A beautiful place to stay, comfortable, Cheryl was a responsive host, leant us beach/ camp chairs for our visit. The photos don't do the house or surroundings justice, it's a wonderful place to stay. Great neighbourhood, the view of the bay changes all the time , with the tide and the weather, my favourite time of day was at the top of the tide when there was no wind and the bay was like a mirror. Lots to explore , beaches, waterfalls, swimming holes, thermal pools, mountains, gorges. We want to return in 2026, still so many places to explore.

Tracy is such a lovely host. Their home welcomed us with such a wonderful experience. We had always something to look forward each day. She was very responsive to our concerns and made sure that our stay will be an enjoyable one.

Tracey and Warren were wonderful hosts, we were very lucky to get delivered a delicious smoked fish platter, the setting was very peaceful and had spectacular views. Would definitely book again.

What a wonderful place to stay at the end of a long trip. Immaculate. You won’t want to leave. Quick walk to the beach and a beautiful patio within a garden overlooking the inlet sailboats. Shower and bathroom were very nice. The bed was very comfortable, I ended up sleeping for 10 hours the first night! It’s usually hard for me to feel comfortable somewhere due to my germophobia, but I had zero issues with this place. Highly recommend.

Amazing home full of art and stunning view, love the spa pool and the fire pit. The spacious areas make perfect for a weekend away with the family and friends. Yana was so nice and accomodating to our needs. The tv has Apple TV so you can connect your phone and watch movies. We definitely are coming back

If you are looking for an elegant 100 year old beach cabin, this place is for you! The location right on the beach provides stunning sunsets & a very peaceful setting. If you are looking to do some of the nightlights of Coromandel (such as Hot water beach, cathedral cove hike, hike to new chums beach), you may want to consider staying on the east side of Coromandel. The roads to get to these places are over an hour of very windy roads! The outside washroom was ok during the day, but a bit of a pain at nighttime as the kitchen door was noisy to open and close. We loved the kayak and boogie board. It would’ve been nice to have a Nespresso machine or coffee maker instead of instant coffee or the press.

Had an amazing time in this unique stay! Beautiful renovated train carriage with stunning surroundings. Recommend bringing bikes or hiking around the gorge as it is awesome. Shower was 10/10. Host was amazing, really friendly and helpful with heaps of local knowledge, recommendations and always ready to help when messaged.

Paula’s place was quiet, comfortable and clean. It is directly across the street from the beach which was absolutely beautiful. Her place is just as described if not better and the kitchen was very well equipped. Paula and her husband were very friendly and lovely to chat with. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future!

Whiritoa Beach House

The place was fantastic, communication great, location stunning. A proper kiwi batch, my family had an amazing time. Allison arranged for my elderly parents to get some help leaving after my father had a nasty fall. Such great local help. We are in Whiritoa every year, it’s a lovely community and one of NZs hidden gems.

Great little bach, very comfy and had all we needed plus toys for the infants with us, and bikes and kayaks available to use. Location suited us, just 5 minutes walk to the beach :) Hosts were helpful and flexible with our check in which we much appreciated!

This is a great location on the canal front with a view straight down the waterway facing north.The property has its own water access boat/jet ski launching ramp and pontoon which is really convenient. The pool ,spa and deck areas get plenty of sun and great views. The house was very tidy and larger than expected with plenty of areas for privacy if anyone needed that. The kitchen is equipped with all thats expected in a home to cook for a family group and theres a second fridge and kitchenette to use which is helpful. We would come back again for sure.

Nadine’s house was spacious and extremely well equipped. Great kitchen for a large family. The location is suburban but fine if you are basing your activities elsewhere as we were. The spa pool is a nice extra.

It’s a beautiful home that can accommodate lots of people. It should be noted that both master bedrooms and the main kitchen are upstairs. Two days was too short of a time to appreciate all the house had to offer.

Home was clean, tidy, comfortable and amenities as described. Very close proximity to the beach, lagoon and store. It was the perfect getaway for our family (teens and toddler).
