Fantastic and lovely location and walkable to great snorkeling as well as petroglyphs and coastal walks. Also short drive (or bike ride) to great swimming and/or body surfing beaches. Also a nice laid back little neighborhood store near by. The place is sweet and feels like a wonderful tropical paradise. Loved having an outdoor shower (& indoor, too!) and it was nice to have AC in bedroom for sleeping. But ceiling fans also keep the temperature comfortable! Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Kerrine's place! The grounds were beautiful and we loved seeing the animals. The location was perfect for exploring Volcanoes National Park. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept great! Thanks for having us!

This is a perfect little spot for a vacation or if you have family in town. The power went out for a couple of hours and Malis met us at the door with a lantern. She was friendly and responsive, considerate and kind. The space itself is adorable with a comfortable bed and a wide variety of appliances. I highly recommend!

We stayed just one quick night here after landing on the island. It was a great little space. Very clean, seemed brand new, convenient to town, and you could see the ocean from the cute front porch. The bed was very soft, like a cloud you melted into. Normally I don't like soft beds but this one was nice. It is a stand alone space but wasn't quite as private/secluded as I thought. In case someone wanted more privacy, but it wasn't an issue for us. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We loved our time at the guesthouse! Everything was as described in the online information. Karrie and Kevin were kind and helpful hosts. Scout, their dog was a perfect ambassador for their home! We loved being a short distance away from the busy downtown of Kailua-Kona and the views of the ocean and downtown were spectacular. We felt comfortable and welcome here. We would love another visit sometime!

This place is awesome! Karen and Ron are so kind and have built/designed this place with such passion! It’s darling! Note that it does have open spaces to the elements as noted. You may be in the company of a gecko or spider- but being in Hawaii, you encounter the same all over. We did not have issues with mosquitoes at all. The serenity you feel at this place is beyond anything! Steps from Manini and kayak rentals is convenient- and totally shouldn’t be missed. Ron and Karen are super friendly and attentive and gave us a bunch of things to do. Morning coffee on the porch or a sunrise walk to the beach- nothing better! This place is a gem!

My husband and I needed a place to stay for our last night on the big island. This place was perfect for us. It was nice and quiet, and very clean. Autumn included anything and everything you could need for your stay. There were toiletries provided, as well as coffee, sugar, creamer, and spices for cooking. Though we didn’t use them, I noted that she provided beach towels, extra bedding, a snorkeling set, and floats for the beach amongst other things. There were even a couple of beach chairs. The Wi-Fi worked well and we loved having a TV to watch. This place was super cozy and we would stay again. The short walk to the bathroom was not an issue at all, it doesn’t even feel like you’re walking outside in my opinion. Though there is another Airbnb and Autumn lives on the property, we felt that we had plenty of privacy. We would absolutely recommend staying here if you’d like a nice place to relax after a long day.

My stay was magical - exactly what I was looking for. Her place is simply an amazing location - a very undeveloped area in a rainforest right on the ocean. The sleeping accommodations were wonderful, and the kitchen had everything that I needed for my stay. I spent 11 memorable nights there. It was a definitely a "glamping" type experience - perfect if you are looking for a quiet, reflection-filled nature immersion experience or retreat.

Had a fantastic stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly and communicated proactively, making everything smooth and easy. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach, which made our trip even better. They also provided everything you could need for a beach day, including surfboards, snorkels, beach chairs, and umbrellas. Highly recommend!

An excellent getaway location! Brings you tranquility and peace! A secluded oasis that made one night feel like a weeks stay! A truly restful location that restores your energy and vitality! The gardens, ponds, and waterfalls on the property are amazing. The landscaping to showcase all aspects are second to none. The beauty of the location is enhanced by the meticulous care taken by the owners. A true gem that we can’t wait to return to.

This place was AMAZING!!! The location was perfect, place was roomy, spotless, and so many details in the unit. Jordan was always available to communicate with and everything went super smoothly. Very happy I chose Jordan’s place over anything in town. Close enough to groceries, cafes, and Volcanoes National Park but so private and quiet. Having the trailhead to Shipman’s Beach just steps away was the icing on the cake. Definitely would stay here again and highly recommend booking it!!! Thank you Jordan and family and májalo

We had a great stay at Andrew’s place. It was extremely clean with great amenities, and convenient to beaches, gym, supermarkets (less than 15 minutes) and quiet and peaceful. Andrew let us borrow his beach equipment (chairs, umbrella etc) which was really helpful. It is also only about ten minutes to a coffee plantation, and convenient for day-trips including to Mauna Kea (about an hour drive). I highly recommend this AirB&B.

The view is incredible. It’s a few degrees cooler than Kailua-Kona so it is more comfortable. Michael and Amanda are great hosts and the most enjoyable to talk with. The French Press was a unique touch that shows they go above and beyond to provide a peaceful relaxing environment.

Everything needed for a comfortable stay was included! Kitchen supplies were great! Having a small cooler that we could pack and take with us on day trips was wonderful! Bathroom shower was heavenly, and the bathroom was fully stocked. Patio felt very private. We enjoyed coffee out there every morning. The bed was very comfortable and the decor was simple, pleasing, and relaxing.

We had a lovely stay at Cottontail Cottage for 5 days. The cottage was clean and well-equipped with a kitchen and lovely furnishings. We enjoyed the cooler weather, farm environment, and the animals in our backyard. As hikers we loved the access to Haleakala and the trails, and everything else was around a 40 minute drive away. Christine was also kind enough to give us a tour of the farm animals, which was a highlight of my trip as an avid knitter! Such a serene environment and we'd love to stay again.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, the pools were awesome and kept the kids busy when we weren't out touring, the hot tub was big and had beautiful surroundings, waterfalls, flora and fauna, lots of beautiful birds all around, the home was spacious with plenty of room for us all, big bathrooms, very very nice, would stay here again if we can book it!

Long and Saki are terrific, gracious hosts of a very sweet cottage in an absolutely beautiful setting with views of Makena to West Maui to Haleakala. The sunsets are unobstructed and the amenities well beyond the norm with coffee, in season and on site fruit, toiletries, and ocean gear, chairs, umbrellas and towels galore. The South Kihei area is close to great snorkeling sites (love Ahihi-Kinau natural area reserve) and within easy reach of many of the island's wonders. This was our second time staying at Long and Saki's cottage and we are already planning when we can return.

A quiet, cool spot to get away from the crowds and beach area. We enjoyed the temp drop when you climb in elevation to the house. The area seemed very safe and I never worried about theft or trouble. Nice area with nice people around the house. You will be about 20 minutes from Costco and are at a central starting point to go north or south. We didn't spend a whole lot of time at the house other than to sleep and be out enjoying the Big Island.

This is our 3rd time back to Charles's place and we are always so happy to get there. Everything is as promised and super clean. We really enjoy using the BBQ, the 2 lanais and there is lots of room for everything. Charles & Kathy are very welcoming & friendly hosts and we can't wait to come back again!! =)

I would absolutely stay at The Ohana again. It’s a charming and super comfortable space. I loved sitting on the porch in the evening in the lovely garden, listening to the coqui frogs. Bonus, the location is killer. A short drive to a cute tiny town with coffee shops and restaurants, and a short ride to several gorgeous beach options.
