We visit Helen often and look for rentals that are close to town, the river, and are comfortable… we hit the jackpot with Kendra’s River Suite for Two. The beautifully decorated room, gorgeous peaceful riverside seating and many owner thoughtful touches made our stay extra special! We will be back!

Karen and Greg were wonderful host to myself and my girlfriend when we stayed at their property for our anniversary. Before going to the property, Karen made it a point to make sure that I had specific directions and instructions for how to arrive at their property and how to navigate within the mountains. We had told them it was our anniversary and they surprised us by having cake and wine in our kitchen for when we first arrived at the property. P.S the cake was delicious. The location was beautiful and the photos don’t capture how nice it is in person. The amenities were excellent, the jacuzzi was amazing and so was the fire pits. When we were at the property, Greg and Karen made both of us feel right at home with their kindness and generosity. I would give this place 10/10 and would come back and stay at the property again. Greg and Karen were amazing as hosts, and I would recommend anyone, especially couples, to stay at this gorgeous property for a weekend or an extended weekend!

This was a lovely cozy place to stay in the NC mountain. It was close to town and Colleen was a great host. Would definitely stay here again!!

We had a great short overnight stay to Dahlonega and picked the rental bc of its proximity to downtown where we were focusing our trip. It was way bigger than expected. Easy to find and very very clean and comfortable. Parking situation was nice too. It’s a good 10 minute up hill walking to the town square passing BEAUTIFUL historic homes!! One of our favorite parts! But being in the crisp air after a great dinner and wine was the perfect way to start and end the evening. Host communication was top tier. Bed was comfortable with nice bedding. We will definitely be back!

Would highly recommend. Very clean and perfect for a week in the mountains. Close to Clayton which has an awesome little downtown with shops and good restaurants. Also close to numerous beautiful hiking trails. Kitchen is fully stocked and the house had everything we needed…including a backpack to take hiking. I don’t like cats but Billy was pretty cool.

Perfect, Peaceful home surrounded by mountains and yet just a quick drive to hiking or restaurants. Heather is very helpful and quick with responses. The house has everything you need including a great outdoor space. My family and I enjoyed hiking during the day and sitting by the fire at night. Would 100% recommend and hope to stay again soon.

We were so pleased with our decision to book this home especially after being in downtown Helen and seeing the hotels we considered. It is close to town but in a quiet neighborhood— peaceful and great area to walk the dog. The home is spacious- very comfortable living area and large bedrooms. The 2 baths were perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed including 3 different coffee makers and popcorn! A very nice touch. There were plenty of blankets and throws for the cold weather and we loved the fireplace! So cozy! Maklen was super responsive and friendly, much more so than some of the other places I’ve stayed. We highly recommend Maklen and their home.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! We loved it so much, this was our 2nd stay. Group of 13 friends just hanging out for the weekend. Things that stand out include the absolutely pristine bathrooms and the fully stocked kitchen. All the pans, utensils, cutting boards, baking pans, etc. you need. Lots of places I've been to don't have things like measuring cups but they have everything. When we had questions, response was fast. Nice common area for everyone to hang out in. Just a great place.

We visited Phillip’s lake house for a long weekend to celebrate our daughter’s upcoming 17th birthday, along with a few of her friends and our family. Within 20 minutes of being there, our daughter asked us if we could rent again this summer! The house is beautifully appointed (the girls loved the leopard stair runners!), and the home was absolutely pristine. The owners have left no stone unturned when it comes to detail, instruction and comfort, and there was plenty to entertain our crew inside and out! The surroundings are somewhat ethereal, not to mention peaceful, even with 6 teen girls, a ten year old boy, and our pup! We all loved that he got to join us, and being the water dog he is, he was in heaven! Our favorites were exploring the lake in the canoe and other water toys, so generously provided, and star gazing on the dock! We can’t wait to visit again! This home may have become our new Highlands tradition!

We were extremely happy with the property. Property exceeded my expectations. Kitchen was the heart the property, Master bedroom and bathroom were extremely spacious. Downstairs is a hidden treasure. Lots of games and toys for the family to play. Will highly recommend!!! Will definitely return.

I definitely would stay here again. It was a fun trip with my husband and it’s a nice private spot so reconnecting was easy here. I stayed only one night but wish I had put down for longer so that I could enjoy the little river that is right in front of this cabin.

Great little cozy condo! Well appointed kitchen so we cooked a few meals. Great location that was close to town. Firewood was furnished by the owners. Would rent again!

Jennifer was a great host and her condo was perfectly situated in Sky Valley. It looked recently remodeled and the entire condo was spotless. The tub and bathroom was so clean, as well as the bedding, living room, kitchen, you name it. We loved our stay here and loved that it was quiet & peaceful, but not totally secluded. My husband and I felt really comfortable in the condo and enjoyed our time overall there. We didn’t super LOVE the sleep we got on the bed, but we prefer softer mattresses and sleeping on a king size bed, so I think that contributed to it. It felt like a great quality mattress though and I think others would love it. Loved this condo & I would stay here again if I get the opportunity!

The views off the top floor balcony are stunning! A great view of the sunrise over the lake. The house is very large and spacious with all the amenities you would need for a long stay. Well stocked utensils and cookware in the kitchen. A great loft area that turned into our prime hangout spot. Patricia is very quick and responsive and the check-in/out was a breeze.

Beautiful stay in a beautiful place. Amy was really great, and the condo was perfect for our group. Would definitely love to come back for another stay!

The place was clean, cozy, and absolutely exceeded our expectations. The photos don’t do it justice! The property was gorgeous and we even got to feed the trout off of the bridge! The hosts checked in on us on our first day to make sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking to hike, there are plenty of good hikes within 20ish minutes of the place which was super convenient. It was the perfect place for a quiet, peaceful mountain getaway. We loved every minute!

Thank you for providing a clean and comfortable home near the charming Helen downtown. This location was perfect for us to explore hikes and waterfalls. It also allowed us to walk into town every evenings to grab dinner at the local restaurants. Would recommend and would stay again

We just needed a quick getaway! Erica was wonderful to work with! She was very helpful and quickly responsive! Just wish we could have stayed longer ! Her place was beautiful and so convenient to downtown! She offered lots of recommendations! We will definitely stay again!
