Highland Council : séjours à la ferme

Stunning and cosy cottage set in beautiful grounds with nearby woodland and stream: perfect location for exploring highland Perthshire in autumn. Frances and Angus were incredibly lovely and friendly. Cottage was spotless and beautifully furnished. Would highly recommend!

we enjoyed the amount of space we had and thought that the house was good value for money. The house was unusual and aesthetically pleasing - this added to our enjoyment of the place. We appreciated that there was a good dishwasher and a wide range of plates and cups. It was good that we had so many books on the bookshelves. We both really enjoyed the deep bath. We were pleased that there was an enclosed area outside where we could play with our dog. We had very tasty fish and chips one night from the shop in Nairn High street which is next to a Chinese take away. Nairn beach was lovely and spacious.

De Riverside barn is een met smaak ingerichte oude agrarische schuur met 2 aparte ruimtes om te kunnen slapen naast de woonkamer met open keuken. De inrichting past er goed bij en is voldoende uitgerust voor één a twee weken verblijf. De nette badkamer met ietwat laag bad maakt het af. Riverside barn ligt aan de rivier de Evelix, maar daar hebben wij alleen de stroming gehoord en niet gezien. Het is een bijzondere plek en zonder eigen vervoer niet echt te gebruiken. Wij hebben het als uitvalsbasis gebruikt voor trips naar Inverness (en Loch Ness), John o'Groates en Ullapool. Dornoch valt onder prachtige North Coast 500 route en heeft ontzettend mooie gebieden rondom. Loch Fleet en Dornoch beach zijn mooie duin-, strand en watergebieden op 15 minuten met de auto te bereiken en daar kun je heerlijk wandelen en wilde dieren spotten. Een bezoek aan Cocoa Mountain in Dornoch voor de lekkerste chocolademelk is een smakelijke aanrader! Het praktisch ontbreken van internetverbindingen was top!

Great location for exploring Lewis, only about 3 miles from stornaway. Garage and shop close by. Lovely, warm and cosy accommodation. Friendly host. I would reccommend this accommodation.

We had such an incredible stay! The bnb was everything we needed for our group and proved to be an excellent base camp for exploring the isle of Skye. One of the coolest bnbs I’ve ever stayed in too! If this is available for your trip, highly recommend booking it.

Loved our stay at The Loft. It looked exactly as it does in the photos. Was easy to find, very comfortable & peaceful. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful break at the Bothy! It was perfect for an extended long weekend. The Bothy is well stocked with toiletries, cleaning products and plenty of cooking utensils & crockery - with a lovely view throughout the property. A perfect wee place to stay for dolphin watching at Chanonry Point, for interesting flora & woodland walks and for marvellous pizza from The Sutar Creek in Cromarty. The property was very clean and welcoming with the added bonus of a woodburning stove. Our labrador Poppy who does not generally like being away from home settled in very well & quickly, and it was a lovely break for us all. Highly recommended. Would stay again.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our little break away. We all loved the surrounding, so beautiful and picturesque. Had a walk around the gardens to meet the chickens, geese, peacocks and saw the horses, cows and sheep on our walk. Deer was also visible across from the farm in the open part of the forest. The house itself has everything you need and is spacious and comfortable. After busy days of visiting tourist attractions (lots of castles) we enjoyed relaxing in the living room with the log burner fire on and we played games with the kids. Games are provided and we also brought our own favourites, which was great for the rainy evenings. Getting there was easy following sat nav and was well signed the closer you got there. Rebecca was friendly and quick to respond, an excellent host and everyone that we met on the farm was so friendly. Checking in and out was a breeze as well. Would absolutely recommend for long and short stays and we hope to visit again.

We are a family of four with two young girls and felt right at home from the moment we walked in. A very lovely and comfortable cottage, well equipped and Maddie kindly left us milk in the fridge and delicious biscuits on arrival. It's a quick 40 mins to glenshee ski centre and we were lucky enough to have snow. The kids loved sledding and having a winter hike. The cottage is set in a lovely peaceful area near the river amongst blueberry and cherries trees, sadly as we came in winter they were not in bloom but you can tell how magnificent it would have been. Would recommend!

A lovely stay for a few days in Aberfeldy! An amazing Airbnb in a great location - just a 10 min walk into the town. Everything was spotless and had great amenities, and the setting was stunning. Laura was greatly accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

We’ve had such a lovely time at the Hayloft from the warm welcome by Lynne and Paul to the fresh bread and delicious butter - not to mention Lynne’s homemade granola. The Hayloft is a cosy haven for rest and relaxation lovingly restored by a lovely couple. Paul’s aviary from the bedroom window is a captivating watch at sunrise especially when the woodpeckers arrive. Perhaps we’ll see the badgers next time. The Old Bridge Inn is the place for food, ambience, Wednesday night pizza and folk music, while the funicular railway to the Ptarmigan restaurant offers a room with a view like no other. Can’t wait to come back.

It was an amazing stay, we loved very much. Everything was there. Very clean and spacious house and also great locations, peaceful and beautiful surroundings. We had a really nice walk everyday. We love to come back again .

We were very comfortable here and felt very welcome with the dogs. We really appreciated the excellent welcome pack on arrival which allowed us to have a cup of tea and supper! The location was perfect for us, quiet and peaceful and very close to Pluscarden abbey, which is beautiful and well worth visiting. We were very cosy at night, the bedroom was nice and warm despite cold weather. We hope we can return soon. Thank you!

The cowshed is the perfect base to explore the surrounding area! The shed is kitted out for all yours needs for your stay. The views were amazing and it had such a cosy feel. Mark and Hilary were lovely and welcoming and responsive to any queries we had! It was nice to see the friendly dog too. We would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing rural stay.

We had a lovely mini break for my mum's birthday, the accommodation was perfect. Peaceful and private with a great enclosed garden for my daughters to run around. Inside the accommodation was beautiful, very homely. We will definitely return in the future.

Beautiful barn in great, peaceful location. Warm, clean, all the facilities you’d need, spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Beautiful views, added bonus of seeing millions of stars and the northern lights on our first night! Handy for touring local area, Plockton is a lovely village to explore, also good location for Isle of Skye. Aileen was very friendly, giving advice on local area but not at all intrusive.

Our stay at The Old Dairy was just perfect! It was warm and cosy with all the amenities you could possibly need. It really felt like a home from home. We were slightly delayed in our arrival but Carolyn was so helpful and greeted us in person. The location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area and we were helped out with what to see and do as well. The breakfast at the farm shop on site was delicious! Highly recommend! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

What an idyllic place to stay! The owners were very responsive and helpful. The accommodations are modern and high quality. The location is quaint, with lots of history around, which I love. It’s very quiet and peaceful. We were comfortable and happy!

What a fantastic house, it was everything it was promised and more! Gorgeous feel, everything is great quality and feels fabulous to spend time there, like a real home away from home, it had everything we needed. Very impressive and would stay again!
