This was a great place for a weekend with friends and family to hang out by the water. There was a decent amount of cleaning we had to do at check out that was required despite the cleaning fee. Other than that, the place was beautiful and Evan was very responsive and accommodating which we really appreciated. I would absolutely stay again!

A great getaway with amazing views out all windows. Extremely comfortable home and sleeping arrangements. We will rent again for sure. Sandy was so available and quick to respond on any questions. Thank you for a great stay

This lake house was extremely beautiful,very affordable and everything matched the description of it. We enjoyed ourselves very much,loved that this lake house was fenced up in the back very safe for our toddlers. Also very kid and toddler friendly they had boards games,blocks and puzzles for our kids to entertain themselves not to mention the playground outside and play balls. The patio and the swinging chairs were extremely so peaceful and lastly the lake view is a gem specially when the sun hits it. We will definitely book again.

We had a great girls weekend, and I would love to go back with my family.

This was an amazing house and stay right on the lake! Beautiful patio with tons of lake and patio entertainment including kayaks, games, outdoor cooking, televisions and more. We went with a group of 6 and had a blast, built a fire, fished, went kayaking and enjoyed the peacefulness and fun of the house. Definitely would stay here again and recommend it if you are looking for an awesome lake house!

Had such a great weekend! It was a bit rainy and chilly over the weekend but even then we had an amazing time in the jacuzzi! I definitely recommend this location, great space, amazing area and I can only imagine it during the summer! Thanks again for such a great stay!

Pictures do not do justice on how nice the home was! Tons of room for a large group, large kitchen, comfortable beds, and weather permitting a beautiful sunset from the dock. This home has definitely been added to our favorites list and we will for sure be returning!!

Wonderful home, welcoming host! We really enjoyed our stay at Kathryn’s lake house. We arrived Wednesday and left Sunday- we wish we would’ve stayed one more day. The house was incredibly clean. Brand new pots and pans. Clean bedding, floors- the place was spotless. The bathrooms are clean and modern- great water pressure. Kathryn called us prior to our arrival to answer any questions. She was welcoming and kind. I also texted her while we were there, and she responded immediately. The house has a beautiful dock- it was a nice place to fish. The backyard is huge- we brought our dog. We had tons of room to play. We all slept good. The beds are comfy. We enjoyed the screened in porch when it got windy. My son also loved the foosball table. The only negative was the neighbor had a crew working on his dock. We didn’t love the noise from their music/construction, but it was still a great trip. We would definitely stay here again. It was at the top end of our budget but 100% worth it!

The place was so peaceful and quiet. The master bedroom had windows facing the lake so it was always a treat to fall asleep and wake up to views of the lake. The fishing off the dock was outstanding. At one point, there was a power outage in the neighborhood and the host was quick to update me as she received updates which was very nice and unexpected! I will visit again.

Great little cabin with a great view. We stayed in what would probably be called "off season" so it was a bit too chilly and windy to do much outside, but we weren't there on vacation, so it was ok. Cabins are very quiet, even in windy conditions. Bed was comfortable. Even though it is a "tiny home" there is everything needed to stay for an extended time.

Place is beautiful, host is sweet as can be! Stayed multiple times and will be back.

This was a very nice place, very clean and had anything you could want or need. The host was very nice and I would definitly come back to this place and stay again. It was very quiet at night and felt very safe. The decor was excellent, very cute.

5-Star Stay at the Perfect Fishing Getaway! We had an amazing stay at this cozy two-room cottage on Lake Athens! It was the perfect spot for a fishing getaway. The dock was ideal for tying up our boat, making it easy to head out early in the morning or relax on the water in the afternoon. The sunsets over the lake were absolutely stunning—something we looked forward to every night as we sat on the porch and reminisced. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking up fresh meals, and the outdoor smoker was a fantastic bonus for preparing some delicious meals. The friendly neighbors even shared a few great fishing spots with us, which made our trip even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a peaceful lakeside retreat with great fishing, beautiful views, and all the comforts of home, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

Additionally, we were thrilled to discover a beautiful golf course just a short drive away, which became a highlight of our trip as we took in the picturesque views while enjoying a few rounds. Every aspect of our stay added to a memorable experience filled with relaxation and fun.

This was a nice place and beautiful view. We were looking to have a place where we could just stay and not have to get out for entertainment. This house was perfect!! We fished, got out in the kayaks, sat on the porch. They have a big table in sunroom for games and puzzles. Kitchen well stocked and two bedrooms are comfortable. We would definitely stay again. Overall, a very cozy, beautiful home!!!

Lovely weekend spent at Courtney’s place! The rental was as-described, and my family had fun fishing on-site. My favorite feature was the sunroom. Had a great view of the backyard, included laundry facilities. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfy. It was a great little place to simply unplug, watch tv, work on a puzzle. Thanks!

The cabin and the surrounding is beautiful. It’s not right on the water you do have a down hill hike to a very small dock. If you are not in shape or older I would suggest considering that fact. The host were great and very communicative. We visited the cold plunge but we are not in the best of shape so we didn’t get in it due to no hand rails and the rock were not very stable. My husband and I very much enjoyed our down time for our anniversary weekend. We definitely want to come back with friends but want to rent the lake house closer to the water. Please know This cabin is in excellent shape and very clean. Plus it had a private hot tub that was very relaxing to watch the sunset from.

I'm so happy we found this adorable cottage by the lake. The beds were comfortable, spacious clean house, and beautiful views made the trip get away special. Mai, the host, was very responsive to my texts. I highly recommend everyone to book this beautiful house by the lake. It's a great place to recharge.

This was very nice and very responsive host, thank goodness because we were tired. Before getting there I thought the price might be a little high but this place was very clean and tidy dust free even. Felt like it was worth the extra effort that had obviously been put into this beautiful space. Thank you host for a comfy clean place that our family felt safe. Loved the deer and ducks too!

The cabin was very nice, my husband and dogs loved the outside space and hot tub. We were able to utilize the surrounding area and visit the nearby lake. The host was very responsive and helpful. Would love to stay here again.

We had a great stay, the lake house was clean and the host even bought some toys to keep my kids entertained while we were there. Everything was well kept.

I lived in East Texas all my life, and after 6 years was looking forward to a short stay on the lake. This home brought EVERYTHING I was hoping for. The opportunity for peaceful relaxation was abundant. My family broke out the supplied fishing rods and got some lines in the water. In the morning, waking up to the sounds of birds chirping while drinking a hot cup of coffee in the upstairs balcony was a much needed reprieve. I've stayed in dozens of Air BnBs across the country; and I must say Kevin and Debra's listing is a jewel nestled in the heart of the Piney Woods. Very much looking forward to our return visit!

Peaceful and quiet, loved the pond option for fishing! Romantic and exactly what we needed for our quick weekend get away! Stores are close by. We will definitely be booking again.
