experienced a kitchen with so many kitchen utensils. Plus the beautiful surroundings right on the beach. Harrison really is a super host! It was a pleasure to talk to him. He brought us fresh eggs in the morning. We have extended our stay and I definitely want to come back. Thank you for everything!!!

Can’t say enough great things about this home. My family really enjoyed our spring break stay on the lake. There were no details missed to having a comfortable stay. The hot tub and sauna were great after a family paddle with the kayaks. There are abundant linens for water activities. We really enjoyed the wood stove inside on the cooler nights. Thanks for the great stay.

This was easily the best Airbnb I ever stayed in. Clean, homey, and surrounded by breathtaking views. Holly provided everything we needed to have a great trip including a ton of movies to pick from while we relaxed at night. This place was so awesome we didn’t want to leave!

This place is absolutely fantastic! Fyi, there are a number of stairs to reach the unit and spaces, but its totally worth it. And owner made this clear… We’ll be back. Its an all year experience,.. we’re hoping to come back in Summer next time!
