Dorothy is a wonderful hostess, very attentive and accommodating. The rental house is cozy and has everything you need. There is plenty of space and access and parking is easy. Best of both worlds because there are plenty of restaurants and shops just 15 minutes away in Rocky Mount, the location is in a quiet country setting.

Renee was a fantastic host, very responsive, and made sure we were happy through out our stay. And when we asked to extend an extra day, it wasnt a problem. The kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms and bedrooms were clean, and it is a beautiful location. Will definitely be back in the near future.

This farm stay was the perfect stop off on our family road trip. The cabin was clean and cool, and mostly wood. Our host was friendly and showed us around the property including the chickens and bunnies and tree swings which our son loved. The property was green and beautiful. The cabin is simple but had all the little touches needed for comfort.

This was the second year in a row we spent Thanksgiving at Simon’s place. The home is a wonderful place to stay as it’s well maintained and well stocked. There’s also plenty to do on site and nearby. Simon is responsive to questions and reasonable accommodation requests.

The Cozy Coop Barn Apartment was a perfect overnight stay for a long drive. Super quiet, peaceful, and private. The space had everything I needed and it felt very homey. Was woken up by the chickens outside which I loved- staying at a barn was a selling point for me. Got to hang out with the animals that were outside in the pastures in the morning which was so unique to this stay and special. Marni was a responsive host, thank you for the stay!

Clean, comfortable, bright and relaxing house with great lake views. Had everything we needed. Spent 2 mornings playing disc golf in the area, but other than that, there was no reason to leave the property. Kristen was a great host with great communication. Would love to visit this spot again!

Such a wonderful respite from our I95 trip north. Halifax is a lovely little town with tremendous charm and history. There is a fun and dog friendly pub on King street - literally a 2 minute walk from the cottage, where friendly locals gather in the early evening. Lots of fun conversations and history shared. The cottage is lovely with a huge backyard for dog exercise. While only a kitchenette, Glenn had it furnished with a well curated set of electric appliances that allow warming and preparation of meals (m/w, toaster oven, air fryer, toaster). The internet is fast and the bedroom and bathroom are very comfortable. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood (friendly neighbors) and the town including the historic site. I’d rather keep this stay a secret but cannot recommend more highly.

Laura was awesome and the house was perfect for our family! We will stay with her every time we visit our family there. The home is located in a great area, well laid out. very clean and stocked with excellent amenities.

Very peaceful and easy to find. Stephen and his co host were quick responders when I had a question. And also told me where extra blankets were just in case we needed extra. I appreciate them especially because it was a last minute booking.
