The Country Pumpkin was a great retreat for my husband and I while we were house hunting in Texas. The location is perfect for those wanting a private, peaceful, and beautiful get away. The master bed is phenomenal! Jake the bull is a sweetie and our host, Vickie, was very helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay again.

Our family absolutely loved staying at Villa Lucia! Sandra and team were extremely helpful and made us feel right at home. The house and surroundings were beautiful. The house was clean and easy to navigate. We’d highly recommend!!

Joelann was a fabulous host! She was super friendly and helpful. The house was very comfortable and clean and the backyard was charming. The deer in the neighborhood were like everyone’s pets! They roamed from house to house and didn’t fear our dogs. We enjoyed watching them from the hot tub!! We will definitely go back if our daughter stay stationed at Fort Cavazos.

We loved our time at your place. The views are breathtaking and the home itself is beautiful. Everyone who came for our family gathering complimented how beautiful your home is. Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your lovely lake house.

Bluebonnet Ridge was everything that our family could of asked for. This was our 2nd annual Thanksgiving get away since the brothers are scattered to the winds but Bluebonnet ridge made it feel like we were back home. The kitchen is more than well equipped for Thanksgiving dinner and there was more than enough room for all of us. Thank you for hosting us.

Nicholas’s home was warm, welcoming, beautiful and cozy. It was like home away from home for my family. A small detail we appreciated was the excellent lighting the home had to offer. We really enjoyed the comfortable living room in the home. The 75’ tv along with the comfortable 3 seater and 2 seater recliners were perfect for a nice movie night after being out exploring all day. We also appreciatd that H-E-B and Wal-Mart are both 10-12 minutes away from the home. The kitchen’s open spacing, along with the appliances and dining-ware available made it easy for us to make a home cooked meal. Check-in was easy and straightforward. There were also only a couple of house rules before check-out that were very rational and straightforward to follow. Nicholas was a wonderful host. We had a question regarding an area of the home and he responded right away; within 3 minutes for us to be exact. The home is in a nice neighborhood that also seems to be quiet from our stay.

This home exceded our expectations. It was a perfect location to explore Salado. The rooms are open and bright. Plenty of space to relax.

We loved the bohemian themed unit number 2! The 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for us 2 couples. It was beautifully decorated, charming vibe, clean and very comfortable. Brooke left us a sweet note and snacks! I also appreciated the little amenities that one might need: blow dryer, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, coffee bar & bottled water, ice machine. Very close to the Shed restaurant and a brewery! We can’t wait to come back ❤️

Overall, a fantastic Christmas stay. Our extended family lives in the Salado area and this location was a quick drive to their place. The home was super clean and comfortable for our family of 4. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet. We headed out before and after dark both days we were there and the area was well-lit. Bedding and linens were all high quality and "very cozy" according to my youngest kiddo :) Our only hiccup was that I didn't see the pets under 10 lbs stipulation until the night before we left. We had to make a quick pivot and line up other arrangements for our dog. If it's possible to move that item closer to the top of the 'house rules' section of the listing that would probably be helpful for future guests. I just thought I'd seen all the rules after I'd expanded the list and scrolled, but it was the last one and I missed it. Would definitely recommend to others and will stay here again ourselves as long as we're traveling without the pup.

This is the second time we have stayed at Diane’s place. We love the location. It is peaceful and a quick 15 minute drive to everything in Belton. We were there for the state archery competition. Our son had two days of competition, and the first day he got food on his archery jersey. Diane was so kind to allow us to use her washing machine so he would have a clean shirt for the second day. The house is spotless and there is plenty of room to spread out, do some work if you need to, sit outside, etc. We will definitely stay here again if we are near Temple/Belton.

Such an amazing place, we felt at home and loved it. Seconds to the creak and so many awseome restaurants and shops. Perfect for us with a young child / would be the best getaway for a couple. Great night life so close yet cabin was quiet and calm. Loved it and can't wait for our next visit to Salado from UK. Carol was great with updating us before, during and after stay. The best host. We are sad to be home now!

This place was nothing like the pictures… IT WAS WAAAYYYY BETTER!!! in person…. I had a last minute cancellation for a place I had tried to rent to host my Generation party for my 90yrs old Grandparents…. I seen this place it was perfect!!! The smoker & bbq pit was perfect!! PLENTY OF SPACE for my family ….. My Grandmother used the bell that was in kitchen…to get our attention to eat… & she wants this location to be our annual meet up place …any time I had a question or needed anything, KYLE replied instantly…I can go on and on about this place …. Loved it will be using it AGAIN!!

Tere was so kind & responsive! Great amount of space for our of mothers & daughters staying for local horse show! We loved the dinner we ordered from Chef Lucy / so wonderful & highly recommend if you stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Aycock Springs Ranch. We are originally from Texas, now living in Colorado, and visiting home again for Spring Break. “Home” is Belton and Gatesville - this cabin is perfectly situated between both to pack in as much family time as possible while also enjoying the Texas country and bluebonnet season (Spring isn’t the same in Colorado) 😍. We enjoyed lots of wildlife - turkeys, fish, ducks, a myriad of small and large birds - and took advantage of the trails on the property for some exploring. The kids loved all the outdoor activities that were available (particularly cornhole and bocce ball). I would recommend packing some fishing poles - the kids loved fishing and skipping rocks in the massive private lake. Mornings sitting by the lake were so relaxing while listening to the birds and the ducks in the water. High recommend a stay here!

Kyle's place was super clean and gave us the perfect cozy cabin experience. He was quick to respond anytime we had a question or needed anything. Highly recommend!
