My husband and I stayed here for the second half of our honeymoon. The location was wonderful. We were so grateful to have a place we really felt we could call home - and do laundry- while we recovered from excursions. The location being right next to the bus stop is so essential, we got everywhere we needed to with ease. There’s also a great food hall right next door. Would definitely stay here again!

We felt like we walked into a clean and lovely home. Very well stocked and beautifully located with the view of a glacier from the sunroom! We saw the aurora borealis right off the back step, and enjoyed our stay. Lots of room in the house but (we didn’t know ahead of time) the bathroom is on the main floor with the 1st floor bedroom. Bedrooms upstairs (set up for an adult room and kids room with 3 beds) is up a very steep staircase. This didn’t bother us, but our adult son, who stayed upstairs, mentioned it would be difficult taking kids to the bathroom during the night. Just a little something to add to the listing. Kind and communicative host, and we would definitely recommend it!

Sara and Rabbi are excellent, proactive hosts- who, with any issue or question, went out of their way to assist and solve problems. This home is extraordinary, nestled in uncompromisingly beautiful, natural surroundings and is truly such a special place. It can accommodate a large group, but we were 4 singles and found it was rather perfect considering the number of bathrooms and showers. The beds were super comfortable for European standards (a joy!), the kitchen was well-stocked and we felt so at home. The hot tub is natural, so be mindful there may be some algae floaties. And watching the Aurora from the many viewpoints throughout the property was an unforgettable experience. I hope to bring my kids and husband here soon, but until next time I’ll be seeing this place in my dreams often, I’m sure!

We had such a wonderful stay here - this is a cosy farm stay close enough to Reykjavík but far enough to have clear skies to see the Northern Lights if you’re lucky enough. We absolutely loved the kitchen, the coffee moccamaster and having access to a washing machine. A super warm, nicely decorated place and huge bed! Probably one of my favourite Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Disa is super lovely and so is Bonzo the dog! Highly recommend to anyone travelling to Iceland ❤️

We had an amazing time at Geir’s family home! This was an incredible place to spend the new year and we would absolutely return! The location is perfect. We were able to walk outside the city lights a short distance to get an amazing view of the northern lights. A designated lookout is also a short car ride away. Plus, downtown Reykjavík is a short car or bus ride away! It could also be a good walk for those who like to hike.

The house is as beautiful as the surroundings. The furniture and finishings were beautifully crafted and very comfortable. You had the convenience of being in a small town to grab a bite to eat or run down to the store for a few groceries, but you also the breathtaking landscape views Iceland is known for. This was a wonderful place to stay and when we go back, we will be checking this listing first to see if it's available!

Lovely house in a quiet neighbor. Lina is very lovable. We enjoy our stay very much.

Our two-family group of four adults and seven children (infant through 8 yrs) had an amazing stay here! The house is beautiful and spacious, had everything we needed. Lots of comfortable living space, plenty of bathrooms, double washer and dryer. The kids practically lived in the game room. Watching the Northern Lights from the hot tub was a dream come true! Berglind and her husband were kind and helpful hosts and even left some Icelandic treats. Overall fantastic experience!
