We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. We were surrounded by nature in a very peaceful environment. The house was equipped with everything we needed, was very comfortable with large windows to take in the amazing scenery. The coffee machine was an added bonus. We looked forward to coming back to relax after a day of exploring the island. Definitely recommend!

I don't even know where to begin to describe this wonderful experience. This was the first time in 15 years for my husband and me to visit Kangaroo Island, and the very first time for our 6- and 9-year-old children. Vivonne Bay was the perfect location, offering ideal access to all the places that captivated us, and we enjoyed every day in comfort. Adorable animals visited the ocean view throughout the day, and our children absolutely loved spending time with the cute wallabies and birds. Without a doubt, this has become one of our most treasured memories. The room was very clean, fully equipped with everything we needed, and we were able to stay comfortably without any inconvenience. Ian and Anne’s recommended handbook was also incredibly helpful. Even the meals at the nearby general store exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much!!

What a a wonderful place! Located less than a 5minute walk to the quiet emu bay beach and jetty, and only a 15minute drive from the main town, it was a lovely getaway in a clean and well equipped air bnb. Great views from the deck of the sunrise over the bay, and we saw pelicans and kangaroos every day. The hosts gave us heaps of recommendations prior to check in and were quick to communicate with. The house has a large securely fenced yard for the dogs to run around on. It was a beautiful week spent at Emu Bay!

We had a wonderful six days in this lovely home, enjoying Vivonne Bay and the island. The house had everything we needed, plus nightly visits from wallabies! The house was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped, and made a great base for exploring Kangaroo Island. We would stay again, and highly recommend it.

Endroit magique, au milieu de la nature. un point d'eau juste devant la terrasse attire les animaux , surtout les kangourous mais aussi les oiseaux. on déjeune avec eux, c'est merveilleux. Le logement est spacieux et très agréable. Dave nous a accueilli le jour de notre arrivée pour nous présenter le logement et tous les équipements. il s'est montré très serviable et disponible en cas de besoin. C'est vraiment l'endroit où rester à Kangaaroo Island.

Wonderful place to stay! Have nothing but positive things to say. Clean and extremely comfortable. Light and airy. Great beds! Kitchen has everything you need. Beautiful outdoor areas. As close as you can get to the magnificent Vivonne Bay beach. Just a 2 minute walk! We had a visit from a Wallaby and an Echidna in the front garden. Best place to stay to visit the South Coast attractions. Admiral's Arch, Remarkable Rocks, Hansen Bay, Seal Bay, Bales Beach. So much easier than travelling from Penneshaw or Kingscote! And what an absolute pleasure to return here after visiting these wonders during the day. Hosts were great at communicating and very helpful. Lots of information also at the house to guide you. If (when!) we return to KI we would absolutely stay here again and will be recommending it to everyone we know.

Fabulous stay at Kevin and Yvonne’s place at American River. Lovely home in beautiful setting. Loved extra like beach towels. Really thoughtful. Would def infinitely recommend.

We stayed at Sue's place for the last 2 nights of our 6 day honeymoon on Kangaroo Island. It was our favourite location and accommodation for the trip. The views are spectacular, the local kangaroos very friendly and the house beautifully decorated with everything you could ever possibly need. Close to beautiful beaches such as Snellings Beach and Western River Cove. We enjoyed an amazing lunch at The Fig Tree restaurant which is also very close to Sue's place and also enjoyed cooking on the BBQ at Sue's while enjoying the sunset. The house and location captures the essence of the best things about Australia, thank you Sue, we will most definitely be back, Anne and Tim.

The tranquility of the location is wonderful. Waking up to the sounds of nature, and wildlife surrounding 'Honey Eaters', gives you a sense of calm and peace. It's a great place to return to after a day's adventures around the island, particularly towards the South-West end. We would highly recommend Honey Eaters hideaway and hopefully will return in the near future.
