Our family enjoyed our stay. Property is updated and modern with many small touches which we appreciated considering it is so far away from stores, specifically the kitchen and the little extras most hosts do not include i.e. zip lock bags, spices, coffee. Would recommend and return. Kids (ages 7-16) had a great time.

I was looking for a location to stop with my dogs on our way to our new home. I wanted a location that was safe and quiet, and Richard's home surpassed that. They have thought of every detail for you and your fur baby. I felt completely safe, and slept amazing. Would recommend for anyone to stay.

Our stay at this home was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautifully designed and impeccably maintained space. The home was not only aesthetically pleasing but also thoughtfully appointed with all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Initially, the home seemed compact at first, but it offered ample space for our family. Jennifer, our host, was OUTSTANDING!! She was welcoming and attentive to our needs! Though in a neighborhood, the property felt private and peaceful. In the mornings the view from the hot tub overlooking the lake was serene. The Gatorvator was a thoughtful feature, making the deck accessible for my elderly grandfather who has trouble getting around from time to time. It allowed him to be present during all the kids outside activities and not secluded, which we loved! This home exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to our next stay. Highly recommended!

Will boom again! Me and my husband live only an hour and a half away from Rebecca’s place. We wanted to get away for his birthday. I saw the soaking tubs at Rebecca’s place and knew it was the one. Close enough to town and far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. The bed was wonderfully comfortable the cabin was so lovely and comfy! And the sauna and soaking tubs gave us such a relaxing time! The drinking water is well water and Rebecca did warn us it wasn’t the best tasting. My only regret is I should’ve brought some bottled water with us. Was our first time using composting toilets, not a bad experience just different. :) We loved the surrounding trees and how peaceful and just wonderful the space was if you’re considering booking one of Rebecca’s cabins I totally encourage you to do so! Would love to return and book again in the future! Also she’s very quick to respond to messages as well!

Rebecca was a fantastic host and easy to communicate with. The cabin was nice with a great view of outside. The soaking tubs was the best part of the night and helped make a romantic setting. I'd recommend going here if you're looking for a peaceful quiet stay and enjoy the outdoors.

This gorgeous little cabin was the perfect for us! It was the first time my husband couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was and that’s saying a lot. Perfect driveway for a boat trailer. Highly recommend this spot.

We had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s place. It is so cozy and spacious. The lake is just across the street. The property has canoe, kayak, and everything you need to explore the lake. Jennifer is a friendly and responsive host. Highly recommended!

Jennifer and a staff member was/were incredibly responsive when we first checked in later at night needing batteries for the thermostat for a cold night ahead! This was our first trip to Caddo Lake, and we loved having the selection of all the canoes and kayaks available to try out. We also chose this cute house b/c as a family of four & a dog, we didn't want to share a wall with a neighbor/be too close to anyone- it was perfect! The Caddo Shores Cabins are all in a line/across the street from each other, and now knowing that, this one was still best for us. It was also convenient to be able to do our laundry (it startled us for a second with gurgling coming from the right sink in the large bathroom when the washer drained- so FYI to anyone in that bedroom AND if you start a load at night, lol). And there is a little storage shed/washer & dryer set up in the back of the property where staff come back & forth after a guest checks out, and everyone was kind and friendly. Will return! :)

Host was awesome! The house was amazing to stay in and very nice views of the water. We would love to stay again.

The cabin was beautiful and well appointed with everything you could need for a weekend getaway. Unfortunately the weather was nasty so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor amenities but we saw them and they looked inviting. The cabin was nice and cozy and we enjoyed our stay. Hosts were very responsive! Recommend!

We loved our stay at the Blue Heron! Jennifer was a great hostess that answered all of our questions very promptly and professionally! The house has a beautiful view of the lake and the dock was perfect to sit out on and enjoy the afternoons while everyone fished! Our daughter especially loved the canoes! We can’t wait to go back!

Cute cozy cabin. Very close to the historical downtown area with lots of great places to shop and explore. Love the town of Jefferson!

This was the retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city my family needed. The property was off the beaten path but very close to downtown shopping and food. It had plenty of area for the kids to run around and enjoy the beautiful bayou flowing in the back. Got to chat with other families at the communal fire pit while also maintaining our privacy. My husband and daughter tried fishing for hours, the current was very strong and kept stealing their lines but they made out with one catfish! We would love to go back!

This a great place to stay if you are on a budget. Close to Shady Glade resort which is where I launched my bass boat daily. Slightly inconvenient having to turn on the water and electricity when you get there spirit were dark. The lock box with the keys inside is hard to get shut when you put the keys back in. We had 2 bass boat rigs and they did fit in the yard but we had to do a little maneuvering to make it happen but it worked out. Does not have blankets in between the sheets and heavy comforter which may or may not be washed every time. I would have like to have a lighter blanket to sleep with as I woke up sweating each night. It did have a great air conditioner in the bedroom as well as in the kitchen. I would stay here again as these small issues were acceptable enough given the price we paid as I felt it was a good value.

Cute and well appointed cabin, with a big, beautiful deck! Comfortable beds, great view of the bayou and just minutes from town! Loved having easy access to the canoes as well. Thanks, Jennifer - you were a great host!

GREAT LOCATION UNDER PINE TREES ON A QUIET SPOT ON CADDO LAKE. PERFECT FOR KAYAKING RIGHT FROM THE PROPERTY INTO A SLEEPY RIVERLET THAT MERGES INTO STUMPY LAKE OR BIG CYPRESS. WE PLAN ON GOING BACK!

We spent three nights at Eve's cabin in mid-April. It was SO much more than listed, the photos don't do it justice. The house was spotless. LOVED the layout and it was decorated so perfectly, exactly as you would expect a cabin to be. It was just perfect for a weekend getaway. So peaceful and quiet. We spent most of our time on the deck, enjoying the peace and quiet. We fished a little, but mostly just sat and watched the water go by! We will definitely be visiting again.

The cabin was very clean with easy access to the water. Owner communication was great—we didn’t realize that the cabins were in an RV park when booking, but not a huge deal, everyone around was friendly and there were no late night loud parties. Cabin sleeps 4 comfortably, but probably wouldn’t recommend 3 couples unless you bring a blowup mattress as the couches don’t pull out. Overall, would gladly stay here again!
