What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

Such a brilliant place- very clean, lovely hamper of breakfast bits left for us and obviously the hot tub! Quiet area, easy to get to Whitstable and Herne bay. Had a great time.

We had a lovely stay for NYE at Ingram House! The bar area was a great space to relax in and the dining room and lounge area were also lovely. There was plenty of space and it was very comfortable! Highly recommend a stay here!

Pauline was not only an exceptional host, responsive, friendly and warm, but her place was stunning. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. Watching the sunset over the fields from the hot tub was perfect! The cottage itself is a perfect size and just beautifully decorated and laid out. And Pauline has thought of everything. The little touches really made our stay. I can’t wait to come and stay again!

we stayed in hut #2 on Aidan and Wendy's property. The introduction was great, we dealt with Aiden. A straight shooting gentleman, he explained the rules and general procedure to me and my partner before leaving us to ourselves. The property is well kept and tidy, there are security cameras all over the place (they are not aimed at the hut), for that peace of mind. we had a suprise visit from Aiden and Wendy's pup which was a pleasant suprise as our dog made a new friend. The huts are small so with two of us and a large dog it was pretty full but if you've read the description and pictures you'll know what your getting into. we really liked that cosy feel. Especially with the wood burning fire on. The back roads can be daunting to navigate if you are not familiar with country lanes but take it slow and you will be fine. It's worth the trip to Aiden and Wendy's sanctuary.

The place was beautiful; it matched the description, was very spacious and in a very peaceful location which served as a great base to explore the area. Nina was friendly with great communication and responded quickly to messages. There were very good supplies left for us on arrival including croissants, eggs and wine which were very well received!

Lisa was a fabulous host and her home was amazing. She was incredibly responsive and provided great recommendations for places to visit and eat around the area. The house itself was perfect for our young family—plenty of space, spotless, and well-maintained. We especially loved the warm fireplaces, which made the home feel cozy, and the family-style kitchen was perfect for cooking and being together. The beautiful country surroundings made for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Highly recommend this place for families looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay!

Host John was friendly and give us the privacy in thier back garden space. Kids enjoyed the games kept inside the house. Also good space to enjoy with family and kids. good beach themed house. Hot tub was fantastic and relaxing

Great place to stay out of the hustle & bustle of Whitstable but a gorgeous walk in along the beach / coast walk - flat and easy for all. Really enjoyed staying in this area - lovely houses and beach feels very private. Plus the house is 3 houses down from the sea and upstairs bedrooms have great seaview. Very sociable space - 4 couples stayed and we had so much room to cook, eat & sit and the garden is a bonus.

Fijne woning. Afwerking van de woning van hoge kwaliteit. Het huis is schoon en zeer compleet met onder meer goede wandelkaarten van de omgeving, zeer goed uitgeruste keuken met een fijne voorraad aan verbruikszaken (olie, kruiden, bakpapier, vuilniszakken e.d.). Verder ook ruim voldoende handdoeken e.d.. Een uitstekend verblijf.

We really enjoyed Driftwood. A perfect little house in a perfect location to get straight on to the beach. It fitted 4 of us and our dog very comfortably. We really couldn't fault it. The property was clean, had everything you could need, and the Host, Simone was extremely responsive and helpful. If you're wondering which one to book in the area, then wonder no more. This is the one!

Such a beautiful place with gorgeous surroundings……. Couldn’t have been more peaceful only thing to hear was the birds in the trees. Very clean, beautiful cottage……. Little touches like home made bread and jam on arrival hosts were very polite and informative full of recommendations, would definitely recommend we will most certainly be returning ☺️

We absolutely loved our stay at The Stable. The photos when we booked looked amazing but in reality it was superb. The bed and settee were super comfy and all the TV set up was great. We had amazing weather for April so really enjoyed the little sun trap of a garden. The lights at night were so pretty. Going to get some for home. The kitchen had everything we needed. Little goodies left by Greg were very nice. Our little dog was very well behaved and enjoyed his holiday too. The stable is in good walking distance to everywhere in Southend. We walked miles both ways on the beach. Luckily we came before 1st May because after that till September dogs are not allowed on the beaches. And that would have been a game changer for us. All in all it is a lovely little cottage. Designed beautifully well done.

Wow, what a gem! I booked this property mainly because of the location - I was in the area visiting family and it was ideally placed. I also loved the look of the property and it didn't disappoint, it felt immediately homely and was very comfortable. What I hadn't reckoned on was the warmth of the welcome provided by Alexis and her family, from the home baked muffins waiting for us when we arrived, to the regular visits from her three gorgeous dogs. The children loved the treehouse and the donkeys, and Alexis recommended some lovely walks from the property, although our busy schedule meant we weren't able to take advantage of these - something for our next visit! If you're thinking of booking this property and you're hesitating for any reason, I urge you to go ahead! It's a truly special place with a wonderful host.

The Hive was an amazing find—true to the photos and description. I spent a week here and enjoyed every moment. It was peaceful, calm, and offered everything you’d want from a break away from the inner city. The hosts were genuinely lovely people too! I’d highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

We loved staying at this property. We booked it as it was very close to the Kent Cookery School which we had booked for a belated Christmas present. The property was a quiet and peaceful escape for us for the weekend. The bed was really comfy, the lounge was warm and cosy ( even without the fire on) and the shower was great. Larissa has really thought about what clients need for a relaxing and carefree experience. The property has lots of added extras, there’s a lot of thought gone into this place. There’s also loads of helpful guides and tips for travelling around the area and where to visit. There is a lovely business park next door, walkable in less than 5 minutes with lovely shops and eateries. We could have easily stayed longer in this area. There is a hot tub in the grounds which was amazing. Watching the stars in the dark (no light pollution) whilst in a lovely warm hot tub, with a glass of fizz was fabulous. One of those life experiences that will always stay with you.

Fabulous week, swallows nest cottage was lovely and the swimming pool was great, we were the only ones in there each time. Chris even opened the pool early for us which was much appreciated. Used the steam room too and the fabulous hot tub - had fabulous walks with our two spaniels, along the coast to Firehills was our favourite. The Cove pub was amazing, very dog friendly, warm (log fire) and welcoming, food fantastic. All in all a really lovely week. Chris and Erik very ready to help but totally happy to leave you to enjoy their lovely gardens etc. We’ll be back! Thank you Chris and Erik

We spent a lovely week at Alison's farm. Beautiful location near charming Ticehurst and Wadhurst (both have good Pubs), incredible views across open countryside and hills from the heated outdoor pool, which our daughter loved. Slides, swings and a trampoline bonus points with kids. Alison was friendly and helpful. The Shed itself is warm and comfortable, kitchen is kitted out for basic meals, and the two ensuite bathrooms are super spacious and have good showers with hot water plus bathtubs. There is so much to do in the area from beautiful walks, tastings at vineyards, to cyclyng in Bedgbury, boating in Bewl Water and seaside beauties Rye and Camber in the vicinity.

I booked to stay at the cottage for my husband's birthday and it didn't disappoint. The communication between myself and Tim & Maite was great. They were always responsive and super helpful. The photos of the house don't do it justice. It’s such a lovely area and although you may see the occasional walker in the distance, you feel like your'e in the middle of nowehere. The hot tub was a great addition to the property, especially since the pool at the house was not available due to it being out of season and super cold, as explained prior to our arrival. We ( and the kids) loved the house, loved the fire, loved the hot tub, loved the games, We played the family edition of Cards Against Humanity and it was just a lovely relaxing family weekend away without computer games - it was bliss. The perfect setting and in my husbands words - it was the perfect find! Thank you so much to Tim and Maite for such a wonderful stay.

We hadden 4 fantastische dagen in het huisje van Caroline. De kinderen waren heel gelukkig met de chocolaatjes en zelf was ik helemaal in de wolken met alle prachtige bloemen die werkelijk overal in het huis stonden! De locatie was zalig rustig en een goeie uitvalsbasis voor een aantal daguitstappen. We sliepen als roosjes in de comfortabele bedden en werden elke ochtend wakker met het gefluit van de vogeltjes. Het aanwezige ontbijt was de kers op de taart want zo konden we rustig aankomen zonder al direct te denken aan de volgende ochtend. We raden een verblijf dan ook zeker aan! 😊

Tara was fantastic. She was there for our arrival even though our flight was late. Tara had excellent suggestions for how to get around and places to eat. A very positive experience due to Tara, even though we happened to be there during a massive storm🤣

Great house to spend time with friends for a 50th. Very close to Canterbury which has lots of great shops, bars and restaurants. Also close to Chapel down and a couple of stellar pub do lunch out dinner. The house was everything we needed it to be and the pool was perfect!

We had a lovely Xmas stay at Maggies home, the house is very spacious and located directly on the coast, perfect for walks with our dogs, we had a great time and would definitely return for another stay.
