We booked a family room with Sajan and everything is nice. Bathroom is super spacious, hot water works instantly. Amenities are all good: iron, hair drier, clothes racks are available upon request. Good wifi connection. There is also couch and patio for guests to use. Sajan also prepared us to-go breakfast with coconut at 5am when we leave for safari. Cleaniness is satisfactory . I'll recommend guest to live here.

A beautiful place in an awesome location with private access to a stunning beach. We loved our stay and the staff were extremely helpful and cooked great dishes both for breakfast and dinner.

The villa itself is absolutely stunning – spacious, clean, and surrounded by lush greenery that creates the perfect serene atmosphere. What made my stay even more special was the incredible hospitality from the owner. Not only did he provide such a warm welcome, but he also served as our driver, making everything so much easier and stress-free. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and reliable. Whether I needed suggestions for places to visit or a ride to explore the area, he was always there, going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The combination of the beautiful villa and the personalised service made this experience unforgettable. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better host or a more perfect place to stay. Highly recommend this villa – it’s the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure with an exceptional host to match.

Upul and his family are the nicest hosts. They helped out with everything we needed and made amazing breakfast and dinner for a reasonable price. It was much better than the near by restaurants. The location has a great pool and just a few minute walk from the beach. Our favourite beach was silent beach which is 5 minute by tuktuk. Be aware that Sri Lankan nature is around you so don’t be afraid of little insects. We’ve seen peacocks and iguanas in the garden. Overall we had a really good time.

You couldn’t find a more perfect place to stay. Beautiful, comfortable house, all on one level, big, clean pool and very helpful staff, Nalaka was on hand when needed to help with shopping, cleaning and arranging for the chef for the evenings when we enjoyed a delicious cooked meal at home. Location is also excellent, just a few steps down the lane to a clean, empty beach. A good selection of small beach bars/restaurants, we liked the Sea Dragon, but all we tried were great. A small local store is close by the house for life’s essentials. Being in a village makes life more interesting and we got to recognize and enjoy chatting with some of the friendly locals . You will almost certainly see monkeys, peacocks and some spectacular birdlife. Overall, highly recommended! And Will was always easy to contact and quick to respond. Our stay with Andrew was truely amazing! This is one of the best places we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The place is beautiful, the rooms are big and very clean. They are furnitured with love for detail and we felt right at home! The kitchen is also very well equipped. We loved the peaceful garden with the beautiful pool and lots of space to relax. The beach is secluded with a few cute restaurants and it‘s even possible to swim. Andrews hospitality was truely outstanding (helping us with everything we needed) and he is an amazing cook. Thank you so much - we would love to come back!

The highlights of our stay at Machan Villa were the surroundings and our hosts, Yasith and Soma. We spent a lot of time on the property, enjoying the pool area and beautiful gardens. The property is very private and borders "the jungle" so there was lots of animal life( birds-peacocks, monkeys, lizards). The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were large and clean. The kitchen could use some upgrading. There is no microwave and the barbeque and some appliances are looking pretty worn. Yasith and Soma were excellent hosts. They provided wonderful breakfasts every morning ( we did not need lunch!) and cooked great seafood dinners. They took great care of the grounds, pool and house while we were there. They also provided transportation and offered to book tours for us if we wished. We hope to return to the Villa some day!
