Really loved staying at Scott’s place. It was just what we needed for our three person family. Kitchen well stocked equipment wise. Beds were good pillows were great. We loved the outdoor shower. Nice rocky beach nearby to watch the sunset. Scott was very responsive and knowledgeable . Hoping to stay again in the future, coming back to Colorado was hard!

We had a great stay. The pictures matched the space and we enjoyed the convince to Volcano. It was plenty of room for our family of 4 with comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped and the grocery store was close. The host was welcoming and left some local touches such as a tour book, recommendations, and fresh citrus. I recommend this spot for those looking to stay nearby to Volcano and Hilo and enjoy the natural environment.

This is a perfect little spot for a vacation or if you have family in town. The power went out for a couple of hours and Malis met us at the door with a lantern. She was friendly and responsive, considerate and kind. The space itself is adorable with a comfortable bed and a wide variety of appliances. I highly recommend!

Doug's place was everything we were looking for. A good location between volcanoes national park and Kona. Very quite location. Would come back again.

We stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect! The studio was spacious, spotless, and so peaceful—exactly what we were hoping for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we woke up each morning to a gorgeous view of lush plants and nature. It truly felt like a private retreat, away from any noise or distractions. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing, and beautiful place to stay, this is it! We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our honeymoon. Highly recommend!

We stayed just one quick night here after landing on the island. It was a great little space. Very clean, seemed brand new, convenient to town, and you could see the ocean from the cute front porch. The bed was very soft, like a cloud you melted into. Normally I don't like soft beds but this one was nice. It is a stand alone space but wasn't quite as private/secluded as I thought. In case someone wanted more privacy, but it wasn't an issue for us. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We loved our time at the guesthouse! Everything was as described in the online information. Karrie and Kevin were kind and helpful hosts. Scout, their dog was a perfect ambassador for their home! We loved being a short distance away from the busy downtown of Kailua-Kona and the views of the ocean and downtown were spectacular. We felt comfortable and welcome here. We would love another visit sometime!

Annette's property was in a great location for visiting all the things we wanted to see. She was responsive to any request we had. We had a great time staying at their guest house.

My stay was magical - exactly what I was looking for. Her place is simply an amazing location - a very undeveloped area in a rainforest right on the ocean. The sleeping accommodations were wonderful, and the kitchen had everything that I needed for my stay. I spent 11 memorable nights there. It was a definitely a "glamping" type experience - perfect if you are looking for a quiet, reflection-filled nature immersion experience or retreat.

A few features that may not be evident from the description and reviews of the studio unit: (1) The studio unit is detached from the main house and the small deck outside the studio unit is surrounded by fencing that provides additional privacy. (2) If you are someone who prefers to cook meals to save money while traveling, you will find that the studio unit has all the items needed for cooking and serving meals (electric skillet, electric grill, hot plate, and plenty of pots and pans as well as serving ware). However, the refrigerator is a dorm sized refrigerator, so if you are someone who cooks with items that need refrigeration, beware that the amount of items you can place in the refrigerator will be limited. (3) There is lighting along the pathway that leads to the studio unit which is very helpful if you arrive back to the studio unit at night.

An excellent getaway location! Brings you tranquility and peace! A secluded oasis that made one night feel like a weeks stay! A truly restful location that restores your energy and vitality! The gardens, ponds, and waterfalls on the property are amazing. The landscaping to showcase all aspects are second to none. The beauty of the location is enhanced by the meticulous care taken by the owners. A true gem that we can’t wait to return to.

Beautiful and peaceful property. If you are looking for a nice quiet location, this is the perfect spot. The neighborhood is beautiful and you can walk to Shipmans beach from the front door (highly recommend this beach).

The cottage was cute and welcoming. We had great time there while enjoying travel around the Big Island. Andrew was a great host. Anna

helpful host and nice house. Everything is perfect except for some cockroaches intruders. Highly recommended for those who love immersive experience in nature but also want to be close to amenities like restaurants and stores.

We stayed two nights here while we explored the Volcano National Park. It was such a convenient location and had absolutely everything we needed. This place is fully stocked and absolutely spotless. You should give your cleaner a raise!! As it gets a little chilly at night in this area plus with the rain during our stay the heater/fireplace was really nice. We were able to head back to the park after dark and see the crater glowing and even lucked out and saw some eruptions. We loved that we could come back to the airbnb during the day and make our own food and save some money that way. 100% would recommend and rebook if we were to come back!

The view is incredible. It’s a few degrees cooler than Kailua-Kona so it is more comfortable. Michael and Amanda are great hosts and the most enjoyable to talk with. The French Press was a unique touch that shows they go above and beyond to provide a peaceful relaxing environment.

I really enjoyed staying at Christine’s place. It was such a joy to wake up to alpacas grazing in the yard. Christine was super responsive and took the time to introduce me to her animals. The area is beautiful, and I enjoyed early morning walks to Rice Park.

Joe has made sure that his space offers an impeccable slice of paradise and is great value for the luxury on offer. When you're in the garden by the pools you really feel like you have a little resort all to yourself. The sunsets from the front lawn and living room are incredible. The house had everything that we needed as well as extra beach/pool/snorkeling equipment that we weren't expecting. Joe also provided a high chair and crib for our baby which were both of great quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back.

Julya was a fantastic host with great communication, customer centric service mentality providing timely responses. We loved our stay in the home which was very well maintained and Julya ensured every step on the way that all our needs were met and our stay was smooth. Julya provided all the needed info about the home prior to our travel timeline which was very helpful for us to understand when we got there. We absolutely enjoyed the home and would love to come back again!

Very nice and responsive host, the house is spacious for a family and the views of the night sky is very beautiful too!

Long and Saki are terrific, gracious hosts of a very sweet cottage in an absolutely beautiful setting with views of Makena to West Maui to Haleakala. The sunsets are unobstructed and the amenities well beyond the norm with coffee, in season and on site fruit, toiletries, and ocean gear, chairs, umbrellas and towels galore. The South Kihei area is close to great snorkeling sites (love Ahihi-Kinau natural area reserve) and within easy reach of many of the island's wonders. This was our second time staying at Long and Saki's cottage and we are already planning when we can return.

This is our 3rd time back to Charles's place and we are always so happy to get there. Everything is as promised and super clean. We really enjoy using the BBQ, the 2 lanais and there is lots of room for everything. Charles & Kathy are very welcoming & friendly hosts and we can't wait to come back again!! =)

I would absolutely stay at The Ohana again. It’s a charming and super comfortable space. I loved sitting on the porch in the evening in the lovely garden, listening to the coqui frogs. Bonus, the location is killer. A short drive to a cute tiny town with coffee shops and restaurants, and a short ride to several gorgeous beach options.
