Fabulous holiday home with an amazing outdoor area with lake views, pristine gardens and the house was just lovely. Quiet location, comfortable dark bedrooms, loads of space for a family group to share and spread out. We cooked both nights and used the bbq too. Plenty of pots, pans, glasses etc., and all appliances were clean and in good working order. Communication from the host was great, both before and during our stay. We could’ve stayed all week…didn’t want to leave! Hopefully be back in the future.

Loved staying at this place with thw wonderfull view. Felt very much at home and enjoyed the privacy and the tips for walking next to the river. Would love to come back for a longer stay.

Redecorated Bach close to the lake + new spa pool

Hosts were very responsive and accommodating. The backyard was gorgeous and you can view the lake from here and there are cute lights around the back porch. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach to watch the sunsets followed by the hot tub afterwards! Highly recommend!

Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful home. The space was calm, inviting and some nice thought put into the plants and furniture placings. Very cosy. Just the right place to get some rest after busy days at HOY.

We had a wonderful couple of days at Taupo treats! The apartment was very private and was a delight to stay in. We loved the outside space and chandelier lighting, the outside bath which we used and of course feeding the chickens! The place was pristine and spacious and the cooking and washing facilities were very useful. The walk to the lake took us 20 minutes and to town around the same. There were some great recommendations also on restaurants and things to do in the area. We would certainly stay there again if we return to Taupo

Fantastic house nestled under the stunning cliffs and just a short walk away from beautiful Kairakau beach. This was our second stay here and it was another wonderful stay. There is plenty of room in the house for 3 couples with lovely big living/dining areas and a spacious kitchen, and having three bathrooms is a real luxury. Stephanie was very responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a long weekend escape at the beach with friends or family!

Kath's place is like a home away from home and would be great for a longer stay. We really appreciated all the thoughtful extras and very well equipped kitchen. The information pack is very thorough and well thought out. Very hand to all the local attractions but still very quiet and peaceful

Absolute Lake Front - 5 Mile Bay

Lovely location on the lake. You do get people walking by, on public path in front of the house, but really was not a bother to us. It was never intrusive in any way, instead relaxing to watch from the deck area or tucked away in lounge room. Plenty of room in the house. Very neat and tidy. Well stocked kitchen for utensils. BYO milk, butter, coffee beans but supermarket a just a 7 min drive, so easy to get these items or anything else you may want. There was tea bags and instant coffee, olive oil. We found it to be a very relaxing place with beautiful views/sunsets.

one of my all time favourite holiday stays in the north island, loved sharing it with friends this time. Simple in the best possible old school kiwi bach sense, but with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Wonderfully remote to get away from it all, beautiful scenery and fantastic outdoor space to relax in any weather.

We loved our stay here, lots of space and had everything we needed. Trudie was great at answering any queries and instructions were easy to follow. A great little spot on a quiet street and super close to the beach and the shop. Will definitely be returning!

The Cowmans Cottage was perfect for our stay, very comfortable, clean and the surroundings were so private and peaceful. Check in was easy and communication with the host was excellent. As local from the Wairoa district it was a excellent get away from everything. Location was on. Walk away to the beach. Nice quiet area. Enjoyed sitting on the deck on the shade enjoying the beautiful weather that we had. 10/10 that’s all I needed

Pete's house is in a nice area of Gisborne. It has a well equipped kitchen, beautiful garden, and the house is even more spacious than the photos made it look.
