Arrived to an immaculate, welcoming, homely cottage which was very spacious and had everything to hand. The view is outstanding from the cottage and the surrounding area. So peaceful and tranquil. Loved watching the sunset. Lots of places to visit within a short drive and stunning beaches. The area is dog friendly with restaurants and shops welcoming dogs. David is a very helpful and accommodating host with faultless communication. Would loved to have stayed for longer!

We booked one night for Hogmanay, expecting to have some peaceful getaway and retreat. We have been offered a second night by the managers and so delighted we have decided to do that: no rush, used hot tub and sauna, enjoyed the beautiful pod, what was decorticated in Christmasy spirit, warm, clean, characteristic. Absolutely 100% wonderful experience on a special occasion 🤗

This house is beautiful, the best view with my morning coffee I’ve had in this country. And so much wildlife, we had deer at the front window regularly amoungst lots of other! The host was so helpful and even put a Christmas tree in the house for us over our stay… Which can’t of been easy with how rural you are! Looking forward to coming back to experience it all again in the summer

Es war sehr schön bei Margaret Ann. Der Ausblick vom Wohnzimmer auf das Meer war traumhaft und Margaret Ann war eine super Gastgeberin. Die Zimmer waren sauber und das Frühstück war sehr gut. Wir würden wiederkommen.

What an exceptional stay. 10/10 for location, cleanliness, ease of stay, comfort and privacy. The house has all you need for your stay. We didn’t want for anything utensil / pot pan wise, as we had home cooked meals most days. The bed was the best we have stayed in, in an air b&b. Same for the sofa & chair. After a long day of hiking or walking - comfortable places to relax are a must. The bathroom floor had underfloor heating, the house in general is very warm and cosy and everything seemed very “new” user friendly. We stayed here with our two sausage dogs for a week & the outdoor space around the little house was secure. The local beach for late night and early morning strolls was breath taking. Bridget was charming and welcoming, she always had a smile on her face. Bridget was always so helpful and really made us feel at home. We will absolutely be back, as saying we have fallen in love with Cuil Bay is an understatement.

This house was in a stunning location. Fit 8 of us very comfortably. Love that we all had our own bathrooms. Bathtub was awesome! Beds were all extremely comfortable. Fresh sheets and towels. I’ve given 5 stars for everything but there were a few things I think could be improved just in light of paying 900+ for two nights. There was a smell in the fridge when we arrived, shower head was broken in one of our rooms, there were some dirty dishes in the kitchen but maybe to do with dishwasher as we found it didn’t wash dishes very well? I know it seems pedantic but curtains were hanging off in the living room, mould on the ceilings and quite a few old looking spiders/webs. I know it’s rural but they looked like they’d been there a while. These complaints were minor and didn’t impact a fabulous stay. I just feel like combined they were worth mentioning as they are easy to fix for the next guest. Would stay here again definitely. Loved having our own wee beach.

Great place to stay if you’re looking to be a little outside of Inverness and closer to nature. Amazing view and very cozy.

Absolutely loved staying here. Pleasantly surprised by how big and warm it was! Marie was a great host and even put up a Christmas tree (real not fake - looked better than our one at home!) so our toddlers had one to open presents under on Christmas morning. And some chocolate coins for Christmas on the kids beds went down VERY well. Lovey little touches like that really made us feel at home. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to explore the highlands.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pauline and Jay's! The property was lovely with a great kitchen, lovely surroundings and comfortable sleeping arrangements. They had some great amenities including an arcade game, a lovely projector and fire place for our night's in. Pauline and Jay went above and beyond responding to our requests and offering us lovely local recommendations. I'd recommend staying here to all my friends and look forward to coming back!

Archie's place, The Poplars, is a wonderfully located house to explore places around Inverness. Archie was a very caring and responsive host. Felt right at home during our stay. The place was very evidently well-looked after and cared for. The conservatory is an amazing area to lounge in after a long day of sight seeing and well insulated to brave the highland weather. We would definitely hope to stay with Archie when we visit again. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who comes across this review while looking at the listing as well as friends and family.

Just back from an amazing long weekend in The Birches Lodge. WOW. The place is fantastic. The Lodge is modern and well equipped but felt really homely and easy to relax. The view - it's all about the location. Perfectly situated, the Lodge has incredible views. We enjoyed watching the stars from the hot tub on our last night. You won't regret visiting. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Lodge to anyone, we definitely plan to visit again. Thank you Ishbel and Angus. Your place is an absolute cracker. 💯
