Excellent location within walking distance of the beach, good restaurants and amenities. The accommodation was clean (bearing in mind it's dog friendly) and looked newly decorated. The only downside was the heating, as it was very cold and the settings meant it took a long time to get warm. It could have been because it hadn't been occupied for a while and it was February, but found I was unable to leave my dog downstairs, on a tiled floor all night without any heating on. A setting of 12 degrees would have been enough.

Great house in a fab location. It’s a big house that was super comfortable. The back garden was a plus for the dog to run round in. Friendly neighbours too. It was just what we needed.

Just the most perfect place for our short stay, Bottleworks cottage is in the most wonderful location for our two dogs, just minutes from the beach. The cottage was extremely well equipped, with some thoughtful touches, which made our stay that much more special. We would thoroughly recommend and would be pleased to book again soon. Sandra was the perfect host, very friendly messages, clear and informative instructions. Lots of ideas of places to go including Liosi’s cafe which didn’t disappoint, a banging breakfast and a takeaway meal from there later on. We walked along Hadrians Way to the Quayside which took about an hour but a great walk with our dog. A great house with everything we needed and more, treats on arrival for us and the dog which was lovely.

Seldom is where we stay one of the highlights of our trip, but this townhouse definitely was. It was absolutely amazing. It was warm and comfortable after coming in from our chilly all day excursions. The beds were comfortable, the house extremely clean and the amenities absolute perfection.

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights at this beautiful and cozy home. It was so well organised and felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We loved the charming decor and all the thoughtful details. Anthony was a wonderful host- approachable, kind, and very helpful. His clear instructions made everything smooth and stress free. The nearby forest walks were really nice, and the stream running through the woods made it so refreshing. The local people were friendly and helpful. The house itself was such a delight that we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay. The cottage was exactly as described. The owners were very communicative and we had no issues during our stay at all. It is a great location, nice and quiet very close to Kielder Water and Forest Park.

WOW - what a beautiful home!!! An absolute gem * For context - it was myself, my partner, two boys (4 and 2 years old) & our cavapoo. There was ample space for us all regarding bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge space. The home was tastefully decorated in keeping with the local beach aswell as spotlessly clean. NOTHING was too much for our hosts who were simply magnificent given the fact this is a relatively new venture for them. You would think this operation has been running for years based on the quality and efficiency of everything from booking and recommendations. The beach is quite literally a stones throw away and we made a beeline for this every morning after breakfast. Great start to the day! We had a 60 minute drive to Whitby with the family which was thoroughly enjoyable for some stunning Fish & Chips and crabbing for the boys to partake in. Some spectacular views driving down the coast past Redcarr and Saltburn. We would definitely come back again! BOOK BOOK BOOK IT!

Absolutely excellent! Wish I could give John and Honeymug six stars. The cottage was a true home-from-home. It was comfy, cosy, well-equipped and just perfect for a family getaway. The host really had thought of everything from local walk guides, books, DVDs, towels for the dog … everything! I could’ve stayed for weeks. The holiday cottage site was an amazing bonus. We were expecting a pool and a gym, however these has recently been renovated to include an outside hot tub, sauna, steam room and excellent luxe facilities. An amazing added bonus. I didn’t want to leave! My teenager loved the gym while his younger siblings enjoyed the games room with pool table. We were pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant on site too. We had an issue with the DVD player not working and John came the next day to replace it. Awesome host. Beautiful location. Fantastic base to explore Northumberland and everything it has to offer. Highly recommend!

I spent a long weekend at Simon and Belinda’s place in Chapel Stile. They were abroad during my stay, but this didn’t matter - their communication was excellent and the place was superb, with lots of local recommendations. Thanks, would certainly stay again.

We had a lovely short break at swallowtails . It was a very clean , tidy and cosy place . Had lots of amenities and everything worked perfectly. The king size bed was super comfy . It was just the right size for us 2 and our GSD . Not too far to go to pubs and a bakery and butchers . Good location for all the sights and places of interest in the Northumberland region . Would definitely recommend this great place . Thank you

The cabin is very rustic, has everything you need-3 TVs including in both bedrooms/Netflix/utube/all TV channels/Games/Xbox-Alexa speaker-Kitchen is extremely well equipped-you just need to get an Air Fryer keep cooking costs down-beds very comfortable-a lot of thought has gone into the cabin and its facilities-The cabin sits on the largest slot on the site with a sloping wild garden, with some fantastic trees and a swing seat the views are very peaceful although my Arnie never got the chance to enjoy it my sons dogs did. There is a swimming pool and sauna on the site which was open but we simply didn't get the chance to use it and we could have had it to ourselves, were too busy out and about-Talbot bar at bottom of lane very dog friendly and met Dave the dog who sits on reception, free pool table also-loved feeding the wild bids each morning but wasn't a fan of the owl who was up and about each night-overall a little magical cabin and land it sits on. Will visit again-All the best PM

An absolutely lovely place to stay and not too far from a beautiful beach 😊

Alun was very helpful and friendly throughout the process. The cottage is in a wonderful location with lots of walks of differing difficulties - something for everyone. The cottage itself is very well appointed and comfortable. The beds and bedding are of very good quality, as are the household appliances. The wood-burning stove is a great addition on a cold winter's night. We would recommend this cottage unreservedly.

Lovely stay in Whitley Bay at Claire’s caravan. On the edge of the park closest to the sea so great views of the coast and lighthouse. We were lucky with the sunsets - they were beautiful! Recommended!

We had such a wonderful time here. The cottage is great with fantastic views. Our dog loved the garden which was very secure, the cottage was exactly as described with good quality furnishings and appliances etc. Kate was very friendly and happy to help. Lots of information provided on local walks etc., there are walks you can do from the cottage or a short drive will open many more options. We can’t wait to return for another peaceful, relaxing break!

Fabulous place for peace and quiet. So close to the beach for walks with the dogs. Everywhere we walked to was really catered for dogs. Some great places to walk to on the beach. Accomodation warm and cosy just as described, host made you feel at home with nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

Lovely cottage in ideal location with walking distance to the beach. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Kitchen was very well equipped. Extremely comfortable bed so that was a bonus. Nick is a great host and responds quickly. I will definitely be back when I'm next on the area.

Lovely stay for a stopover on an epic journey across the country! have used Andrea a couple times and will do again!

We first stayed at Elaine’s in October and it was as perfect and our second visit the same. I highly recommend this accommodation, it has everything you could possibly need. Beautiful well equipped kitchen, lounge area cosy and comfortable, outside seating area is very private and we were able to sit out this time. Beds are very comfortable with lovely sheets etc. and the bathroom has separate bath and an excellent shower. Location is perfect and Warkworth beach is very clean and dog friendly. Another perfect stay , will definitely be booking again.
