Gorgeous place to stay. Views from every window. Expect family ducks, chickens and peacock to pay you a visit, and if you hear snoring, it’s probably the large pig outside the window!

Awesome stay with the boys! Great location for walking. Cabs to Buxton were £35 so a little pricey but other than that the stay was perfect!

We stayed at the Cottage for Christmas 2024 and had the most relaxing a brilliant time. The place is really spacious for our two kids. Twos to play with and space to run around. Tina is an excellent host. Everything is well organised and well stocked. She was also really thoughtful and kind in thinking of our 1 year olds birthday. I’ve stayed at many air bnbs but few can match the hospitality and thoughtfulness of this place!

Just back from a 3 night stay at the cottage and it was perfect for our family. The cottage was so warm and cosy. It had everything we needed and was a home away from home. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings on a farm. Would definitely 100% recommend to anyone.

What an amazing little place, great location, loads of lovely walks nearby. Lucy met us upon arrival and kindly showed us around including some local sites. The place is relatively newly done with great facilities. The en-suites were superb and the bed and the matresses were excellent meaning we all got a great nights sleep after all the walking. We will 100% return. Thanks

What an amazing place. Exactly as described. Lovely welcoming touches such as coffee/tea, etc and cheeky bottle of wine! Perfect for our little getaway trip to climb Kinder Scout and explore the nearby B29 bomber plane wreckage. We were a couple and a teenager and dog. Great, unique accommodation and had everything we needed, including amazing underfloor heating in the shower room to soothe our aching feet! Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to explore this area of the Peaks.

Had a lovely time staying here, the cabin is lovely and has everything you need in. It is a remote place with a lovely fenced off area outside which is great for dogs and great views too. Will be booking again to stay in the future, well worth it 😊

A beautiful farmhouse with abundant space in wonderful surroundings. it was perfect for a gathering of 12 friends over the weekend, with space enough for communal eating and socialising but also separate spaces so people weren't on top of each other all the time. Easy instructions for check in and check out, nothing complicated or onerous to deal with. Sarah was friendly and communicative. There are many local amenities but equally plenty of entertainment at the house in the form of books, games, and TV. Thank you!

What a great find. Perfect location for peaceful walks with my Dalmatian Daisy. The accommodation is finished to a very high standard with plenty of room and felt secure and safe. Most important to me was that it was dog friendly and it really was. Daisy had her own secure area to play in and this is just so helpful. Hosts are friendly and the info provided to help you to find the place is excellent, also lots of info in the accommodation about the local area. Would definitely recommend and also would love to stay again for a longer break.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Stable. It is full of character & expensively kitted out: seating & bedding so comfortable & everything immaculate. Val was always quick to respond & so helpful: we followed her suggestions of where to eat locally (recommend the Prince of Wales in Baslow & The Packhorse at Longstone) and we were very grateful for the ordinance survey maps & folder of walk guides etc. A shout out too for the incredible gift shop in Culvar, a walk downhill by the river- it’s a treasure trove! There’s a beautiful river walk along the Derwent from Culvar to Froggatt then cross to the other side to walk back. Beautiful! Thank you Val for a super holiday and for the generous goodies you left for us; much appreciated.

This was a perfect place for what we wanted. Very peaceful but plenty within easy reach. The grounds were beautifully kept and the court yard with the hot tub was such a nice place to be. The Stables had everything we needed - lovely touch with the treats provided on arrival - and the hosts were friendly and helpful. We visited the local pub which was only a 5 minute walk. We would definitely visit again and recommend to others. Thank you

We had a lovely time away! Barry and Helen were brilliant hosts, we couldn’t fault it. Views were amazing and the place was cosy, clean and everything you needed ! We would definitely recommend and return ourselves.

Church Barn had everything you could need, and was in a stunning location. The stay was peaceful and Fiona was an excellent host, responding very promptly even with how late we booked to stay. We felt very welcomed and can’t wait to stay again. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful stay near Bakewell. Just WOW!

What an amazing place Scott has , the location is perfectly located to many walking routes and so much more! We went out on a few walks and coming back to Scott's place was exactly what we needed , home away from home , hot tub to relax in . The apartment is beautifully decorated, spacious and very clean. Whatever your reason for staying there the apartment will certainly cater to that! We had a wonderful time at Callow Barn and can’t wait to return! The location was idyllic with the most magnificent views. The house itself was beautifully furnished and so comfortable. And an amazing selection of walks right on the doorstep. We felt really privileged to be there 😊

We loved our short break at Pru’s place. Both she and Chris were considerate, welcoming and friendly. We travelled with our two old dogs who had their own welcome basket and loved the sniffing in the fields beside the property as well as longer walks. We ordered an evening meal for our first night which was delicious and Pru was so helpful and thoughtful in managing some dietary requirements. It’s a great spot to get away from the crowds and the locals in the tiny village were really friendly. We will definitely be back!

The accommodations were beautiful. The rooms were spacious, clean and appointed with everything we needed. The neighborhood is gorgeous and a pleasure to walk through and explore. And Sam was all we could ask for in a host: warm, friendly and quick to respond whenever we had a question.

A fantastic cottage with beautiful views. Every room is thoughtfully equipped and tastefully decorated. The sauna has to be seen to be believed. We’ve never felt more relaxed. Brian and Carolyn were friendly and welcoming hosts.

The perfect sweet spot of isolation and there being a Sainsburys 15 minutes drive away. Good proximity to Matlock baths yet good seclusion levels for privacy. Very tidy and really nice bed linen! Helpful host. Thanks

Caroline was very helpful and friendly from the outset. We hired Caroline’s place for a surprise for my partner’s 30th birthday and Caroline let us check in slightly early to decorate which allowed us to create a perfect surprise - we were really grateful. Caroline was communicative throughout and helped with recommending a lovely local restaurant (The Red House) - we had an amazing meal. Caroline also recommended a taxi company who were excellent. The granary itself was a beautiful big space and very well equipped. The kitchen area is stunning with a gorgeous terrace overlooking fields and horses. I would love to come back in the summer to make the most of this! The Granary is so comfortable and cosy with plenty of space! The bedrooms are beautiful and very luxurious, it was brilliant to have an en suite with each room. Our stay at the Granary was very special in a peaceful setting. Caroline is an excellent host and on hand if needed. I would not hesitate to stay again!
