The house was just as beautiful as the pictures! We had a family gathering to celebrate Christmas and it accommodated everyone very comfortably. My family and I really enjoyed all the amenities especially the hot tub and the theater room. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking and baking pots, pans and utensils. The bedrooms were extremely roomy, and the master has a beautiful view of the Dix river. The drive to the house was a little tricky in the snow but the GPS gave very accurate directions. Amanda was super responsive and would return messages within minutes. Definitely plan to come back when the weather is nicer.

This location was far beyond what my family and I imagined. Unfortunately we weren't there for vacation, but for a funeral from out of state. The house was clean, the beds were so comfortable, the set up was wonderful. It certainly took the stress away, and the views were breathtaking and peaceful. We had 3 households there and it didn't once feel cramped or overwhelming. We are planning an actual vacation for late summer to enjoy it again. That was just about the place itself, but Anessa, the property manager, was above and beyond fantastic. She's very welcoming, very responsive, and eager to help however she can. She checked in with me often to make sure we didn't need anything, and was quick to bring it over if we did. I would highly recommend this location and any other run by Anessa!

We had an awesome time. Cindy was so very helpful and responsive. The house was so cute and comfortable. Sunrises and sunsets were amazing. Enjoyed the campfire. It is a beautiful house on a beautiful horse farm and so thankful we picked it. We will be back! ❤️

My family and I stayed for a birthday weekend getaway and it was exactly what we needed the view was absolutely stunning and the house provided everything we needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a lake house getaway. 10/10 thank you so much Amy.

The house is comfortable and has plenty of room for games and meals for four adults. Deck overlooks the lake which is so pleasant. Not very close to town but the drive is picturesque and the Shaker village is nearby. Beds were great!

Sherry was a great host! Enjoyed the peaceful property and close proximity to multiple whiskey distilleries for our trip!

We had a wonderful stay at the River Cottage over Christmas. Great place for the family to share time together. Jay and Anne Sophia communicated everything well and were on top of things when we had a little problem with the Dish box. We also want to thank you both and Jamey for the birds and birdseed. They truly added to our stay.

We loved staying at Spencer's place! It was the perfect place for a long weekend getaway and had everything we needed. It was probably the best stocked place we ever stayed in! From utensils, pots and pans, seasonings, to coffee and coffee creamer, it had everything. The big porch overlooking the river with the nice hot tub for those cool fall evenings couldn't have been better. If we had anything to say that wasn't 100%, the shower water doesn't stay hot, every 2-3 minutes it would get cold for 30 seconds and then get hot again. We adjusted once we figured out it might just be that way but we wanted to give people a heads up. Overall we really enjoyed our time here and will probably come back the next time we are in town. We booked one night very last minute and Anna reached out within minutes! She was flexible with our late arrival and communicative. The house is so cute and cozy and had everything we needed. I loved the roar of the train and thought it was so neat to be so close to the bridge.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was clean and comfortable, decorated so cute! Tonya was amazing to work with, always very quick to respond and very sweet and helpful in working with us to stay a few extra days when a family member was sick. I very much appreciated her kindness, her recommendations for getting medical care, and just making things easy when I was trying to care for my family member. I would highly recommend the cottage to anyone and would love to come back in the summer and enjoy the lake. Thanks Tonya!!
