The house was just as described. The road leading to the house was not clearly marked but I don’t see that as their issue. Really appreciated the labels in the kitchen cabinets. All beds were noted as very comfortable.

This home was very comfortable. Everything I needed was provided for me. Melissa communicated with me when necessary. When I had a question, I could always text her and she had an alternate person that I could’ve contacted if necessary. I love staying at Melissa‘s home! This is the third year in a row that I’ve stayed and I like it more each year!

Wonderful place for family to play cards, fish, kayak and relax. Large back yard for our dogs. Great large kitchen to prepare meals. Everything was clean and comfortable. We look forward to returning for another weekend.

We loved the home and the design that went into it! We had a group of 10 and every one was able to find some personal space when needed. My only suggestion is to clean the outside a little more around the entrance. There were cobwebs around the screen doors. The pathways were very weedy and seemed unkept. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house has lots of great features and accommodated our group perfectly.

We like Cory's cabin on Pine River so much that we stay there 3 times a year. It is a lovely quiet little place, on such a beautiful little river. The sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous. This past visit we were delighted to see dozens of beautiful swans every day and an eagle likes to perch a few hundred feet away.

Majorie’s home was in a beautiful, peaceful spot, yet close to town if we needed anything. Marjorie responded to questions quickly. Very comfortable, great linens and towels, and countless amenities. We had everything we needed and the space worked well for our family Christmas get together.

Met up with some family at this place and we had a great time. Very clean space with plenty of room and we had fun playing ping pong and billiards. Also, we enjoyed the hot tub after a cold plunge in the lake. Would recommend this place for any larger groups/family gathering.

Really enjoyed the stay. The place was beautiful and peaceful. House was well stocked and had everything we needed. Peter was very responsive and helpful to ensure we had a great time according to what we were expecting.

My wife and I booked this home for ourselves and 5 other couples (12 people total) and we had a great time! There was plenty of space for us all, and it was the perfect place to connect with our friend group. The main living room was spacious and comfortable to fit all of us at one time. We spent most of our time cooking together, playing games, and doing some hiking in the surrounding area. This home definitely enhanced our great weekend :) The sauna and hot tub are also great amenities, so we always had something to do! Dan and Mona Jo were responsive hosts and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. We recommend booking this gem ASAP before somebody else does!

Our stay at the cabin was wonderful, feeling like home on a beautiful lake! The location was private and the cabin was clean and well-equipped for our family. Scott was a great host. Very helpful and attentive. Highly recommend!! Thank you!!!

We came in winter and it was beautiful. They were responsive to our questions and helped us figure out how to get heat to the basement. Turned out great. Would highly recommend.

Very nice place, was well stocked even had extra coffee. The basement exit was nice for pets and our ice fishing stuff. Felt comfortable and nice deck on front. The only problem was with the door locks. None of them worked properly and could see elderly people struggling with them. That being said would recommend it, it is cozy.

This place was perfect for our family. From the floor plan to the room privacy, to the ability to have our dogs with us. They really thought of everything for their guests. There's extra seasonings, smore goodies(the sticks2), coffee machine plus a Keurig with pod, extra TP, and ceiling fans! The appliances look brand new, all easy to work. I thought the decor was perfect as well, such lovely little touches. We loved the rustic but sturdy table. The beds were comfy, there's extra pillows and clean bed linen. We slept great. It really was a home away from home. The only minor cons were: the traffic on the scenic road was busy, busy. But they don't have control of that. And the water pressure was lower in the shower. We made it work. We still got clean. Honestly with all the pros on this place, the cons are nothing. We absolutely appreciated and enjoyed ourselves in this home. The sunrise from the deck was beautiful! A great memory to have with my daughter.

What a lovely home and beautiful surroundings!! It was very homey and comfortable for our group of 4 on a girlfriend weekend get-a-way - the kitchen and dining area were perfect to spend cooking and eating together! And with it being winter, it was fun to have a bonfire down by the frozen lake! Our host, Donna, was quick to respond and very helpful with whatever we needed. Our group would return in a heart beat!!

This house was very clean and worked great for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. Great location - If it had been warmer we could have walked to the shops and restaurants in town. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced back yard and watching the world go by out the front window.

This was a very clean and welcoming house, perfect for our girls weekend. There was plenty of room for 10 of us. We loved the view of the lake, watching ducks and even an otter. Excellent flexibility when needing to change the number of guests and great communication. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

We loved staying at Island View Lodge this past week! The house is a dream and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The views are incredible and we spent the week listening to the waves, watching the hummingbirds, listening to the loons, and we even saw the bald eagle a few times. The house and views are even better than the pictures; I felt so happy and carefree it was hard to come home! We spent a couple of days visiting nearby towns like Crosslake for pizza, mini golf and ice cream, Brainerd, and Park Rapids but the place was so nice I didn’t want to leave! We definitely hope to be back next year!

Amazing place, everything was as described and extremely clean when we got there. Plenty of space for our group and a beautiful backyard with access to the lake. Nice and quiet at night but a little noisy during the day due to the proximity of the Brainerd International Raceway. There happened to be an event the weekend we rented out the place, so there was almost constant noise coming from the cars during open hours of the raceway. This is mentioned under "Things to know", but the amount of noise was a little more than what described.

Honestly, it was of the best weekends I’ve had in years! I went to Brainerd to work a wedding but also to celebrate my birthday with my family and this adorable home on the water did not disappoint one bit! It was more than I expected! We definitely want to come back!!! Thanks so much for letting us stay at your beautiful property!! It was perfect for us. God bless!

Polana Retreat is a beautiful, serene and secluded property in the woods. Ken and his wife have decorated the cabin with exquisite taste, showcasing their travels around the world. The trails around the property are well marked and give you the feel of being in the woods. We were delighted to see a deer family come by everyday. The loon family on the lake was a true joy!

This place is a gem! Brittany was a great host-friendly and responsive. The house slept my family of 5 and the grandparents comfortably. All the kitchen items and grills made cooking easy. The hot tub was used multiple times a day by the kids even in the middle of summer and the adults enjoyed relaxing evening soaks. We brought our fish/ski boat. Nokay Lake was perfect for all water sports-skiing, tubing, and wakeboarding. We also caught a few northern pike's while trolling. The lake water was calm and clear. The kids spent hours on the dock-catching pan fish, kayaking, paddle boarding, swinging from the rope swing, and playing on the Lilly pad. The lake was just perfect for us! We made a few short trips to Crosby and Brainerd for coffee, ice cream and some boutique shopping. Mountain bike trails within a 10 minute drive from the house was the icing on the cake for us. We love the trails here. This vacation was the perfect mix of activity and relaxation!
