Lovely to enter the cosy cottage with the heating on for our arrival and the log basket well stocked with logs and kindling. The most stunning views from this cottage were a distraction from the TV - in fact we were tempted to rearrange the sofa to face the window! A few doors along from the local pub and shop but very peaceful spot with the nosiest neighbours being the birds! Stunning spot for skygazing at night too. The cottage is spacious, well equipped and immaculately clean. A perfect base for exploring the beauty of the area or just chilling out. I hope to return.

Great place to stay to explore Skye. Its private, peaceful and little things like a travel plug being available is thought about. From here it is easy to drive to all that there is to see, also the only bigger city Portree quite close. Stuart was on point with communication. Would stay exactly here again at another visit.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Very spacious living rooms and bedrooms.A grand hall and staircase. Big baths and a jacuzzi. 5 minute walk from the main square in Portree and has its own parking space which solves the parking problem in Portree. No problems with the heating, everything worked fine. Lovely welcome pack and greetings card. We highly recommend this place

A beautiful house that was a brilliant base for us as we did lots of sight seeing and walking/hiking. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Extra blankets for those colder nights. Easy parking for our two cars. The view from the living room was absolutely stunning and the stars on the less cloudy nights were spectacular. Definitely a great place to stay in Skye.

Great place, very peaceful and quite. Gelt very comfortable the place had everything you need. Hosts provided everything needed for the guests.

I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay for my girls trip. This place is centrally located, quiet w beautiful views of the harbor and a dedicated parking spot. Beds were perfect, showers and baths, living area and game room and we appreciated 2 dryers as we were a group of 4 ladies with lots of hiking gear. The welcome pack was great too, I've been trylng to find those seaweed chips everywhere to no avail! It was serene and peaceful right from walking in the door. Every amenity and direction had been carefully thought out and I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a respite while exploring Isle of Skye, just phenomenal. While quiet it's just a quick walk up the steps to take advantage of all Portree has to offer.

Joan was super responsive. Although her instructions were limited to 2 pages, she answered any question I had within minutes. The area is lovely and she recommended The Brewery, which is a great restaurant with a wide selection of beers brewed on the premises. She also recommended a local weaver, which was a highlight of our stay. The house had what we needed. The heating boost was easy to use.

Me and my partner stayed for one night and can only be described as felt like at home. The living room is very “cosy” with all the amenities you could need to enjoy an evening relaxing. We had been out checking the surrounding area and arrived around 7pm, we were delighted to find the property was pre heated along with immediate hot water. The property was very clean and overall we have no complaints. Sarah was a great host and we would stay here again if we are back in the area.

We dont live to far away, top of Caithness. Rugged and wild by the sea. I wanted from this trip quietness and little to no contact with humans! I am tired of socialising, tired of the world's doom and bloody gloom, This wee cottage is so peaceful and private. I barely left the house, reset my soul Lost track of day & time. Slept peacefully Such a pity I have to go back to the real world again! This cottage is a haven , Saul thanks for sharing. Liz Leon was all manly and took charge of the fire & dogs. Adriana’s cabin is a beautiful retreat from the world. Surrounded by some of the best old growth forest left in Scotland it is a magical part of the country. We were blessed with visits from the pine marten and a red squirrel. The cabin itself has a cozy 70s vibe, with an enviable sofa, and everything else you could need. We’re often visiting Torridon; we love Shieldag in particular, and this is the best place we’ve stayed.

Beautiful wee bothy, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped, especially the kitchen / cooking. Definitely more on the luxury end of the bothy options. Shower is small but a bonus having this inside the bothy so can't complain. oh yes and very warm even in the winter - highly recommend

We stayed 8 days at Jamie. The house location was beautiful, you could paddle board from the garden at high tide; it was on walking distance to beautiful places to walk and swim and to the local shop. The property, kitchen and bedrooms were very well provided with everything you need for the stay including things to do on a rainy day (books, games, TV,..). All the family had a great time!!

Everything as described on the listing. Very easy to find and Mary sent clear instructions. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you could need The beds were comfy and the shower good. No problems and very good value for the area. It’s August but being the Hebrides the log burner was lit on the last night and was lovely to sit in front of before bed

Lovely place to stay which very quickly felt like a home from home. I especially enjoyed relaxing by the fire in the evenings. The coffee grinder and beans were an unexpected bonus! The kitchen had everything I needed and I was delighted to find bubble bath in the bathroom.

One of the best places we’ve ever stayed at! The local neighborhood of Geary is beautiful and serene. The views from the bedroom and hot tub are stunning. The kitchen is super well-stocked. Michelle was very responsive and an amazing host! Would love to go back!

What an amazing place! This was perfect for us and our two young children. After a day of travel, the hot tub was a welcomed way to relax. The kids loved it too; something they were looking forward to after sight seeing. The second night we experienced a typical Scottish weather day, especially windy and wet, so the fireplace was in high demand. And the views just breathtaking. Although we didn’t have time to utilize, it was a surprise to have both washer and dryer available on site. Everything you need to enjoy your remote getaway. Highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem. Beautiful views, comfy bed and a great host. I’ll be back for sure!

We had a fantastic time at the cottage over the New Year. If anything the pictures don't do the place justice, and the stay was more than we hoped it would be. The cottage was easily accessible from the ferry when we arrived into Tarbert late at night, remote enough to feel away from it all, and still well located to enjoy the surrounds of Harris and Lewis. The fireplace and central heating ensured the cottage was warm and cozy even when the temperatures dropped below zero. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and had one unreal night with the Northern Lights putting on a display while we watched in awe for almost an hour. We had some decent snows at the tail end of our stay but the roads were kept clear and unfortunately we had to leave instead of being snowed in. Just a heavenly place. Hope to come back one day soon!

Beautiful tucked away cabin. If you want peace and tranquility, this is the place for you. Highly recommend hiring a car so you can get food shopping and also to get to start of walks. Views from the cabin and bird life are fantastic as is sunrise.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived - the house is spotless, comfortably furnished, cosy and very well equipped. It was a real joy to come back to every day after exploring the island. Gemma is an excellent host - very helpful and proactive, and made sure the hot tub was ready for us each evening (which was particularly appreciated when we arrived after a long day of travelling). The suggested itineraries and information about the local area was also great - thanks to this, we managed to spot whales at Tiumpan Head Lighthouse, which was just a short walk away. Our dogs also settled right in, and loved having the run of the garden. We’d love to stay again next time we’re in the area!
