We had a wonderful Christmas week at Flagpole Cottage. The hosts' home was clean, welcoming and extremely well-equipped. We had everything necessary for preparing family feasts, having a wood fire, plenty of bathrooms and comfortable beds. Robin and Francine even left a beautifully decorated real Christmas tree for us the enjoy (and put our presents under), a very thoughtful touch. We enjoyed the hot tub and trampoline (we were lucky with the weather, cold but not rainy) as well as the local walks to pubs. We bought our Christmas turkey (ordered in advance) at the fabulous Flower Farm shop, which is nearby and is a great source for all things edible. Robin and Francine's guide to local amenities and activities is thorough and quite useful. Robin was very attentive and open to queries but everything was so clearly laid out we didn't really have any questions. One last thing - the gardens are exceptional - even in December! I was in awe - especially the topiary. The old yew trees! xx

A stunning property that's more than we had hoped for. Ideal location that's a walk away from the train and bus routes and Pevensey castle. Very clean and very easy to book with all the necessary information provided up front. Thank you!

Excellent séjour chez Sandra et Jerry. L’annonce de la maison est conforme. Piscine, terrasse et jacuzzi très agréable en été. Excellente communication avec Sandra. Si nous revenons en Angleterre en famille, nous reprendrons cette maison avec grand plaisir.

We had a great stay at Ducks Lodge! Keith was friendly and helpful, and the space was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was a perfect touch, and we loved having a place to store our bikes. Highly recommend!

Wendy-Jane was an exceptional host, her home was beautiful and very cozy, with a gorgeous and very friendly cat. We loved the surroundings and the scenery. Wendy had a stunning selection of books on her shelves and CDs in her collection. The home was perfect for us, and we would love to return. The hot tub is an great addition and it was lovely to chill out in at the end of the day. There's lots to do in the surrounding area with a very charming in right opposite the house and another pub down the road with an abadondoned castle next door. And a short drive from both Hastings and Eastbourne made for a perfect weekend get away!!

The Old Vicarage is a beautiful period style house set in extensive gardens with excellent facilities. The swimming pool is of the highest quality: heated with a fully retractable cover and a security fence to keep out wandering youngsters. The pizza oven and barbecue are easy to use and in a great setting near the pool. The owner (Karen) was very responsive and helpful. All the family, from toddler to grandparents had a great time. I have no hesitation in recommending the Old Vicarage for a relaxing, family oriented and sport filled holiday. Finally, thanks to Karen for being a great and accommodating host.

Place and setting were idyllic, beautiful, peaceful countryside spot, with a lovely walk to the pub. Clare was super nice and very helpful. Would definitely recommend 👍

The Annexe was a very special place to spend the weekend, enjoyed the hotub and then sitting in front of the log burner. Tracey was a lovely host and we can highly recommend a stay if ever your visiting this beautiful part of the UK

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hideaway. The view from the balcony and living room is stunning and the place itself has lovely furnishings and interesting artwork, and is very cosy and homely. The location is extremely peaceful and private yet only a 10 minute drive to Petworth or Pulborough for shops and pubs, making it very convenient. The welcome book had lots of useful information which we appreciated. You can tell a lot of love has gone into this place. Thanks so much

Ik verbleef een week bij Elizabeth om de omgeving te bekijken en vrienden te bezoeken uit de tijd dat ik au pair was in de regio. Bij Elizabeth was alles netjes en alles was aanwezig om hier een week te kunnen wonen, een huis van thuis. Fijn waren de melk in de koelkast, een voorraadje chocola en ontbijtgranen, koffie etc. en lekkers bij aankomst, heel attent. Wifi en Neflix waren uitstekend. Het enige nadeel was dat je 's avonds niet even een ommetje kon wandelen. Daar leent de omgeving zich niet echt voor, qua donkerte, en de wegen en straten in Lower Beeding.

We stayed overnight at Martin’s place for the marathon and it was a really convenient base. Everything as described and Martin was helpful and proactive before the stay to ask what we might need. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic location in historic setting with beautiful gardens and South Downs nearby. The Bowery is full of charm, yet well appointed with all mod-cons, and feels larger than in the photos. Caroline was very welcoming and quick to answer any questions or give useful advice on the area. Cat lovers like me will be happy to pet the 4 cats in the garden, but anyone allergic need not worry as they can be kept out of the cottage and are shy unless you make the first move. It was a joy to stay and we will certainly return again soon.

We were three families, a total of 12 people, who stayed at Pip’s house for a week. The house is spacious, very well equipped, and perfect for larger groups. We had everything we needed. The neighborhood is nice, and we enjoyed the walk into the city center. Pip is a very friendly and experienced airbnb-host, and she responded quickly to all texts. All twelve of us will highly recommend Pip’s house!

The Hive was an amazing find—true to the photos and description. I spent a week here and enjoyed every moment. It was peaceful, calm, and offered everything you’d want from a break away from the inner city. The hosts were genuinely lovely people too! I’d highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

We had a fabulous stay at Neil and Helen’s place. I took my three children aged 4,13 & 16 and two of their friends age 14 & 15, the kids barely used their phones, we played games, cooked and went on walks. No one complained about being bored, a truly special weekend ☺️ The house was comfortable and warm and we felt at peace there

We spent a lovely week at Alison's farm. Beautiful location near charming Ticehurst and Wadhurst (both have good Pubs), incredible views across open countryside and hills from the heated outdoor pool, which our daughter loved. Slides, swings and a trampoline bonus points with kids. Alison was friendly and helpful. The Shed itself is warm and comfortable, kitchen is kitted out for basic meals, and the two ensuite bathrooms are super spacious and have good showers with hot water plus bathtubs. There is so much to do in the area from beautiful walks, tastings at vineyards, to cyclyng in Bedgbury, boating in Bewl Water and seaside beauties Rye and Camber in the vicinity.

We hadden 4 fantastische dagen in het huisje van Caroline. De kinderen waren heel gelukkig met de chocolaatjes en zelf was ik helemaal in de wolken met alle prachtige bloemen die werkelijk overal in het huis stonden! De locatie was zalig rustig en een goeie uitvalsbasis voor een aantal daguitstappen. We sliepen als roosjes in de comfortabele bedden en werden elke ochtend wakker met het gefluit van de vogeltjes. Het aanwezige ontbijt was de kers op de taart want zo konden we rustig aankomen zonder al direct te denken aan de volgende ochtend. We raden een verblijf dan ook zeker aan! 😊

This house is absolutely fantastic. Our group of 9 including a teen and two 9-year-olds stayed very comfortably for a week with a typically English mix of weather and the house accommodated us amply. The spaces were all individual, relaxing and full of beautiful furniture and art, we loved the characterful high-ceilinged garden room and the sitting room big enough for all 9 of us to play games. All the first floor bedrooms were large with comfortable beds and generous storage, and the second floor attic with two bedrooms and a relaxing space between was a great little world away. The rambling garden and the tennis court, trampoline, warm pool and table tennis were a real hit with our group. Locally there was something for everyone, highlights including great walks from the house along the river and up onto the spine of the South Downs, and garden visits to High Beeches and Sussex Prairie Gardens. Enzo and Lucy are well deserved superhosts, we would return in a heartbeat.

Emma was very welcoming as we arrived. She showed us around and gave us perfect advice on how to get into town. The cabin was perfect for a weekend away. We found a swing attached to the trees and had great fun. The bed was like a cloud and the kitchen had everything you need. Would recommend to family and would stay again.

What a fantastic place to stay! We throughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return. From the cottages, the staff to the pool & jacuzzi .. absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t have hoped for more. We were a large party and asked for a later check out time. Kildare was very accommodating, which was very appreciated. Thank you Kildare!

We had a lovely stay, the little house was clean, cosy and warm, everything you need, we explored the area for walks. We walked to the local pub , The Fox Inn they where very friendly the food was nice. We went to the Parrot at Forest Green for a Sunday Roast which was great. Horsham is near if you fancy a potter around the shops and pick up some bits. Guildford was 30 minutes away also another lovely day there too. Thank you we enjoyed our visit.

Carmel was welcoming and had good advice on where to find local amenities. The facilities were clean and tidy. We had a good time and would recommend highly, definitely worth a visit if you like peaceful surroundings. Carmel was on hand to answer any questions we had whilst giving us the space we wanted. Amazing host.

Finn & Jon's place was everything and more we could have hoped for! The annexe is lovely, spacious and very comfortable. We particularly loved the games room and we are now hooked on a game called Pucket which we discovered there. The pool was fantastic and provided hours of fun. The gardens and surroundings were very tranquil and we had views of the deer just outside the property most days. Thanks again for a wonderful stay! We would highly recommend.
