We had a great time over a holiday weekend! The house was close to a few places to get necessities and a few places to eat. It was within a half hour to a few ski areas also, which was the main plan of our trip. The house was beautiful and clean. Thr sauna and hot tub were great features of the home. We got a good amount of snow while there and Julian was quick to keep us updated on having the driveway plowed. The area is beautiful wotha lake view. The house had plenty of space and bathrooms for our two families. Everything was clean and in goof shape when we arrived.

We stayed here between Christmas & New Year 2024. It was like stepping into a Hallmark Christmas Movie. We pulled up and the house was lit with beautiful white lights and a Christmas tree on the porch. The inside was decorated with another tree and pretty pink and silver Christmas decor. The house was clean and just as pictured. It was a beautiful old home filled with 100 year old character but renovated with modern conveniences. It had all needed amenities, and a big driveway for parking. It was so nice that dogs were welcome. The town is a quaint Adirondack town complete with a 5 & Dime store, eateries, cute gift shops, farm store, and of course Stewart's for ice cream & gas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommended this home for a great getaway in the Adirondacks.

Our visit surpassed our expectations! There was so much space and we had everything we needed in the house to feel perfectly comfortable. It was a really enjoyable space for all of us and so much bigger than we thought. The private property is so very beautiful and The house is well equipped with everything we needed. Can’t wait to stay again! We’ve already recommended to friends and family and know they will enjoy it as well! Thank you!

Amazing location right on the creek. The backyard is very scenic. Place is well maintained with all necessary amenities. A cast iron chiminea next to the hot tub is a nice touch. Overall great place to relax at. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely home! The design and ambiance was exactly what we were looking for. Bed was comfortable, and the sauna and fire pit was a great addition! We enjoyed our stay.

This property provided a wonderful stay; the house was beautiful and fully equipped. The area offers numerous winter activities, and we plan to make this an annual trip.

Our stay was amazing. We were right in the town and just minutes from the lake itself. Plenty of room for a big family. Back yard was beautiful. Only thing that I would add is that the dishes were dirty when we went to go use them and there were no cleaning supplies that I could find. Outside of that our stay was great!

We picked this spot to be a launching point for hiking etc. if we’d known how gorgeous the river is right here on Jonathan’s land, we would have built in more time in our trip at the Airbnb!

We enjoyed our stay at Joshua’s ABnB. The location to where we wanted to go was perfect! The rental was clean and inviting.

Amazing upscale place. Everything is brand new and highest quality ever possible. We used the kitchen, the grill, the fire pit and the access to the lake. A washer and a drier were an amazing add on. Turkey with her chicks came to the backyard and left us feeling amused. We could also see the 4th of July fireworks from our windows. Will definitely come again. Highly recommend.

We had a very relaxing stay at Lenny abd Boka's place. The driveway was very icy but Lenny was out every morning to put sand around our car so we wouldn't slip and fall!

Beautiful location in the Adirondacks! We were lucky enough to book North Acre for the eclipse and it was a warm and comfortable retreat.

Simply spectacular. This cabin and the property is beautiful. We had an amazing weekend stay and enjoyed every moment. The fall foliage was breathtaking and kayaking on Lake Pleasant was so fun. The cabin has everything you need for a well equipped and cozy stay. Lots of games and what a nice treat to have the s’mores and starter basket of coffee, tea, & hot cocoa. We can’t wait to come back and spend more time at this slice of paradise.

We came to Mark & Patti’s cabin for a weekend away to celebrate our anniversary. It was nothing short of amazing! It was accessible in the winter (plowed roads/driveway), had everything we needed for a comfortable winter stay. We couldn’t use the porch due to snow/ice, but that’s completely understandable in the wintertime conditions in the ADK. Access to internet/TV, and games made it fun. We wanted to be close to the ADK park and wild areas to explore, and this location provided the perfect locale to access trails and recreation. Also, the towns of Speculator and Wells have plenty of local shops and places to go in town. We visited Wilcox Lake Wild Forest to go snowshoeing, and there’s plenty more locations to visit to fish or hike. Mark & Patti made sure we couldn’t want for anything during our stay, were responsive and helpful, and were truly wonderful hosts. We hope to visit again in the future so we can kayak and enjoy the Floe during warmer months. :)

My family of 4 stayed here for a long weekend. 2 adults and 2 teenagers. It was a perfect spot for a family winter get-away. Well appointed kitchen, games, etc…. Beds are comfortable. Well supplied with towels, blankets and kitchen linens. Close to Oak mountain for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. We really enjoyed the house and the location. It was a winter wonderland!

The was as pictured, perfect spot for accessing all old forge has to offer and right down the street from big moose and a couple blocks off 4th lake.. great host/great house..

Amazing location to xc ski at Garnett Hill (right down the road about 5-10 mins) or Gore Mtn to ski (about 15 mins away). The location is very peaceful and the house itself is a great mix of updated and cabin cozy. We have two young boys ages 6 and 3 and found the layout to be kid friendly and safe, no issues with the stairs. The host even left a high chair in the entertainment room ( which we didn't use but was a nice feature for families with young kids). We found the amenities to be great, it was comfortable to stay and cook in the kitchen and use all the appliances--we used the coffee maker, stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave. The showers were warm and bathrooms were updated and nice. We all took full advantage of the wood stoves and sauna after skiing and playing in the snow. Amenities are within 10-15 mins in North Creek, we found the food options at Tops to be great. Would recommend to any families or outdoor seekers!

This was the second time we stayed here and once again it did not disappoint. The host is property is amazing. We had a wonderful anniversary and were lucky enough to catch a clear night with a view of the northern lights. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you, Rachel.

Introvert's paradise! The price was right, the area is beautiful, and the cabin had everything I needed for a peaceful night in. I look forward to my next visit!
