Went and stayed 2 nights and was a very cosey and pleasent stay. It was a duck hunting trip so we left out very early both days with no issues Bonnie was very kind and made us at home and was very helpful with anything we needed.

Second time us and our dog stayed here same room always clean and in a great location I would recommend and we will be back

What a neat little spot! The space was perfect for our family of three. Close to beaches, restaurants, shops, and the ferry. Gracie, her place, and her art gallery next door encapsulate what makes the Outer Banks so welcoming and charming very well. Will 100% be back in the future.

Danielle and Travis’s studio was exactly what my family of 3 needed for a last minute getaway. It had everything we needed and the location was superb. Communication was top-notch and we look forward to seeing the final results of their renovations.

I had an amazing few days at Jayme's place. Everything was exactly as described. I look forward to returning. This may sound like a cliche, but it truly is a hidden gem. The apartment is spacious and welcoming. Perfect for a small family or getaway with a few friends. I was able to visit with my family, while having my own quiet space where I could work in the day and see my kids/grandkids in the afternoons and evenings. Just steps away, you can rent a bike and go anywhere. The area is also very walkable. A wonderful restaurant is also just steps away from the property. Everything is very close, including groceries, restaurants, and things to do. And, of course, there is a very easy short stroll to the beach so no worries about looking for parking :) Jayme is super friendly and helpful. It was a treat to meet her. I don't think I have ever met a host in person. I have been fortunate to have wonderful AirBnB experiences, but this has been one of my best.

Short easy walk to beach.

This was a great stay for a peaceful weekend! The view of the sound is incredible with beautiful sunsets, the house had everything we needed, the owners were very responsive, and it was within walking distance to both the sound and the beach while also being close to some great restaurants. Exceeded my expectations!

This is such a beautiful spot with welcoming helpful hosts. This was our second time staying there and we are looking forward to coming back.

Toes in the sand lives up to it's name. Incredible views of the ocean everywhere. We felt very much at home.

This house was perfect for our group of seven. There are three private bedrooms and 4 bunks in the fourth room which worked well for us. Kitchen amenities were great and the beds were very comfortable! We want to go back. The walk to the beach was short, though there was some serious dune erosion when you arrive at the beach, so did require some added effort to scale steep dune when carrying things to and from the beach (would prove difficult for anyone with mobility issues). Would highly recommend this house. Thanks Karl!

The home was spacious and clean. Stores, beach, restaurants, and activities all within walking distance. Highly recommend! Sandra was very responsive and the maintenance people were quick to arrive and address a burnt out light bulb even though we advised it wasn’t an emergency. Great place to stay and great people to work with.

The pictures don't do this place justice. It's an incredible location with more than enough space for 4+ adults and can easily fit more. Quiet, tons of natural light with phenomenal sunset views every night (sunrises not too shabby either). Comfortable furniture, good AC, great kitchen space and amenities. Enough kayaks and paddle boards for the Brady bunch family. Good shower pressure and internet. Master bed was very soft for those with bad backs like myself but stellar stay overall.

We had a wonderful stay in Avon! The house was fun, cozy, and felt very safe. We especially loved flying kites on the beach, watching the dolphins, and the beautiful sunrises every morning. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, and we hope to return someday!

My family and I just came back from a long weekend trip at Heads Above where we celebrated my mom's 60th birthday. Darren's place was the perfect background for this special family reunion. The views are spectacular, I've stayed on ocean front properties before but Darren's places felt like we were literally on top of the water - just incredible! Darren was also very communicative and stayed in touch from the moment we booked until we left. We feel so grateful to have been able to have our family in such a special place for this special location - thank you Darren and Claudia for providing such a special place where our family could create such unforgettable memories!

I had a wonderful stay at Tiny Aloha. I went to have a solo retreat- and this space was perfect for me. Everything was super clean and aesthetically, well put together. There is great attention to detail from the wood work, the construction to the furnishings and art work. I really loved the space. Tami was responsive, clear with her communications and super helpful. One of the best parts for me was the outdoor shower. It's Spring time, so it was a bit cool and windy while I was there- but it was still amazing and I was surprised how much I liked it. The hang out area below is really nice for when you need to get off the beach- a very relaxing area that has everything you might want. I also loved having use of the bikes and beach chairs. I would definitely return- only I'd bring my husband next time- he needs to try the outdoor shower!

Stayed for our first trip to the OBX. Unit exceeded our expectations from the photos. The two bedroom suites are on opposite sides of the unit which our two boys (10 & 17) loved. Very clean and comfortable. Felt like a home away from home. Kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were super comfortable! Only slight critique was a clump of hair in the drain in the king bathroom tub and the shower curtain looked moldy all along the bottom. For our active family there wasn’t too much for us to do in the immediate area other than water sports, which they tired of quickly. So we spent quite a bit of time driving to other towns. But, that was partly our fault for not doing enough research. If you’re looking for fishing, kite boarding, or just a quiet escape, this place definitely fits the bill!

There is a few things I want to mention this is a great place to stay but the elevator was turned off and not working. My father in law has heat issues and it was difficult for him, not sure why it was not working. The 2nd issue was the tubs do not drain which is most likely an issue with the complex not the unit. The host is responsive and the unit is a great unit. I did give it 5 stars and would recommend booking this location and will book again if in the area.

I only have positive feedback on this unit and the great customer service we received from the Vacasa team from booking to checkout. This unit is easy access, in a good location, has a great view, and was very clean and well maintained. Just the right size for a couple or small family . The complex, pool, hot tub and the boardwalk to the beach were all well kept and maintained. We highly recommend this unit and Vacasa to anyone looking to visit the area.

Very communicative, bare bones, just as advertised. The home was pristinely clean. The views were beautiful, gorgeous sound views from the balcony. The beach is just a short walk away and the pier is a 5 minute drive. Perfect location in Avon & Mike is super friendly! Be mindful that you will have to bring bath towels, but other necessities were supplied by the cleaners and lasted us through a full week. This was transparently advertised though. The living room is not quite as comfortable as we would’ve liked, but that’s just our preference. The rest of the house was very comfortable and we were pleased with the furnishing. The space is clearly well taken care of. Avon overall is a wonderful place to visit. The locals were probably the most friendly we’ve experienced in the OBX. The area is very remote and you can see the stars and even have a bonfire on the beach. Plenty of free parking and easy public beach access. Really good restaurants too. Highly recommend and we’ll be back!

Spotless, comfortable with the best hosts. Kitchen had everything we needed and bathrooms had lots of towels and the property was perfectly located in Rodanthe. I cannot say enough about our stay there and we cannot wait to come back! Extra thank you for finding our sons wallet and calling to let us know even before we knew it was missing.
