What an experience with weather that brought blowing snow and wind gusts to add to the challenge of a visit in Winter!! Einar and Oli kept in touch and gave us great advice about navigating the conditions, plus we saw the Northern Lights! The cabin was perfect, really well equipped, with extras like spices and cooking oil. The things you don’t think to buy for a two night stay. It was warm, clean, charming and incredibly comfortable. The view and snowscape scenery was spectacular and we were well looked after on the way out too, clearing snow for us to drive safely on to the next destination.

Steps away from the Arnastapi cliffs, the location of Inga’s place is the stuff of guide books and travel shows. It is a short walk down to two different trails taking you along the breathtaking cliffs overlooking the sea. The town of Arnastapi is a great location to use as home base while exploring the wonders of the peninsula. Staying in the house feels like being in someone’s well loved home. Inga has provided everything one could need to cook even elaborate meals. Her detailed instructions on getting to the house and the guidebook and map provided were all very useful. If we’re ever able to visit Iceland again, we would absolutely want to stay here.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt im sauberen und gut eingerichteten Ferienhaus inkl. Whirlpool sehr genossen. Sehr schöne ruhige Lage mit besten Möglichkeiten Snaefellsness zu erkunden. Auch im Winter ist die Unterkunft gut zu erreichen.

Had a lovely one night stop over here. Arrived in darkness but was greeted a stunning view in the morning. Easy to find and seamless check in. Highly recommend!

Hjortur’s house felt like a home, with all the amenities to make us comfortable - cozy fireplace, blackout shades, hot tub and so much more. It’s ideally situated, around the corner from the town pool and playground, on a quiet street, with easy walk to restaurants. We especially appreciated all the thoughtful instructions posted in the house that made the appliances easy to use. Check-in was easy and the housekeeper lives down the street in case we needed anything. It was the perfect place to relax at the end of our trip to Iceland and we loved it so much, we’d give it 10 stars if we could.

This was the perfect place for our family of 4. Lots of space, a well-stocked kitchen, and the hot tub was the perfect touch at the end of the night! Bjorn responded immediately any time we had a question. His house is conveniently located for adventures on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, and walking distance to several restaurants and the grocery store. We loved it!

We stayed here for a 2nd time, but this time we stayed for our wedding in Budir. Just like our last stay, this property had everything we needed. Our family was so comfortable and there's so much to do in this area. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to feel at home while on vacation 💜

A very cozy house, super well-equipped, the sauna and hot pot were sensational! The location right in front of Kirkjufell Mountain is unbeatable, we even got to see the Northern Lights! The rent for the house is quite high, but worth every cent and highly recommended!
