Great place to stay if you are visiting York or the surrounding countryside. the pub opposite is very convenient if you don’t want to cook. There is a helpful folder of local business and things to do to help you settle in. Doug and Katrina are great hosts, I can recommend staying here.

Great base for exploring the area. Modern kitchen/bathroom, very well kitted out with anything you could need. Lots of nice places to eat within a short walk - we recommend The Bothy for breakfast/lunch.

An absolutely beautiful area to stay, the property itself is spotless and has everything you need to live in. Zero problems with noise and had the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. The owners are very friendly and it couldn't have been a better stay, will definitely be booking here again.

Fantastic stay at fairy glen. It was so beautiful and had so much to entertain our 3 year old! Hot tub was great too. Orla was a great host and replied to messages very fast. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at David’s apartment. Beautifully laid out & modern accommodation. David was very welcoming and clearly put a lot of effort into building and maintaining his property. It is a credit to him. We were there for one night only but would have no hesitation going back to visit again. Thank you David your hard work is evident and your local knowledge second to none. Maddy was so welcoming and lovely! She made sure I knew where everything was, how things worked and that I had everything I needed. The chalet was immaculately kept and very comfortable. Beautiful location not too far out of town with amazing views and so quiet and peaceful. Throughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend, the place is perfect!

Myself and my cousin had the most enjoyable stay. The hosts Danny & Deborah made us feel really welcome, and were very friendly. The lodge was clean, and tastefully furnished, and set in beautiful grounds, and had everything we needed. We stayed from Thursday 27th March 2025 - Saturday 29th March, and was furtunate enough to be blessed with wall to wall sunshine, so was able to take advantage of the beautiful weather. Perfection… peaceful and very private, was absolutely spotless and just what we were looking for especially being so close to the wedding venue that we were going to.

We had a really comfortable night resting on our way along Offa’s Dyke. Nigel has plenty of advice for us. Also makes a cracking packed lunch. He was super to communicate with before our stay and happy to help with our plans. And great recommendation for the Dinorban Arms for dinner. Lovely garden and sweet little private space to rest after a long days walking. Would wholly recommend!

We loved our stay at The Woodhouse! It is a Beautifully designed bijou space with everything you need - perfect for a couple. Susan was a helpful and welcoming host and very responsive to any questions we had. We would certainly consider another visit. St.Abbs is an extremely scenic, quaint harbour side village, a perfect base for long walks up to the headland with panoramic views to be found, or a short wander along to coastal path to sandy Coldingham bay. The local cafes are recommended too.

We had a lovely stay at the luxury studio, Stephen greeted us and showed us how to use the hot tub, very friendly. Towels, robes and slippers left for us to use during our stay. Lovely forest walk with a waterfall just a short walk from the studio. As the sun went down we enjoyed the colourful lighting around the trees from the hot tub. We would highly recommended this studio to anyone 😁.

Geraldine and Derek are the perfect hosts. Totally felt at home on arrival and the lovely touch of fresh milk, bread,eggs and bread was a lovely welcoming touch. Highly recommend Geraldines reflexology amd back massage including cupping. Just put us into relaxation mode straight away. Sarahs cottage was perfect and our 2 little dogs loved running around the garden. Gear location for trabelling to various tourist attractions. Need to go back to see more as 2 days was not enough. You will not be disappointing if you want tranquility and relaxation

The place itself is cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up to ensure a relaxing stay. Everything was clean and well-kept, making us feel right at home. This is such a beautiful and peaceful place nestled within a secluded residential area, and yet only around 10 minutes' walk from the Meadows. The house had the magical combination of being spotlessly clean and cosy, with lots of details to make you feel right at home. The design and furnishing of the house was really lovely, too, with plenty of space and storage. I particularly loved the window seat for reading in the corner. Howard and Kathleen were excellent hosts, with super-fast and friendly communication and providing some lovely food and drink as a welcoming gift. I had a fabulous week's stay and hope to be back!

Our stay at Nadurra was absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for anything more! The hosts provided everything you could possibly need and all the extras as well. We managed to explore so many different areas and even drove out to the Isle of Skye as a day trip. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the highlands then don’t hesitate to book Nadurra. We really didn’t want to leave!

Really peaceful, beautiful spot. Clean and warm cottage with everything we needed. Easy to walk to Roundhay Park, Shadwell and local pubs. Jess, Morse and Sid were very welcoming and super friendly. Roger and Heidi were nice too. We'll happily stay there again.

Spectacular location with a beautiful house. It's a wing of a larger home. There were lots of games and activities provided in the house for a family stay. Would highly recommend. Very easy to find and get inside.

It was our second time staying with Michael and Olivia. They are fantastic hosts. Cant thank them enough for our wonderful stay. Wonderful people. We will be back in the future again and we cant wait.

Had an amazing weekend away, very homely, spacious and clean. The YouTube videos are very helpful when coming down the main road. The garden is fully enclosed and the hot tub is amazing. Great weekend can’t wait to visit again

Ons verblijf was perfect! we hadden onze dochter van 4 maanden mee en voor haar had Vanessa een campingbedje en stoel klaargezet. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien, een heerlijke plek voor ons om onze familie in de buurt te bezoeken! We komen in Augustus weer! Bedankt Vanessa

we stayed here when my partner had a skydive booked locally, it was everything we could of asked for and more, a really lovely stay, clean and modern with everything we needed. thank you for the lovely stay 😁
