Second time staying at this property and it’s a lovely experience and lovely area off the beaten path. Very quiet and clean. I’m appreciative of the hospitality that both Sharon and Stephen showed me. Will be going back for a 3rd time in the future.

We had a great stay. The place is well located, immaculate, comfortable bed and space. Quiet, good walking, beautiful area. Robyn went above and beyond what we expected, she is very generous with her time and efforts to make our stay extra special. Her dogs are sweet and beautiful but we really didn’t see them very often. We will definitely stay here again.

David and Ericka were fabulous hosts! The space is located above the coolest little cafe style kava bar, a popular local spot with good people and great energy. There was live music the nights we were there and you get the best of Pahoa in one spot! The space was easy to get to with a fabulous balcony to overlook the town. It was set up like a loft with tons of space and everything we needed. The bathroom makes you feel like a mermaid. We loved it and loved everything that came with this experience! Would definitely stay here next time we’re in Pāhoa!

We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. Christopher’s place was very clean, with a very comfortable bed, peaceful and quiet surroundings, nice location. Hosts were always helpful and responded very quickly in all correspondence.

Rhonda and Jeff were fantastic hosts! Their place was modern, spotless, cozy, and so thoughtfully set up. The small AC unit was surprisingly powerful—as long as the room door stayed open and the ceiling fan was on low, it stayed perfectly cool. They thought of everything: beach gear (chairs, towels, snorkels), bug spray, even an umbrella by the door. The bed was super comfortable, hot water was reliable, and the assigned parking spot was large and convenient. My husband also appreciated the outdoor cloths for cleaning gear. It’s a bit of a drive from Hilo and Keaau, so a vehicle is needed, but otherwise, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay. We’d absolutely recommend this Airbnb and would happily come back. Rhonda and Jeff are such thoughtful and lovely hosts—thank you both for your warm hospitality!

This place was clean, well stocked ,we loved the pool and beautiful yard and deck! Michelle had plenty of recommendations and was always reachable. I would stay again and can recommend !

Our family loved staying here! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and exploring the grounds finding lizards, snails and birds. The house was clean and spacious and the a/c and fans were appreciated! We hiked to Shipman beach from the house and it was well worth it - saw lots of huge turtles and enjoyed a quick swim before heading back. Highly recommend staying here!

A lovely, quiet setting, yet not too far from town. Sites on the Hamakua coast, such as the Tropical Botanical Garden, were also within easy distance. The room and lanai were very comfortable. The kitchen appliance and clean-up arrangements were a bit awkward, but doable and met our needs. Laura helpfully brought us a coffee grinder to use because there wasn't one in the room.

The pictures didn't do the house justice. It was an amazing home base for our family during our stay. The host was great to work with as well.

Beautiful secluded area & exactly what we were looking for! Had plenty of space for our family and all essential amenities. The screened in lanais were awesome and expanded the living space. Everything was great and Jozsef was very responsive. Would definitely recommend!

If you’re looking for something a little different and off the beaten path, this is a fantastic find! Our family of 4 absolutely loved the space, and felt right at home. The sounds of the forest sang us to sleep each night, and we found some spectacular places to explore each day. Hawaii Volcanoes national park is a little over an hour’s drive away, and there are numerous black sand beaches and other sights to check out in the area. Peaceful, beautiful, and really comfortable. Highly recommend!

10/10 would recommend! Melissa, the host, was amazing with communication and responded very quickly and was really sweet. The airbnb itself was amazing and exactly what we wanted! If I had to describe it in 2 words they would be cozy and tranquil. It was perfect and definitely worth every penny! Chickens are a little feisty but this is Hawaii so they’re everywhere and it makes for a funny story!

My friends and I had the best stay here! Incredibly peaceful and private setting which had us feeling rested taken care of. Instructions were clear and place was filled with character. The hosts put a ton of effort into making the experience the best it could be!

The apartment is just perfect for a couple. I was floored to see the interior decor and layout, and the balcony was a beautiful place to eat breakfast or just to drink coffee and read. Big screen TV and free streaming service, Roku, Netflix, Paramount, Apple TV, Disney+, to name a few, Wifi is excellent should you just want to stay indoors. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay whether you wish to cook or just relax & chill. Parking area is not lit during the night so it's dark but you're safe, and the property has resident geese and chickens. The nightly rate is absolutely reasonable, about a $100 less than the two major hotels on Banyan Drive, plus you get so much more extra room amenities that hotels don't give yet charge you that extra $50 resort fee for things you should get by default. Complementary Keurig cups (coco and coffee) hands down this place is definitely value added. I will certainly look at staying at this place in Hilo town again, 5 ⭐

Great place, literally paces from a BEAUTIFUL lagoon and beach filled with turtles and fish. Nice quiet road dotted with 4 or 5 beaches/parks, and about a 3 mile drive to the shops/grocery stores to keep the kitchen stocked. Also had a French press so we could enjoy our fresh Kona coffee every day.

My fiancé and I stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it. The water view was outstanding — we found ourselves just sitting and soaking it all in. The location is perfect, close to everything in Hilo, yet peaceful and relaxing. The space had everything we needed in one place, making our stay super convenient and comfortable. Honestly, I wish we had found this gem sooner — it’s hands down the best place we’ve stayed at in Hilo. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Super nice place to spend a couple nights while exploring Hilo/Waterfalls/Volcanoes! It’s a bit tough to find but Maggie’s instructions were proactive in letting you know how to get to the right parking lot (make sure to not rely on GPS alone). The public lagoon park is a short walk away and was absolutely gorgeous - some of the most impressive trees you’ll ever see, neat wavy footbridges, and some humbling memorials and statues. The unit itself was nice and comfortable, and overlooks an adorable small creek stocked with koi and a waterfall that lulls you to sleep each night. All different kinds of birds to observe out on the spacious lanai. The pool was large and the common areas were clean and landscaped, despite the buildings themselves being a bit aged. Bar across the parking lot is open late, but other nearby food options close early. Phenomenal location and unit overall for a cheap couple’s getaway on east side Big Island. Recommend!

The stay was great. The place is super beautiful and modern, as well as being well equipped. I highly recommend it.

This is a unique, older complex and the units are efficiencies that come with a nice size patio. We were there in February and enjoyed sleeping at night with the cool night air blowing through the screen patio door. Once you get used to the area noises, it makes for good sleeping. What is nice is that the place comes lightly stocked, or they leave the donated items from other guests for future guests. I would rate this a 2.5/3 star accommodation, but very clean. It does not have central air, but it does have an external source to cool the unit. The building’s small laundry room was convenient and clean. We did not use the pool as the water was in need of a good shocking. There is a golf course that borders the back of the complex with a walking trail to the ocean. The people we met in the complex were friendly and helpful. Downtown Hilo is just five minutes away. We enjoyed our stay here and would return again.

Lovely room with luxurious bedding. The kitchenette with full-sized refrigerator was wonderful.

Hosts were great, condo is exactly as described. We really enjoyed hearing the frogs and the stream next to the property!
