Had a wonderful weekend here with friends. The house and view are even more stunning than the photos. Plenty of space for everyone to do their thing and a great location to explore the South and West Lakes area. The directions and house instructions were clear and we had a wonderful meal at the recommended pub.

Gorgeous property in a great location, easily walkable from the train station, city centre and bus stops onto the university of Lancaster. Responsive and helpful host. comfortable beds and great facilities. Perfect for a stay with friends or a family.

We loved our stay - this is an excellent dog friendly option for those having a short break in The Lakes . The dog treats/blanket and flapjack/chocolate we received on arrival were a lovely touch. The car parking space reserved for the accommodation was a great addition as well. The location is great - between Windermere and Bowness towns - which are walkable or a few minutes in the car. Steve and Vicky were easy to communicate with and ensured all went well during the stay. We would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay. The home was exactly as described, very clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect, close to the city and restaurants. Check-in was easy, check-in instructions will be given prior to arrival. Parking available. We loved the garden in the backyard, very relaxing. The radiators stopped working in the evening, it was cold until morning and until we left at 9am. Little bit disappointed about that, as i was travelling with my parents and they came from the philippines which means they are not used to cold weather, we tried to check for the boiler, and found out that we can't turn it on, there was a note that says we are not allowed to regulate is as it has a timer, or otherwise we will be charged for that. Was not really a big deal for us, as it was only overnight but overall, we are very happy with our stay.

We loved everything about this place! The pictures do not do it justice there is so much more space inside, so lovely and cosy perfect for couples and dogs too. Could not be in a better location it is literally a few steps into the centre of Windermere. We will certainly be back in the summer! Thank you☺️

Simon’s place is fabulous. Luxurious, with everything you could need. Such a short walk into Bowness but so peaceful too, and those views! We had the best family short break and didn’t want to leave. Simon was a great host, start to finish.

We had a lovely stay at Francesca's home to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. 6 adults and 3 children were easily accommodated, and the space allowed us to have a fun catch-up. Fran's printed information sheets were great, and allowed us to make the most of our time there. Friendly, responsive host. We hope to be back!

We spent 5 nights here at the end of March and start of April 2025. We were really fortunate with the weather and took full advantage of the wonderful location: scaling Slight Side and Scafell on one day, riding to Coniston via the bridleway on another and 'bagging' most of the Coniston fells on another day via Wrynose Pass. We ate in on a couple of nights and also went to the Wainwright's for some pub grub, as well as Stoves for their evening menu. Simon and Belinda's place is very well situated in Great Langdale for all kinds of walks and rides, food and decent pints. The house itself is a lovely place to return to in the evening with easy parking outside for our van and once inside, everything is spotless, well equipped and cosy. We really appreciated all the helpful information on bike routes and walking routes and spent the late evenings by the fire pouring over the Wainwright books planning the next day's adventures. 100% recommended.

The caravan was in perfect condition, everything was easy to find and use and a great place to stay for a trip to Morecambe or Lancaster!

Denise was extremely helpful and approachable. She took the time to send a few messages to ensure we were clear on check in. Denise welcomed us and showed us to the lodge. The lodge was super clean, well equipped and Denise even supplied the basic condiments, tea, coffee, juice, milk with some welcome biscuits thrown in! The lodge was also dog friendly. The kids loved their bed room and we were all very comfortable. We had a great stay and the lodge more than met our needs. We plan to return.

Beautiful little cabin surrounded by stunning scenery, with many great places to visit within a short driving distance. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Andy provided lots of useful information and tips regarding the local area. We'll definitely be coming back again!

Lisa's caravan was absolutely lovely. We had an amazing time, so relaxing. The caravan is well equipped with all you need. I just wish we could of stayed longer. We will be back

A huge thank you to Jackie, John and Cooper 🐶 for everything during our stay this week. The accommodation was perfect for us and felt like home from home. The little additional touches were most appreciated. The location was perfect for walking our dogs, getting a train, walking into Kendal or getting in / out of Kendal by car. We would love to come back when we are next up visiting family in Kendal.

Cottage is lovely and in a great village, a short walk from a friendly pub that serves great food. Good base for travelling to the lakes and some lovely walks locally. Cottage is very warm and welcoming and our host Liz was brilliant , clear communication and very reactive.

One of the best air b and bs I have stayed at. Excellent central location. Very clean. Modern. So many plug sockets. A kitchen set up for cooking (fridge a little small). A wine fridge! A washing machine. Plenty of heating. Tasteful decor. Lovely touches such as local prints, map in the entrance, books, games. All the products were high end. TVs in every room (not that we used them). Plenty of heating for the cold months. Radiators helped to dry everything out between hikes. So many great shops and restaurants a few meters from the property. 1 reserved parking spot. Then on street parking between 6pm-10am (not a problem in the off season). Can use parking disc provided by local stores for an extra free hour as needed. Everything was really high quality and there were supplies in reach for if things ran low. Alexa. Salt, pepper, oil, foil, Tupperware. Honestly 10/10. The only thing was no shampoo/conditioner/body wash - not an issue, but useful to know so can bring your own!

Absolutely fantastic stay! Lovely and clean, cosy with everything we needed which made it so easy to relax. So much information was provided, when we got stuck we could work everything out for ourselves. The property was ready early and I got a message to say we could check in early which was super handy as we were ahead of schedule. Would really recommend as this is a great location to the lakes!

Lovely little cottage that had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Comfy bed, great shower with super nice shower gel, and lots of useful bits and bobs in the kitchen. Lovely surprise to have a bottle of Prosecco and cookies left for us too - thank you! Perfect location for walking into the village, eating at Rogan & Co and exploring the Southern Lakes. We went to Netherwood Spa for a 90 min Thermal Journey which is a 10 min drive, highly recommend after a day of walking! Would definitely come back and stay here again.

Lovely cottage, very clean and spacious with 2 really good sized double bedrooms with very comfortable beds (better than many other AirBNB's!). Shower over bath was also of an excellent standard and the central heating works well. Large, recently refitted kitchen, which for once is not missing that useful utensil you were expecting to be there. Full size dishwasher, washing machine and and large fridge freezer all made the stay more enjoyable and without challenges to "make do without" anything. A good sized desk for any work or browsing on the computer is a nice touch. The area was very quiet. Good sized off-street parking but truly only for 1 car not 2. Good guide to the surrounding areas with plenty of walks, something you do not always get these days. Mobile phone signal virtually nonexistent but once your phone is linked to the wi-fi then your phone can do everything with the cottages excellent wi-fi. Recommended without hesitation.

What an amazing place to stay. Beautifully presented cottage in amazing surroundings - so peaceful and relaxing. Also great access to wonderful hikes in the Lake District. Sean was a great host with fantastic communication. Could not recommend enough!! Would love to go back :-)

We loved Leo’s hideaway and Staveley it had everything we needed and more. It was also nice to come back ‘home’ to a peaceful village away from the crowds of Boness etc.
