Great base from which to enjoy the many delights of Newcastle. James couldn’t have been more helpful.

We had such a great stay! The location is perfect with a mall across the street and lots of restaurants and shops. The host was very responsive which was nice because we got in later at night. The place was extremely clean which is super nice when on the road! I would definitely recommend!

I’d rate these people as SUPER HOSTS with their friendly, informative and prompt communications. They supplied a fully documented guide for household equipment which was second to none. Also, simple instructions to gain entrance to property and even advice where to walk our dog. The apartment was immaculate and yet cosy — we had a great stay. Thank you Ben & Sarah

We have used Airbnb several times but have never had the friendly personal approach we had from Ollie . He was welcoming , engaging who exuded pride in what he was offering to his visitors. His willingness to offer his fabulous gardens to enjoy was very much appreciated I would highly recommend

A lovely ground floor apartment in a very quiet area. Great public transport links. Would happily stay there again. Also good to stay in a place where the washing machine has been cleaned properly and we were happy to put our clothes in there.

It was an enjoyable stay at the property with the location close to Where I was working. Comfortable beds, clutter free and just what we were looking for. Would recommend and book again

We had a great stay. The apartment was perfect - stylish, clean and had everything we needed - including some good board games to play. We were in Durham to look at the university and it was a great location to look around the city - an easy walk along the river. The host was so helpful - friendly and helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Thank you!

We’ve just got back from a lovely stay to celebrate my birthday. The Air BnB was spotless, really big and just perfect for what we needed it for. Kieran was a great host, really responsive, made us feel right at home and had some great recommendations. Will definitely book again if we ever come back!

Beautiful house in the upper part of Runswick Bay with easy access to the beach and Cleveland Way. It was perfect for our family reunion (six adults and 4 children). it’s a large dormer bungalow, maybe a little dated but with modern bathrooms and well equipped kitchen which were spotlessly clean. Despite it being the coldest weekend in Britain for 10 years we were cosy with central heating, extra oil filled radiators and wood burners. Susan was the perfect host with good communication and many thanks for leaving us plenty logs. The toys which are mentioned in lots of reviews were great for the children. They even ventured to the bottom of the garden to the play area which was fantastic but too cold to stay long. We would love to stay in this house again maybe in the summer months to take advantage of the beautiful garden, eating al fresco and taking in the views of the bay and Kettleness in the distance.

We were staying up there for my Sons wedding , then we stayed on a little over Christmas to see the children . The Ubers are amazing and I just downloaded the app ‘Uber eats ‘ as well and they can do a shop for you from the Coop ,Sainsbury’s and Tesco and more . Uber travel was very good and reasonable . Area of house is great for Newcastle , Durham or Bernard castle area . Rooms are a good size , beds comfortable. Walking for elderly parents was nice and they increased their fitness immensely , as the fresh air has helped them along with the trips to the countryside which is all around . Very Clean throughout . Comfy sofa and large chair. Great for a family . Garden is enclosed and very safe . Rachel has been a very kind host , and fast to respond to any querys , I would recommend the area and the home , the locals are friendly and there’s a Tesco express which has a bit of everything , in walking distance . Warm and welcoming, banister on stairs plenty of cupboards . A*

We enjoyed our stay in this property, it was decorated to a high standard and had a good amount of space for our needs. It had almost all the facilities we needed to celebrate Christmas (we needed to buy a few more trays for the oven but that was about it). One thing to be aware of that we missed when booking is that the bathroom is downstairs at the back of the house, behind the kitchen, which was a bit of a surprise as we didn't remember seeing that noted before booking, however didn't cause us too many issues during the visit. The only other thing to note is there were a few minor maintenance issues (missing/dead light bulbs for example) that should be fixed, however again this didn't cause any problems during the stay, just something that could be improved to fully bring out the potential of the space.

James and Mark were perfect hosts, always responsive to questions but not intrusive during our stay. The place is immaculate, very clean and comfortable and amazingly quiet for an apartment, the whole area is. Private parking which is a godsend as the visitor spaces are always taken and easy to check in, if staying in the area again I wouldn't stay anywhere else if it was available

We loved our stay at Barry and Sue's apartment. It was a perfect base for our time spent in and around Richmond. They are friendly and informative. The apartment was spotlessly clean, had everything you could need and parking was great. It was a five minute walk to the centre of town and there is a good selection of places to eat and drink. Can recommend No 29 Tapas and the Black Lion. A great Airbnb experience.

Lovely place to stay. Very clean and tidy. Nice area and very quiet, garden and hot tub were very private. Has everything and more that we needed. Paid for decorations for birthday party and it was above expectations. Left a little treat for the dog too which was lovely. Would 100% recommend, and would go again.

Apartment matched description. Two very nice bedrooms and great kitchen/lounge area. Chris was very helpful and communicative about both the accommodation and the local area.

Great place. Perfect for walking in to centre. Right near beautiful walks along river. Right next to train station. We went to York for the day on train and great train service. Karen is good to deal with, communications were excellent, and she picked us up from the train station which was handy. The flat is great, more spacious and more natural light than I had expected. Location is good, 2 minutes walk from the Baltic, close to the Glasshouse (both of which are worth a visit) and the Millenium Bridge across to the Quayside at Newcastle. There's a bus stop right outside the apartment block, and the Metro is only quarter of an hour away near the very large Tesco. Restaurants - Lui's was excellent; Babucho very good, as was Ravel Indian; Pitcher and Piano has great views by the Tyne, but was very noisy Friday and Saturday nights. The Hooch was a great place for a drink with nice music; Station East was very quirky. We went to Laing art gallery (good cafe too) which was very good, and the Cathedral. If you're adventurous, a 45 minute walk to Saltwell Park (buses are available) was worthwhile as the weather was great.
