Rebecca was a wonderful host! She was incredibly friendly and helpful with anything we needed. I fully recommend her and her property for anyone traveling through the area! The home is beautiful, private, and just perfect for us!

We had an amazing time at Raum's Hollow for our 2 families. The kitchen was well-stocked and the lake was such a hit for our tweens and teens - they loved kayaking, there's a hill to fly kites, and it's quiet and peaceful. A great getaway close to great hikes.

Beautiful up-to-date modern farmhouse in a quiet idyllic setting. Perfect spot for a relaxing, stress-free stay. Our hostess was always responsive to Amy questions or needs. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location right on the river. We enjoyed watching the sunrise each morning and sitting out on the back deck watching the boats go by. We hiked Rim Rock, Pounds Hollow, and Garden of the Gods in SNF. The jacuzzi tub was so nice after a long day of hiking. The kitchen could use some bakeware, but was stocked with most of the essential. This place was the perfect retreat for the two of us.

This was a short stay with the family while my son turkey hunted. The home was clean,comfortable and homey. Very peaceful area. Fenced area for our dog. Shawnee Nationalforest with hiking trails, Garden of the Gods, fishing, Cave in Rock. Hope to stay here again.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this home. It was spacious and cozy. We had wonderful nights together making family meals, playing games, tether ball, and enjoying the hot tub. During the day we explored the nearby Garden of the Gods (a must), Lower Rim Rock, and Cave-in-Rock. We loved our time in the country. As city folk from northern IL, it was fun to see how different and hilly southern IL is!

The Riverside Lodge was awesome! My kids (15 yo & 13 yo) and I dropped in for a few days during Spring Break. We wanted something close to the Shawnee National Forest spots to hike throughout the day, but also comfy enough to kick back relax and reenergize during the evening...this place was perfect!! The inside is just as cozy as pictured. Bed was super comfy. Kids loved sleeping on the couch. Stepping outside in the morning to take a short walk along the river and down to gas station for some biscuits and gravy. Stephanie has a binder at the lodge that is so helpful in planning outings at the local spots. We had to shift some things due to weather and it helped coordinate what we could do after losing some time. No cell service anywhere within the county and my teenagers didn't want to leave. Helpful tip: Be ready with food to eat at the lodge or hit the store up before you arrive. Shotgun Eddy's was a sweet spot to eat out.

Eric and Tyra's place was very warm and homie. We love that everyone could hang out in the living room and talk. We also played cards at the dinning room table. Tyra checked with us several times while we were staying there to make sure everything was good. We really enjoyed our stay.

This cozy little cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. It had everything you needed including Little extras that made it even more special! Loved the welcome bag with 2 kinds of gourmet popcorn, the coffee bar, and the hot tub (wonderful) Unfortunately we didn't get to use the fire pit or be outside much because the weather was pretty nasty, but it didn't put a damper on the atmosphere inside. We we be back!! Ben

Shawnee Forest Cabins were a great place to stay after hiking the area all day. The cabin was cozy, easy to find, and very clean upon our arrival. The hosts were very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. If you utilize the hot tub, make sure you look up and appreciate all the stars!!!

Took a romantic getaway with my fiancé. The camper was homie and intimate, and the hot tub was clean and relaxing. Loved it and would definitely love to come again soon.
