Great little lodge. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We celebrated a quiet 40th and couldn’t have asked for more, lovely quiet location with great views. Selby was very nearby and easy to get to with nice places to eat and York being so close too for a fantastic day out….. then to come back and relax in the hot tub was very welcoming 🤗

Had a lovely stay. Easy self check in and some goodies to welcome us much appreciated. Very quiet location just 5 minute level walk to centre of Bakewell. Quite a few stairs in property but this was expected and not a problem for us. Pamela always very responsive, helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

We stayed for five days in Fox Cottage. The accomodation was so welcoming, cosy and clean and the hosts friendly, informative welcoming and responsive Within one day our children our children wanted to come back. The cottage is:- - very conveniently located for local amenities and towns. - in a very peaceful location with enviable views which the picture window the photographs highlights - was spotless throughout and turned out with modern high quality furnishings - had lots of welcoming details (toiletries) which made for a welcoming and special experience - was frequented by two very friendly cats which the children adored - had a very peaceful private garden/deck which will be lovely when warm Should we return to the peak District we will first look to book Fox Cottage

My husband and I stayed as we were visiting Buxton Opera House and going hiking the next day at Mam Tor and surrounding area. We found the property to be a gem of a stay, with a very comfortable bed, decent size mugs (which I was very happy about) and Sky TV. For a tiny home they really have thought of everything to make it a perfect stay!! We would love to return : )

A great place to stay, a lovely well equipped cottage, with fantastic views and friendly and responsive hosts. There's lots to do in Matlock Bath, we had a great time here.

Overall it was fantastic and would recommend staying here for the immediate surroundings. We had fantastic weather for April so we could sit out on the patio and enjoy the view and the kids enjoyed the garden which was big enough to play football and rounders in. The only nitpick we had were the towels provided were very hard and scratchy and after using a lovely bath or shower the towels were not nice to use. So maybe bring your own in case they are not replaced soon. Although this did not affect us as the weather was great. If it did rain a lot and you were stuck in the downstairs lounge or dining area has no view of the lovely lake you can see from outside. There are views from upstairs main bedroom windows though.

A great short stay at this lovely cottage. Fantastic views and a cosy feel. Location was very convenient in the village very near to the fabulous pub and lovely walks. The cottage was very well equipped with everything needed.

The cottage was lovely, well appointed and perfect for us and the dogs. It was always warm but the woodburner made the evenings extra cosy. It is in a wonderful location for walking - all from the door! Youlgreave is a fantastic village with a selection of dog friendly pubs and cafes (that also sell amazing bread) plus a great village shop. We loved our time there and will definitely be back. :-)
