Very nice place to stay. The view from the back yard is priceless and is very relaxing .She has everything there to make for a nice evening outside ,patio lights, firepit ,lite up dock and picnic table right on the water. Inside is very clean and cozy and is not lacking for anything that you might need .This is not a place that you want to make any excessive noise as there is another residence right above you.

This was the most amazing place. We spent a week here and Everything you needed or wanted was right in this place. The surroundings were peaceful, very inviting. Gillian checked in with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything. The beds were very comfy. The firepit is beautiful there was a fully stacked wood pile to use for the fire. There were lots of chairs all around to sit outside or out by the the dock. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Gillian and Scott for your hospitality.

Lovely area. Quiet and peaceful . Nice country getaway. Rental had everything you could ever need. Even had a bbq. Had a fire pit to sit around in evenings.

Excellent host and very hospitable. The accommodation was very clean. Location is great because it is very close to Dalhousie.

Interior is modern and very comfortable and the swim spa and patio area are private, with great views of the bay during the day and the stars at night. Easy access to Hailfax and the surrounding area.

We stayed for two nights and loved the condo. It is centrally located with waterfront view just minutes away from downtown. The condo is very spacious, tastefully decorated, very clean and offers all the amenities. The access road to the condo is obscure and can be easily missed if you are not paying attention, especially at night. We will definitely recommend it to our friends.

This home is a gem. It has amazing woodwork and design. Every square inch of the property has been attended to. It was cozy and spacious enough for our family. We could have stayed several more days! The view of sunsets on St. Margaret's bay is etched upon my mind. The back and side yard ins nestled up on Paddy's head and you can walk down to the water and forget about life for a while.

This is a lovely and comfortable home. Truly everything you need for a romantic getaway or a family retreat. Just waking up to the serene harbor view is worth it. And all the toughtful touches in every single room made it feel like home.

The views exceeded our expectations and the host was very responsive. It was a very cozy home close to local amenities and that had everything we needed. A great space for a group.

Amazing place to enjoy our family Christmas under one roof. Spacious and so cozy all in one! We loved the fireplace and the easy access to the beach. There was a snowstorm when we were there and so we were nestled in all day. It was so beautiful to watch the storm roll in and feel so comfortable!

Back Bay's Cottages are truly a hidden gem. I went on a little get-away and it truly felt like I was on a spaceship on another world, cut out from all problems. The design is beautiful, modern, elegant: a small bubble of sophistication and comfort in the midst of the surrounding wilderness; the view on the coast is magnificent, no matter the season. The cottage is very well-equipped, to the point where I could've come with less luggage. The only thing I should note is that having a car makes any errands much easier, as all the coast's towns and villages are only accessible via car, as well as shops, grocery stores and restaurants. Other than that, I will certainly come back in the future!
