Had a lovely stay at Annette and Fred’s place - the location was great, the house was fully stocked and the hosts were extremely responsive when we had questions. Having a hot tub and gas fireplaces were an added bonus for spending the evenings admiring the views.

Tranquility Base…surely lived up to its name. So comfortable, so charming we felt like a part of the forest. The whole place had so much personality we felt right at home Magical and enchanting getaway Highly recommended We’ll be back

Nico was an incredible host, and his home is such a special place. One of my favorite places I’ve stayed, and made for a very memorable trip. The house was unique, private, had everything we needed, and was in a great location. I’d highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting SF looking for a place that feels like a home away from home!

Quiet, peaceful, beautiful garden, responsive host, ample street parking. Definitely worth the price. Plus there's a hot tub you can use after the end of a long day or before the start of one like how we used. MINUTES away from bars, restaurants, and shopping in Oakland. Great location. I'm tempted to only say horrible lies about this place, because I want to keep this gem all to myself. But I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this place. The location was gorgeous, the interior design was beautiful, and the hot tub in the middle of the redwoods was just the cherry on top.

What a wonderful find! One could not ask for a more beautiful, quiet location, but still close to good food, shopping and hiking. The apartment is appointed with lovely fabrics designed by the owners and art from their travels. Everything is spotless, the bed is amazing and the hosts offer tea, coffee and the basics for breakfast. My friend and I both loved it.

Felt like it was just lke my home accept they have a hot tub that I used almost every night during my stay also had a beautiful garden. Is very quiet and relaxing.

Lori and Don raise the bar on how to welcome guests. This home away from home was warm and welcoming, gorgeously stocked with small kindnesses to ease in travelers showing up late. I loved seeing a small flock of sheep and goats graze the pasture behind the house in the early morning, and hearing the chickens cluck in the frontyard coop while getting some fresh morning air.

This was perfect for our specific needs. Wrich is a fabulous and responsive host. Friendly and helpful! Enjoyed our stay and the whole process was very easy to navigate. No complaints!

overall we really liked ramils place. it is very spacious and we loved sitting out on the front porch while the kids enjoyed drawing with chalk on the sidewalk. it was in walking distance to lots of great things including a great little coffee shop (lazy bird) and a playground. they had lots of amenities for people with kids including a stroller for us to use for longer walks. parking was really easy. the kitchen is huge and was a nice place to drink our coffee while the kids ate breakfast. kitchen was decently stocked but we ate out most nights. the only downside was the noise from upstairs. towards the end we were used to it but the first few days it woke us up/surprised us and felt very bothersome. however, I think we would stay here again despite that (and I'm sure we were plenty loud downstairs too). ideally there would be no upstairs noise but for the size, comfort and cost of this Airbnb I'd say it's worth it.

This review is actually from my husband (we booked his stay through my Airbnb account): My second stay here with just a 2 day break in between, 7+ weeks in all at Amy’s and Edgar’s. Lovely people. Very welcoming. Everything I needed to be comfortable and functional - including remote work situation - and great hiking just outside the door, during a particularly stressful period in my life.

Great location, walking distance to go watch the sunset from the bluff of the ocean. The house being at the end of the street was a plus. Home felt very private and you can hear the waves crashing…Both Guliz and Matt were very helpful and quick to respond to our needs.🥰 My partner is in a wheelchair, but easy to bump him up the one step into the house. Our lab loved the doggy friendly home and the large yard to play fetch! 🐶 We will be back~

I enjoyed my time at Audrey’s place. They are centrally located and the backyard is a beautiful place to work or unwind. Audrey, Jordie, and the pups were very friendly and hospitable. I would highly recommend their place for any guest visiting Oakland.

I stayed here for a month and it was great, I highly recommend! As described and seen in the pictures. Annie was helpful and ensured I had everything I needed. I think this apartment is perfect for 1-2 people with a child or small/medium-sized pet. Clean and cozy with nice, warm lighting. The bed was comfy, kitchen was small but well-equipped, living room was roomy with a medium-sized couch, and bathroom more than sufficient. I loved relaxing on the deck as well! The neighborhood is hilly and beautiful, close to bus/ferry/restaurants/stores. Touristy downtown, but not as much in the immediate vicinity. I walked A LOT with my dog and enjoyed it, but the hills can be steep! Definitely a very safe area. The only “con” is, in my opinion, it’s just a bit expensive for the size. However, I understand it’s in a pretty wealthy neighborhood and am sure Airbnb fees/taxes account for a decent part of the cost. Suffice to say, this is a once-in-a-long-while stay for me. Hopefully that’s fair.

Das kleine Häuschen ist wunderschön, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und wunderbar gelegen. Alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Cafés und Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Nähe und von dort aus kann man viele verschiedene tolle Touren machen , ob in der Natur-Reservoirs, Meer oder in der Stadt San Francisco. Ich -wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und ich werde gerne wieder zurückkommen.

It was the perfect place for our family to gather over the holidays. Cozy but spacious with that back cottage providing a separate space for separate couple.

Needed a place for a few days… and fell in LOVE with this hidden gem!!! Amazing hosts- Lori& Mike are the best! They are friendly , helpful and inviting- while simultaneously giving privacy and space. Not to mention all of the amazing work they are doing in and for the community- check out their bio!! The accommodations were beautiful, peaceful and intentional. And CLEAN!! Every space well curated. Home felt like a hug- and was filled with treasures! Looking forward to a return trip!! My partner and I stayed for a night while on our NorCal road trip and it was beautiful! We stayed inside the entire time and it was cozy and comfortable! Would come back, very isolated love it!

Nancy was the nicest and most accommodating host we’ve had at a rental so far. We arrived late one evening when I realized I misplaced the dinner I’d packed to eat when we arrived and when I asked Nancy (who was greeting us when we first arrived) about pizza delivery options, she offered us a nice frozen cornbread pizza to cook in the rental. My hungry young son was so relieved. The backyard overlooks an incredibly green and peaceful hillside and we had such a relaxing time. Also downtown Fairfax is so close by and so adorable. Would love to come back!

Jenny is a lovely, welcoming host. The place itself, while fairly small, is outfitted perfectly - everything from nice phone chargers installed in the bedroom to heated floors in the bathroom. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an Airbnb that was set up so nicely and comprehensively. Highly recommend! I’ll be back again.

Amy's place was wonderful - one of the few places we've ever stayed that was even better in person than in pictures. It was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for the 2 of us. The outdoor space was amazing, plenty of quiet spaces to lounge in the sun and walk around. The area was great as well, quiet but close to downtown, and Amy was a thoughtful and responsive host, we really appreciated her thoughtfulness. The one thing to note is that the Wi-fi could be unreliable - we both worked from the Airbnb, and made it work for the week, but something to note for future visitors. We'd definitely recommend this place and plan to come back next time we visit. Thank you Amy!

My family (parents, grandparents, and kids) stayed at this great waterfront home in March 2025. My kids loved the heated pool, hot tub, and kayak! We liked the well appointed kitchen and having lots of space to spread out across the five bedrooms. The only downside is that’s it’s a bit on the well used side and could use touch-ups here and there and one bedroom is a loft so we had to be aware of the noise level downstairs. That didn’t stop us from having a great time and using this as our jumping off point to the city (15-30 min depending on traffic) or North Bay for hiking, oysters, and wine.

I rented Polina’s place for my daughter and toddler grandson during their visit to the area because my husband and I did not have room for them to stay with us. It was an excellent choice - a lovely well maintained unit on the grounds of Polina and her family’s home in the hills above Walnut Creek. Very peaceful area, yet close to downtown and transportation options. Polina was so kind and helpful, the unit has everything one would need for a short stay in the area. Highly recommended and a good value for the area.

If I could give a rating of 6 stars, I would. This is my go-place when I have to be in the Bay Area.....if it is available. Peaceful is amazing to work with. It has a great location, gated parking, very comfortable bed and more
