The accommodations are simple. The bed was very comfortable with AC in that room. The unit was clean and simple but reasonable for the location - very close to kayaking and snorkeling. There were plenty of towels, hot water, easy cooking facilities, private quiet and safe. If you want upscale fancy - go to a hotel. If you want some space to spread out for a reasonable price by the beach this unit wins my vote! Loved our stay and we will return.

We already want to return. The house was easy to find and enter. Private and beautiful surroundings. Close to the National Park. It was exceptionally clean and set up for littles too, with a huge game room downstairs. Its just as the pictures description. The only thing that caught us off guard was at checkout there were some simple chores. As a mom of 2 littles, I was looking forward to not having to do any chores on our stay. One of the asks was to haul off our own trash. We had already paid a cleaning fee and had zero space left in our small car that was packed to the rim. The host was understanding about it. The check in-out time was short for one night booking from 4pm-10am. We were able to get the house earlier so our littles could nap. And get dinner. We recommend this place and would like to come back here. We were also gifted a 100% cotton tote bag. For me, the little notices of cotton material for the tote meant a lot. Overall I would give this place 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Very clean and obviously recently renovated space. You’re on the second floor and there is another unit directly below you. It’s a beautiful view out to the ocean, but lots of twists and turns to get there.

Wonderful place for our several days there. Fantastic view and very spacious. Several restaurants were in town. Waimea had few tourists but still was close to several small out-of-the-way towns we otherwise would not have thought of to visit.

We have stayed on the property many times, and the description and location of this unit is really ideal.

We arrived at Rhonda’s on Christmas Eve and she was there to greet us and show us around the space - she had a little tree with lights set up and a lovely wreathe on the door. There was also delicious banana bread and her homegrown lilikoi waiting for us inside. The space is so comfortable and well decorated- we felt immediately at home. Very convenient to walk to a few restaurants as well. Even though the house isn’t on a main street at all, if you keep the windows open (and why wouldn’t you!) you may experience a good bit of noise in the early morning (roosters, garbage truck, general people sounds). We had a lovely time enjoying breakfast on the porch and would happily stay at the Gratitude BnB again!

Kili was an amazing host! The house was perfect for our family, with a well-stocked kitchen that had everything we needed to cook, plus so many thoughtful breakfast goodies from Kili that made our stay even more special. The patio was a highlight—perfect for enjoying meals outside in a peaceful, tranquil setting with beautiful views. The home was calm, comfortable, and had everything we needed for both relaxation and work. We had a fantastic stay!

Die Unterkunft hat wirklich alles übertroffen. Auf den Fotos sieht man leider nicht viel vom Interieur der Unterkunft. Der Kühlschrank war gefüllt mit Frühstücks Utensilien und verschiedenen Sorten von Milch was sehr angenehm war. Kaffee war auch genug da. Im Bad waren die Schränke ebenfalls mit nützlichen Utensilien ausgestattet. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Das absolute Highlight war die liebevolle, herzliche Art von Viviane. Sie spricht französisch, deutsch und englisch. Die Aussicht war grandios und wir haben uns jeden Morgen gefreut dort zu frühstücken. Wir wollten nicht mehr weg und somit werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Es war wunderschön. Mahalo an Viviane. Liebe Grüße Ramona und Daniel

Our stay was wonderful. The views were incredible and we felt right at home. They had all the extra you might need visiting Maui and if we could have we would have stayed another week. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely loved staying at Bailey’s place in Puako. It was so tranquil and gorgeous with the sound of the ocean at night and the amazing birds in the morning. The unit was very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. We were 3 people - our teenage son slept on the pull out couch in the living room - you do have to walk through the bedroom to access the bathroom. This was fine for us. I loved the screen porch!! Bailey left so much info that helped us and was responsive to any request. We would happily come back here again.

Maxx was very accommodating to us as there was hiccup in renting out the Escape to Mauna Loa Village and gave us another space to spend the rest of our trip. It was very clean, easily accessible, and a perfect location for exploring Kona. I would definitely love to book with Maxx again in the future!

Magnifique endroit ,très calme avec une magnifique vue sur l’Océan et nous avons eu la chance de voir les Baleines. Une cuisine complète , une litterie comfortable.

Lovely home! I was expecting just a room in a house like the description but the space has its own entryway, bathroom, and dining area so it feels like a separate studio apartment. It was beautiful and clean. Would recommend to those wanting to stay close to Volcano National Park!

Such a beautiful hidden gem, nestled in the forest just outside of Hilo. It's about a 3-minute drive to "downtown" Hilo, which has a surprising number of very good restaurants for such a small town. Cody's place has only 3 units, and a balcony that includes a shared breakfast area (self-serve) and views of the forest and small waterfall. Bring your bug spray! Overall, a comfortable, beautiful place convenient to Hilo, Volcanoes National Park (an easy 45 minute drive), etc. We are glad we found it!

Wir hatten bereits vor der Anreise guten Kontakt zu Maxi und auch während des Aufenthalts war sie immer da. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber, zweckmäßig groß und bietet alles, was man braucht und Maxi gab uns zusätzlich noch Strandstühle, Handtücher z.B.. das Frühstück war zwar immer fast gleich, aber lecker, selbstgemacht und ausreichend. Maxi und Woody sind herzliche Gastgeber, die auch lokale Tips auf Lager haben. Uns hat es super gefallen und falls wir je wieder nach Hawaii reisen, kommen wir gern wieder. Mahalo 🤙🏻

She was always responsive, kind, and genuinely cared about my comfort. The place itself was clean and cozy, but it’s the host’s warmth that made this experience unforgettable. Highly recommend – I'd love to stay again!

The place had a water view while also surrounded by beautiful fruit trees. It was a pleasure to just sit on the lanai and look at the surroundings. Check in was very straight forward and flexible; we came at 10pm but that wasn’t a problem because you can just let yourself in. The place was also right on Hana highway, 3 minutes away from a country store where you can buy food, and 7 minutes away from Twins Falls. Overall a really nice place.

Steve and Su were wonderful hosts. Gave us recommendations and were very hospitable. Would definitely stay with them again!

i came here to recenter myself and this was a perfectly peaceful indoor/outdoor cabin set in the midst of a banana grove to do it in. there are no frills. it is very much as shown. only 25 mins outside of downtown hilo if you need a people/activity fix and there are parks and beaches and lots to do nearby including a farmers market every tuesday. this is a charming location and akiko (who is a gem all on her own) invites you to do sitting meditation, gentle yoga and to visit as you like. sharing the kitchen/bathroom is fine -- there's only one other guest to share with. it's a lovely place and i recommend it if you're not a high maintenance person and just need/want a peaceful space to be. mahalo akiko! mahalo.

Lovely and cozy suite, suitable for all vacation trip and honeymoon lol. Me and my friend really enjoyed the stay there and were impressed by it!
